Brandon Yates, you've really shown the improvement in not just your work, but your team's art work as well. Dek, Ethan, Shadow, Hyper, you have done some amazing work since you began working with these for Yates. Everyone involved has just done great work in general, and I can't wait to commission from you guys again. And the track itself, AMAZING! It's more stylish than epic, which is a perfect fit for these characters, yet still maintains the feel that this is a finale. Also, the animation was a nice touch, good on you. I'm only glad to be one of your biggest contributors not just with my solo commissions, but helping out many others if my livestream is of any indication. I've seen a lot of Persona and played him in Smash, and I've watch through a lotta Jojo, and honestly, in terms of utility, Joker probably has the advantage, but in terms of raw power (though I am sure that I missed something in Persona,) Giorno has that edge. It might come down to speed, all things considered, since they both likely have abilities to at least disable the other temporarily (Golden Experience's perception-slowing punches and various status effects from Joker's Personas). It's pretty close in those areas.

If we’re giving it the “Cant be compared to other stands” rule then it gets cranked up A LOT in terms of hax and stats. But imo it really comes down to if Joker bypasses GER or not and if the “can’t be compared to other stands” rule will be effective against Joker.

Since a Persona is not an actual stand, Joker shouldn’t be able to see Gold Experience. And since Personas are visible to non Persona users, Giorno should be able to see Joker’s Personas.

@@gameuniverse5973 Must likely a 3D episode as they have 3D models. For Giorno you have the CyberConnect2 model (ASB and EOH). While for Joker you have the P5 model or the Smash Ultimate model. For sprites they'd have to make them from scratch (including the Stand/Persona); Giorno I believe has a fanmade sprite, but I dunno about Joker.
It's a nightmare come true. One of the most annoying and complicated matches ever. My hatred aside, this is easily one of the best tracks I've heard. It's genuinely amazing with little bits of both Giorno and Joker, layered with their general vibes and connections.

This is one of my most wanted matchups and shit, I’d be okay with either winning. I love them both, and I could reasonably see either taking this one. They could also just stalemate which I could ALSO see happening.
This volume has come a long way, figuratively and literally. This track is a fitting finale, and great job to Brandon and the art team for not only this track but for all the tracks in this volume. I can’t wait for the vocal tracks and Volume 5.

I'll really only be upset if Joker gets screwed over at this point. But come on Death Battle. Give us a Draw!!!! Or a Joker W both are acceptable but hopefully a Draw so we can have a good character moment with both characters.
I can see this battle starting with Joker getting intel from futaba that an ancient artifact name the Arrow of Artemis (aka the Requiem Arrow) has been located and moved to Italy's National History Museum to be displayed. So he comes in at night through the window and walks to the display case to only to realize that it's gone and not only that but the displayed has bizarre vegetation and insects like a ladybug around it. Then we see behind a pillar giorono has taken the Arrow and get ready to stab himself with it only to hear the sound of wires and a heavy coat. Only to then see Joker over head gun out ready to fire and the fight begins.
@circularnectarine1439 I saw the preview and here's how the fight starts: It starts with a black screen and shown in purple at the upper left is Giorno's Face with the meter at 100% similar to a Palace Owner within the Metaverse, and in the bottom right in gold is the Phantom Thieves' catchphrase "Take their Heart". And for the bit of the actual fight shown it's still on the black screen as we hear Giorno and Joker call out at the same time "Gold Experience!" "Go! Arsene!" and then it cuts to the battle in what is clearly Giorno's Palace within the Metaverse and we see the Stand and Persona clash fists, and then Joker pulls out his knife and points it at Giorno and makes the declaration "Giorno Giovonna your heart is twisted! It is ours for the taking." and then Joker via Arsene uses Cleave but Gold Experience dodges revealing Giorno sitting on his Palace Throne holding the Calling Card the Phantom Thieves send out to their marks they're about to go after and due to Gold Experience dodging Cleave the Calling Card gets cut in half and as Giorno discards what's left of the Calling Card and confidentially says first in Italian "Stupid Phantom." then in English "My dream is not yours to take." and then Joker fire his pistol, and Gold Experience then punches the bullets turning them into bees however this was all a ruse as Joker takes advantage of Giorno's distraction to successfully via Arsene hit Gold Experience with the fire spell Maragine(Forgive me Persona fans if I misspelled the spell name) which means Giorno gets hit with the powerful fire spell resulting in Joker declaring "Never saw it coming." and then the preview ends with Arsene going in for another attack.
Basically a guy with a spiritual being that can break everything vs a guy who can summon multiple spiritual beings with one that if built properly can be immune to everything unless it’s almighty
@@alexpineda5960 If it's multiversal, then its "Back to Zero" ability would likely prevail against Joker's Personas (especially Satanael). It comes down to whether GER's hax is powerful enough to put down Joker's best Personas, because while Joker has _FAR_ greater versatility, that will mean nothing if GER's hax can "No U" to everything he has including Satanael.

