Dude, you are, hands down, one of the best guys teaching guitar on RUclips. Seriously. I’ve learned so much cool stuff you. Thank you very, very much. Have a wonderful holiday season and I wish you endless joy and prosperity in the new year.
That has always been one of my favorite solos form the first time I heard it many years ago. Thanks very much for breaking that down within the chords! I will learn that now the correct way!
Thanks so much for the Robben Ford theory videos. I’ve always wanted to learn more of the theory behind his outside playing. Your videos are very helpful.
Great introduction to this sort of playing. Always loved the sound but never had the faintest idea how it happened. Thanks a lot Jack. Lessons are excellent.
Robben is absolutely playing proof where you take your love of music and specifically guitar, learn all this great theory and emulate your favorite great players but develop your very own distinct and fantastic style!! Love Robben Ford and Jack Ruch!! Jack is like the voice of all of us striving to find the beat to our own drummer. Great job here once again, Jack........and I can tell you probably agree here with me..........please consider doing a nice study course on your fellow Truefire great artist and pioneer Robben Ford...........even if he does already have several great TrueFire courses out there!! Jim C.
Hi Jack, very cool video. I was looking for a cool lead line for The Letter by joe cocker , we play it as Bm -> F#7 and this gives me some great ideas! Thank you!
Fantastic! 'Nothin' to Nobody' is one of my favorite Robben Ford tunes. He co-wrote the lyrics with Michael McDonald. Thank you so much for showing us the scales and underlying cords. Your instructional videos are first-rate 😃
Thanks Jack. This is a great way to continue your previous videos related to the melodic minor scale and its derivative modes such as the Lydian Dominant. Brilliant! 👏🙏

This isn't really outside, it's actually the most inside you can get over that particular chord.
You're welcome!
Awesome flavor. Robben does like those types of sounds. The lick immediately sounds like him for sure.
Absolutely!
Jack that was awesome, clear and concise and of course tasteful. Thank you !
Glad it was helpful!

JR...mmmh nice. A Robben Ford lydian approach. As well as the theory plus chord(s) behind it. Definitely one to acquire. I owe ya.
Awesome!
Your playing is awesome! Robben would be honored to hear this offering I'm sure. 🔥😍
Thank you!

Mr. Laconic! I have not heard many making every note count. I 'd be interested to hear Jack live to see/hear the carryover. As always Jack--beautiful!
To be clear, I am referencing eh improv at lesson's end.
Guru!
Do you have a vid in which you talk about your amp and pedal set up ?
Good lesson thx Mr Rush …but could you explain why Lydian Don. On F7 chord ? Any others scale apply on it ? Many thx
Lydian Dominant is a good choice for non functioning dominant chord. But F mixolydian also works.
Many thanks Mr Ruch…
I like your video ❤👍
One more great lesson and great job of the master mr Jack!! Graetfull for all your work!! Do you give online lessons?
Thanks! Yes I do occasionally

When’s the next live show stream? I like seeing you play gigs
I'm not sure when we'll stream again but soon!
Great lesson. I sometimes like to think using an arpeggio off the F7, a C minor with a Ma7 chord.
