  • Growing impatient while waiting for the suspension for my 19 Tundra build, I decided to test drive the Rebel and I'm glad I did. I believe this will be a far better platform to build my rig and boasting lots of tech, I won't get bored as fast with it.

    Ha, I traded my Tundra in too...for a Limited Ram. The Tundra felt like I was in a time machine. The thing was rattle and plastic. The Ram is just so sexy you can't believe it. Unreal and every time I drive it I cannot wipe the smile off my face, it's that good. Great show man. You are one amazing creative dude, I'm loving it. Thank you, excellent work. I was looking forward to you building the tundra but I've figured out it's not what truck you have, it's how creative you are with your wording and video constructing skills. I was thinking of trading my 18 high country in on a rebel but they wanted me to take too big of a hit. In the drive home I was actually glad the deal fell through. I love my truck. Chevy has a ton of problems but I've had good luck with mine so far. 26k trouble free miles. The 6.2 has gobs of power and the transmission plants it well MOST of the time. But the rebel does have the best screen out of all the trucks currently on the market.

      Ram has some weird pricing. Sticker on the truck is 60k but they have rebates where you can get up to 12k off. I got this one for about 52k. In Utah we have a carry over with trade-in for the taxes owed so that always helps and usually makes trades in equal to private party sales, or close enough.

    Great choice, I love Toyota, but the Tundra is considered the worse of the current full size trucks. It's absolutely ancient inside and out. Feels like an F150 from 10 years ago.

  • @Flydevice1
    @Flydevice1 4 года назад +1

    The tundra is super reliable but people still bought the f150 5.4 triton with spark plugs flying out. Guess reliability wasn’t a priority. The only thing Toyota has to boast about is reliability, it’s the only reason I would ever buy a Toyota. But after the recall of millions of Toyota’s 2011-2019 and my cousin having issues with her new Camry. I think Toyota is going down on quality.

    • @KidRichmond
      @KidRichmond  4 года назад

      JJM 05 I think they’re scared of staying competitive. They’re known for their assembly line economy of efficiency and any small change to the truck makes big changes to the process of assembly and yes this will be their downfall because their brand is growing stale.

    Great choice...... I picked up my 2019 Ram Rebel back in July..... it is an amazing Truck!!!! I was in the market for a new truck for a long time I couldn’t decide on the rebel raptor tundra....... It came down to it the rebel just had so much more options and more technology the other trucks/brand they all just seem outdated.... The ram box is just amazing I put so much stuff in there it just works out perfect for me... I also was hesitant with the Ram lasting..... but I normally don’t keep cars and trucks more than 3 years but just in case I did purchase the extended warranty

      Kid Richmond some guys were posting a string gasket. I may do that once I get it back while waiting to see what the new tundra has to offer. • @KidRichmond
      @KidRichmond  4 года назад

      Reliability was my main concern but then I just made the decision that if things start to go sideways I’ll dump it and get something else. Toyota makes a reliable truck but they still have problems, just less likely that you’ll have continual problems like you can run into with other brands. I think the best thing to do is test drive both.

    • @jasonrios664
      @jasonrios664 4 года назад +1

      Test drive both and see which one you like more. If you care about having a truck that holds its value get the Tundra if you don’t mind taking a hit but can get a higher discount upfront get the ram.

      We buy only Ram trucks at work because of the reliability. Yes, we haul and beat trucks like none other and we had Ford first, then went to GM and when we tried Ram we were all amazed and now we expect the durability. The crews all like the Ram now as well, we have tons of data to show the Ram is more durable and is cheaper to maintain. This truck has no issues while the Ford and GM were having major and costly minor issues. I'm a die hard Ford fanatic, but two years ago I could not deny how amazing the Ram truck is, HD and 1/2 ton. The Ram engineers really listen to the customer and they have put in the home work on this truck...
