the fact that people starts of nodding to the music but suddenly stops and starts to listen in a different way tells the feelings this band produces

They aren’t a Christian band like Norma Jean but Jordan (vocalist/lyricist) was raised in a small religious community in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and so faith (and his loss of it) does play a large part in the songwriting throughout their discography. It’s very cool to see

I think this is the first video I've seen from you and I'm here to stay! I love how you're diving deep into reflection of the lyrics. La Dispute has been a favorite of mine since... 2010 or 2011.
I'd like to second the recommendation for King Park, as well as suggest Bury Your Flame.

I really loved this reaction! I See Everything is such a beautiful song and one of my favorites to see others hear for the first time. One thing you kept touching on was how well the instrumentals molded to the lyrics, that’s actually one of the coolest parts of this album. They decided to let Jordan write the lyrics first and write the music to them instead of the normal reversal of that which everyone normally does. It really shines through with the big stories he wanted to tell throughout Wildlife.

I really enjoyed this reaction, because you really listened to the song and said something about it!
La dispute has very beautiful lyrics in my opinion and a beautiful story-telling way to write the songs and i enjoy seeing people liking there songs
Would recommend King Park from La Dispute and if you kind of liked the style maybe something from the world is a beautiful place? January 10th 2014 is a great song in my opinion

God, every time I listen to this song, I truly am like horrified just imagining how traumatic it would be watching a delirious child about to die and all of a sudden he opens his eyes and says "I see everything", that's so fucking terrifying, certain experiences feel like they should be reserved for an adult who might be prepared for that extremity, the thought of a child seizing in the presence of seeing God in the most like violent and visceral way possible, how could such a small thing be forced to experience more than many of us ever will

You do Aurora AND La Dispute??! You've earned my subscription, now you need to do more La Dispute. I would highly suggest checking out Andria and Said the King to the River to start. And if you check out Alkaline Trio you will hit all in my top 3! Start with Fatally Yours!

La Dispute is a weird band for me, because I don't like wildlife anymore. It is their greatest album for sure, it was an amazing experience, but I don't enjoy it sonically anymore. I prefer listening to a few of the tracks from their album before this one whenever I'm in the mood for the band, Castle builders, said the king to the river, sad prayers for guilty bodies, etc.
