That's a great gateway lick to the full size sweeping. Also, a full size sweeping can sometimes sound cliche and played out. This mini one is great to work it into your regular solo without sounding predictable
I learned on a crappy bargain bin strat clone with the worst neck I’ve ever felt. Still I was able to get pretty good with it. But when I got to sweep picking and other fast solo techniques I just couldn’t do them. But then one day I got to play the high end version of Steve vai’s guitar. I was able to play things so much faster, with less effort. I assumed I got better at guitar. But when I got home I still couldn’t do those things just like before. When I went back and played the guitar again I realized it was because of the neck. So I tried sweep picking and I could do it easily. This is when I learned what a fret board radius was, and that different necks have different shapes, and those shapes and radii can dramatically change the way you play. So trying to sweep on a 7.25” vintage style neck with screwed up frets is going to be almost impossible to all but the most talented players. It’s why when I saw one of my school mates dads play eruption note for note perfectly on an acoustic guitar, it freaking blew my mind. Not even Eddie himself could do that.
I was confused when I first started learning this technique the key is to just practice slow and work up the speed and you’ll get better and better, if you want to find more videos on this certain technique I’m pretty sure it’s referred to as circular picking

Its the final countdown......
And that's 'A beginner'.😅
@@joefryhutagaol4276its not a beginner technique. It is easier to use just two strings than all 6
@@joefryhutagaol4276it says for beginners like people beginning to learn sweep picking
Way to be mate
You said what we all thought

Love this lick! Been wanting to learn these kind of classic cliché rock solo licks, this is a great place for me to start!
That is a gorgeous finish on that Tele.
Just thinking about how good that tele looks. Chrome finishing look great with that colour.
Absolutely
The final countdown!

This kinda reminds me of the beginning of John Norums' solo on "Final Countdown".
Perfect explication dude!Love guitarist❤🎸🎵🎶👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👀👍👋✌
Nicely done
Real nice man, thanks
Great lesson❤
Plus 10 points for doing the final countdown solo
this is giving me flashbacks to that fanduels ad
Sounded like the start to crazy train solo
These are the notes used for like most of the Final Countdown solo
Neat!
The red guitar behind
Is that RGA?
Thanks for sharing Matt,
it's still hard when played at insane speeds
What Fender Tele is that?
Thanks bro
What’s the guitar
Sounds like the ending to David Bowie by Phish. Sweet!
Europe - Final Countdown solo.

Why didn't you mention palm muting why your thumb to get that harmonic?
i can do it slow . kinda a brain fudge to get when you been playing for a long time . Trying to erase the platonic zombie moves lol
Shoulda shown sweeping with more than just 2 strings
I still have difficulty doing it. Is this just a skill issue
Keep at it. Slow is good. Results WILL appear. 💫🎸🎵🎶🎵🎶📶📶📶🫶🏼

sounds like europe
Tele!
Ahh, "rest stroke feel" not "breast stroke feel" for anyone else having a tough time moving past that part.
Well that's not sweep picking
Gypsy picking is not correct technique to play this
Not sweeping
If I wanted to learn…I would. But thank you for continuously putting things I don’t gaf about on my for you page.
Find a new route pls.
