But this excuse will not hold water, because God knew ahead of time what would happen. And Mrs. White made no conditions for the fulfillment of her prophecy. Her statement is plain and to the point. "Thousands have been induced to enlist with the understanding that this war to exterminate slavery, but now that they are fixed, they find that they have been deceived, that the object of this war is not to abolish slavery, but to preserve it ." (Vol.1, pp.254,258). NOTE: We know now that the Civil War in the USA did indeed abolish slavery. Mrs. White was wrong . "Soon we heard the voice of God like many waters which gave us the day and hour of Jesus coming. When God spoke the time, He poured upon us the Holy Spirit." (Vol.1, p.59). NOTE: In this reference Mrs. White claims that the Lord gave her the day and hour of His coming. In Matthew 24:36, Jesus said, " But of that day and hour knoweth no man , no, not the angels in heaven, but my Father only ." And, of course, we know today she was wrong because Jesus did not come when she expected Him. On pages 42-45 of Early Writings , Mrs. White describes a closing of a door in the holy place of the heavenly sanctuary , and an opening in the most holy place (in 1844), that the "midnight cry" was finished at the seventh month 1844 , (see p.43), that then was the "sealing time", and that the time for salvation for sinners had passed (p.45). All the above statements have been proven false by the fact that Christ did NOT return to earth in 1844 . The " midnight cry" WAS NOT FINISHED IN 1844 , FOR THE BIBLE TEACHES THAT HE DID THIS AT HIS ASCENSION (See Hebrews 6:19 ; 9:24 ). The time for the salvation of sinners did NOT pass in 1844. Jesus didn’t change the sabbath to Sunday. Read the Bible carefully. You right Jesus resurrected on the first day as it says in the Bible but did it say it was the sabbath day? No. Read Exodus 20:8-11. 4th commandment and then you tell me if Jesus changed the sabbath to Sunday. You can’t find one scripture in the Bible that proves god change the sabbath from Sunday to Saturday or from the 7th day to the 1st day. In James 2: 10 , it’ says - for whosever keep the whole and yet offend in one point he is guilty of all . In psalms 89 : 34 - my covenant will I not break nor alter the things that is gone out of my mouth. That means the commandments was given to man by God and he never changed any part of it even the sabbath commandment - please read Matthew 5: 17- 19 . The sabbath commandment was given by God in the very beginning of time in the garden of Eden way before the existence of the Jews , it was given to Adam and Eve the parents of all mankind even you and me . In the cause of time man started to turn there back on the law of God but fall so low in wickedness, God desired for all of us is to have communion with him but because of the lawlessness in our world it separated us from God . In Deuteronomy 7: 7 - that’s when God did choose Israel (Jews) as a vehicle in order to bring you and me back to Him . Last Sabbath we met with the dear brethren and sisters here, who meet at Bro, Howlands

We felt an unusual spirit of prayer. And as we prayed, the Holy Ghost fell upon us. We were very happy. Soon I was lost to the earthly things, and was wrapped up in a Vision of God’s glory. I saw an angel swiftly flying to me. He quickly carried me from the earth to the Holy City. In the city I saw a temple, which I entered I passed through a door before I came to the first veil. This veil was raised and I passed into the Holy Place. Here I saw the alter of incense. Before the alter was the table, on which was the candlestick, with seven lamps and the showbread. After viewing the glory of the Holy, Jesus raised the second veil, and I saw passed into the Holy of Holies

In the Holiest I saw an ark, on the top and sides of it was purest gold. On each end of the ark was a lovely Cherub, with the wings spread out over it. Their faces were turned towards each other, and they looked downwards. Between the angels was a golden censor. Above the ark, where the angels stood, was an exceeding bright glory, that appeared like a throne, where God dwelt Jesus stood by the ark. And as the saints prayer came up to Jesus, the incense in the censor would smoke, and He offered of the Saints with the smoke of the incense to His Father. In the ark, was the golden pot of manna. Aaron’s rod that budded and the tables of stone which folded together like a book. Jesus opened them, and I saw the 10 commandments written on them with the finger of God. On one table was 4, and on the other 6. But the 4 on the first table shone brighter than the other 6. But the fourth the Sabbath commandment shone above them all, for the Sabbath was set apart to be kept in honour of God’s Holy name. The Holy Sabbath looked glorious- a halo of glory was all around it. I saw that the Sabbath was not nailed to the cross. If it was, the other 9 commandments were; and we are not liberty to go forth and break them all, as well as to break the fourth. I saw that God had not changed the Sabbath, for He never changes. But the Pope had changed it from the 7th to the 1st day of the week, for he was to change times and laws