Yaldabaoth was just above 3D, but higher dimensionality doesn't necessarily equate to higher AP (otherwise Bill Cipher would be outerversal but he's not). Deal with it.
Before anyone starts asking “Will this Commission Track be the official Death Battle Music?” No, it won’t. There’s a way to tell the difference, notice how the Official Death Battle Tracks have the Death Battle logo at the top of the Track Art, but the Commission Tracks do not. Brandon Yates has stated many times that these Commission Tracks are not to be used for the Official fights if they ever become real Death Battles (nor do they confirm that the matchups in question are happening for real). He or Therewolf Media will compose something else for the real thing. Think of these Commission Tracks as sort of like Trial Runs that also serve to spread matchup ideas, and then Brandon Yates or Therewolf Media will try to one-up themselves for the real thing, IF (and that’s a big IF) they get confirmed. @@Starwarsfan1253 It is 100% a stomp, the only problem is we can't be 100% sure which one does the stomping. If GER's hax work on Joker, then Girorno wins with ease. Revert to Zero is an instant win no question if Joker can't stop it. If Revert to Zero is able to be resisted by Joker then the building level attack potency of GER doesn't have the probability won't be enough to take down Joker.
@@bestaround3323 I can't for the life of me understand why attack potency is the main reason behind why people think winners should be decided, Golden experience still has a plethra of abilities and haxes that would help him pull through like Damage reflection, Life Giving, Life Shot, Reanimation and body creation (for self-healing) and Life Sensory, Hell Giorno can even wither and rot things by shortening their lifespan,, Whether it can work on humans is a toss up but it's still worth mentioning.
I’m a massive fan of both combatants. I’ve played 400+ hours of P5R and I’ve watched JOJO part 5 through 3 times. I honestly don’t know who wins this matchup. Gold Experience Requiem’s passive ability “reset to zero” is a broken ability which effectively works as a “nope. Never happened.” to any attack made on giorno. Besides the broken passive ability, Gold Experience Requiems stats are infinite in each category. Joker, however, being a wild card has pretty much any buff, debuff, resistance, elemental attack, almighty attack, and immunity you can think of. Both Giorno and Joker are geniuses too You can make a strong case that neither combatant could actually even hurt each other lol
Oh yeah... *_it's really happening..._* As a fan of both Jojo's AND Persona, _and_ as someone who knows how vague and open-to-interpretation Giorno's potential is with his strongest power by the end of his canon story... _this is gonna rock _*_and_*_ suck at the same time._ Yaaay... -_-

After looking at the description I have to say to the art team, great work you all have given us some great art which has helped to make each track unique and enjoyable. No matter how obscure or silly a matchup was we still got some great art respecting the combatants. Yates your work has been fantastic, you and all your collaborators in making each day a track came out a massive treat. Finally to the community as a whole, these matchups have been imaginative and fun, introducing to myself and others in the community characters/series they may have been unfamiliar with.