I saw all that would not received the mark of the Beast and of his Image, in their foreheads or in their hands, could not buy or sell I saw that the number (666) of the Image Beast was made up; and that it was the beast that changed the Sabbath, and the Image Beast had followed on after, and kept the Pope’s, and not God’s Sabbath. And all we were required to do was to give up God’s Sabbath, and keep the Pope’s and then we should have the mark of the Beast, and of his Image.

"I was shown the company present at the Conference. Said the angel: Some food for worms, some subject to the last plagues, some will be alive and remain upon the earth to be translated at the coming of Jesus ." (Vol.1, p.131).
NOTE: This statement was made in 1856 and every one present in that meeting is now dead . Obviously, this was a false prophecy. Some SDA's, in trying to extricate themselves from the dilemma of this false statement, have argued that had God's people been faithful the Lord would have come long ago. But this excuse will not hold water, because God knew ahead of time what would happen. And Mrs. White made no conditions for the fulfillment of her prophecy. Her statement is plain and to the point.
"Thousands have been induced to enlist with the understanding that this war to exterminate slavery, but now that they are fixed, they find that they have been deceived, that the object of this war is not to abolish slavery, but to preserve it ." (Vol.1, pp.254,258).
NOTE: We know now that the Civil War in the USA did indeed abolish slavery. Mrs. White was wrong .
"Soon we heard the voice of God like many waters which gave us the day and hour of Jesus coming. When God spoke the time, He poured upon us the Holy Spirit." (Vol.1, p.59).
NOTE: In this reference Mrs. White claims that the Lord gave her the day and hour of His coming. In Matthew 24:36, Jesus said, " But of that day and hour knoweth no man , no, not the angels in heaven, but my Father only ." And, of course, we know today she was wrong because Jesus did not come when she expected Him.
On pages 42-45 of Early Writings , Mrs. White describes a closing of a door in the holy place of the heavenly sanctuary , and an opening in the most holy place (in 1844), that the "midnight cry" was finished at the seventh month 1844 , (see p.43), that then was the "sealing time", and that the time for salvation for sinners had passed (p.45).
All the above statements have been proven false by the fact that Christ did NOT return to earth in 1844 . The " midnight cry" WAS NOT FINISHED IN 1844 , FOR THE BIBLE TEACHES THAT HE DID THIS AT HIS ASCENSION (See Hebrews 6:19 ; 9:24 ). The time for the salvation of sinners did NOT pass in 1844. If it did WE ARE in great trouble (LOST) TODAY!

Good morning and happy sabbath brother Rich Butch - the sabbath is a part of God’s 10 commandments . In James 2: 10 , it’ says - for whosever keep the whole and yet offend in one point he is guilty of all . In psalms 89 : 34 - my covenant will I not break nor alter the things that is gone out of my mouth. That means the commandments was given to man by God and he never changed any part of it even the sabbath commandment - please read Matthew 5: 17- 19 . The sabbath commandment was given by God in the very beginning of time in the garden of Eden way before the existence of the Jews , it was given to Adam and Eve the parents of all mankind even you and me . In the cause of time man started to turn there back on the law of God but fall so low in wickedness, God desired for all of us is to have communion with him but because of the lawlessness in our world it separated us from God . In Deuteronomy 7: 7 - that’s when God did choose Israel (Jews) as a vehicle in order to bring you and me back to Him . For example Samoan government made lawyers to govern our people but they use police , layers , Matai in order to help us know the importance of these laws but these laws do not belong to them , the laws belong to the government. the sadness thing is the majority of the time man alter and change there laws but not God .