Yeah, I think that's about fitting for a track to technically "conclude" Volume 4. A MU that's extremely popular and that got a lot of effort put into it both in the song itself and in the animation for said song too. Song itself also perfectly fits. I'm not the biggest fan of Jojo's or Persona myself but I can definitely hear both franchises' themes in there and it's great. I'll note in particular the 3:30-4:00 segment which I find especially unique in how it sounds and it makes for a wonderful transition into the 4:00-5:04 segment and the ending that follows (5:04-5:39) which I'll note is also absolutely wonderfully epic and emotional. Whole song is just really solid but this part in particular is great. Amazing work as always. Now I know I'm just a random in a sea of randoms on this channel so what I'm gonna say is probably irrelevant but I still wanted to personally thank you along with everyone you've worked with for providing us with such amazing tracks throughout the entirety of Volume 4 (even if of course the tracks prior to it were still amazing), your songs legitimately make up for more than half of my repertoire and they're always a blast to listen to. I know I said it numerous times in my "reviews" of songs but it's always impressive just how consistently you manage to make such amazing songs and while I don't have a "tragic backstory" or anything to that extent, I think I can say confidently that those songs have definitely made some of my days brighter and for that I am entirely grateful. So yeah, as a random, I still thank you infinitely for your work with not only your DB songs but all your work in general. And I wish you the best of luck for your future projects, DB-related or not.
Very nice to see this track cover animated. A fitting note to end on for Volume 4 (lyrical tracks not withstanding). Perhaps these animated covers gives me an idea… in all seriousness thank you Brandon and the track artists for the work you’ve done. I like that this one is calmer than other comms, fitting for Persona 5 and Jojo as it would be a bizarre adventure for the two to face-off. It feels a lot like Joker and Giorno are actually having their own adventure together to change hearts. Also remember… take a break…
The animation is superb, cover art is one of the best out of all commissions so far, track is great as always and as someone who isn't a Jojo or Persona fan even I must admit this is the best match for both. All in all the perfect way to end volume 4 (before the vocal tracks start coming)

The animation on the cover is great, the music is an absolute bop all the way through, and the messages at the end were great, seeing you improve all the time with this music is wonderful to see and I wish you the best of luck for whatever you do next! The only way Giorno wins is with GER. As much as I like Part 5, the cast of Persona 5 have the ability to conjure powerful bolts of electricity, powerful tornadoes, massive pillars of flame, shards of ice so cold they almost immediately induce frostbite, psionic blasts, beams of searing Holy light from On High, powerful energy from the darkest pits of Hell, and Nuclear Fission. And Joker has the ability to gain access to all of these. So, unless Giorno can activate GER in time, he's dead.
And even then, that may not work forever since Maruki has a similar power, which Joker managed to overcome. And besides, that is also assuming Giorno can even use the arrow before Joker stops it since it leaves him open.
@@thebudderblock2149 He doesn't need to use the Arrow, gold experience is already a requiem stand. Edit, GER activates during erased time automatically due to being attacked. This means that its ability can activate without Giorno needing to be aware of the danger. The stand could easily react on time to whatever joker throws at him.
It's a cliche to say "I've never clicked on something faster" but the moment this entered my vision in my subscriptions, I was incapable of doing anything but click on it as fast as possible.

I’d like to say that Joker gets the win hands down even with GER, mainly in speed, durability, and attack power. Plus Almighty attacks do bypass the Omnipotent Orb which warps reality to prevent the holder from being damaged. Plus if we took Eyes of Heaven into account, we do see that GER has its limits when it lost against DIO there. Other than that this is a great track to end the fourth volume on and I hope I can get the chance to commission a track myself. Already have a few ideas in mind.
Not arguing there. But it's worth noting that Giorno has difficulty against Reality warping opponents like Over Heaven Dio whereas Joker beats them on the regular. Also Joker's hax of changing his own future would likely negate Return to Zero. And his various skills would stop Giorno's healing options in Life Giver (we know it doesn't work in cold environment and Joker has a plethora of ice skills)

In all honesty though, hype for this matchup aside (not that I really care for either), it’s about time they put another Persona character in Death Battle, the only one we got was Mitsuru Kirijo back in Season 6 And with how many Persona Commission Tracks there are, it’s honestly a crime that there’s only been one in the actual show
Well, person I told that no one is going to want to commission joker vs giorno because its likely happening, I was wrong. Anyway, as someone who absolutely loves both characters, I want this matchup so incredibly badly, even if it will hurt to see one them kill the other.
EXACTLY, I love the Franchises they Are From, Persona 5 Royal is My Favorite game of all time (finally stopping my love for kid icarus uprising in its tracks.) and I love Jojo, Not to mention the Parallels between the two, and the fact that even with how busted they are at their strongest, it's still basically an even 50/50, (personally I think Joker can bypass GER due to the fact that he managed to break every single one of the phantom thieves out of marukis actualization, but that's just me) No matter who wins, I'm just going to be happy when this fight finally happens. as not only does it represent my two favorite characters of two of my favorite franchises going at it, but it also represents the way I've always talked about this fight. Brandon Yates, you've really shown the improvement in not just your work, but your team's art work as well. Dek, Ethan, Shadow, Hyper, you have done some amazing work since you began working with these for Yates. Everyone involved has just done great work in general, and I can't wait to commission from you guys again. And the track itself, AMAZING! It's more stylish than epic, which is a perfect fit for these characters, yet still maintains the feel that this is a finale. Also, the animation was a nice touch, good on you. I'm only glad to be one of your biggest contributors not just with my solo commissions, but helping out many others if my livestream is of any indication.

I've seen a lot of Persona and played him in Smash, and I've watch through a lotta Jojo, and honestly, in terms of utility, Joker probably has the advantage, but in terms of raw power (though I am sure that I missed something in Persona,) Giorno has that edge. It might come down to speed, all things considered, since they both likely have abilities to at least disable the other temporarily (Golden Experience's perception-slowing punches and various status effects from Joker's Personas). It's pretty close in those areas.

If we’re giving it the “Cant be compared to other stands” rule then it gets cranked up A LOT in terms of hax and stats. But imo it really comes down to if Joker bypasses GER or not and if the “can’t be compared to other stands” rule will be effective against Joker.

For sprites they'd have to make them from scratch (including the Stand/Persona); Giorno I believe has a fanmade sprite, but I dunno about Joker.

And thus ends this pretty sick volume. What a fun ride!

This is finally getting animated !
I can see this battle starting with Joker getting intel from futaba that an ancient artifact name the Arrow of Artemis (aka the Requiem Arrow) has been located and moved to Italy's National History Museum to be displayed. So he comes in at night through the window and walks to the display case to only to realize that it's gone and not only that but the displayed has bizarre vegetation and insects like a ladybug around it.
Then we see behind a pillar giorono has taken the Arrow and get ready to stab himself with it only to hear the sound of wires and a heavy coat. Only to then see Joker over head gun out ready to fire and the fight begins.
@circularnectarine1439 I saw the preview and here's how the fight starts:
It starts with a black screen and shown in purple at the upper left is Giorno's Face with the meter at 100% similar to a Palace Owner within the Metaverse, and in the bottom right in gold is the Phantom Thieves' catchphrase "Take their Heart".
And for the bit of the actual fight shown it's still on the black screen as we hear Giorno and Joker call out at the same time "Gold Experience!" "Go! Arsene!" and then it cuts to the battle in what is clearly Giorno's Palace within the Metaverse and we see the Stand and Persona clash fists, and then Joker pulls out his knife and points it at Giorno and makes the declaration "Giorno Giovonna your heart is twisted! It is ours for the taking." and then Joker via Arsene uses Cleave but Gold Experience dodges revealing Giorno sitting on his Palace Throne holding the Calling Card the Phantom Thieves send out to their marks they're about to go after and due to Gold Experience dodging Cleave the Calling Card gets cut in half and as Giorno discards what's left of the Calling Card and confidentially says first in Italian "Stupid Phantom." then in English "My dream is not yours to take." and then Joker fire his pistol, and Gold Experience then punches the bullets turning them into bees however this was all a ruse as Joker takes advantage of Giorno's distraction to successfully via Arsene hit Gold Experience with the fire spell Maragine(Forgive me Persona fans if I misspelled the spell name) which means Giorno gets hit with the powerful fire spell resulting in Joker declaring "Never saw it coming." and then the preview ends with Arsene going in for another attack.
Basically a guy with a spiritual being that can break everything vs a guy who can summon multiple spiritual beings with one that if built properly can be immune to everything unless it’s almighty

It comes down to whether GER's hax is powerful enough to put down Joker's best Personas, because while Joker has _FAR_ greater versatility, that will mean nothing if GER's hax can "No U" to everything he has including Satanael.

It scales to Chariot Requiem, which is stated and proven to be multiversal (literally grabbed and mismatched organisms from across the multiverse just by wandering around). Joker isn't even outerversal lol, chill your ass out. Yaldabaoth was just above 3D, but higher dimensionality doesn't necessarily equate to higher AP (otherwise Bill Cipher would be outerversal but he's not). Deal with it.
Before anyone starts asking “Will this Commission Track be the official Death Battle Music?”
No, it won’t. There’s a way to tell the difference, notice how the Official Death Battle Tracks have the Death Battle logo at the top of the Track Art, but the Commission Tracks do not. Brandon Yates has stated many times that these Commission Tracks are not to be used for the Official fights if they ever become real Death Battles (nor do they confirm that the matchups in question are happening for real). He or Therewolf Media will compose something else for the real thing.
Think of these Commission Tracks as sort of like Trial Runs that also serve to spread matchup ideas, and then Brandon Yates or Therewolf Media will try to one-up themselves for the real thing, IF (and that’s a big IF) they get confirmed.
That’s how it has worked in the past, and that is how it will continue to work in the future.

@@bestaround3323 I can't for the life of me understand why attack potency is the main reason behind why people think winners should be decided, Golden experience still has a plethra of abilities and haxes that would help him pull through like Damage reflection, Life Giving, Life Shot, Reanimation and body creation (for self-healing) and Life Sensory, Hell Giorno can even wither and rot things by shortening their lifespan,, Whether it can work on humans is a toss up but it's still worth mentioning.
This is probably the trippest and the most visually appeasing Death Battle track so far.
I’m a massive fan of both combatants. I’ve played 400+ hours of P5R and I’ve watched JOJO part 5 through 3 times.
I honestly don’t know who wins this matchup.
Gold Experience Requiem’s passive ability “reset to zero” is a broken ability which effectively works as a “nope. Never happened.” to any attack made on giorno. Besides the broken passive ability, Gold Experience Requiems stats are infinite in each category.
Joker, however, being a wild card has pretty much any buff, debuff, resistance, elemental attack, almighty attack, and immunity you can think of.
Both Giorno and Joker are geniuses too
You can make a strong case that neither combatant could actually even hurt each other lol

After looking at the description I have to say to the art team, great work you all have given us some great art which has helped to make each track unique and enjoyable. No matter how obscure or silly a matchup was we still got some great art respecting the combatants. Yates your work has been fantastic, you and all your collaborators in making each day a track came out a massive treat. Finally to the community as a whole, these matchups have been imaginative and fun, introducing to myself and others in the community characters/series they may have been unfamiliar with.
Been waiting for this to come out when I first heard it was being commissioned and I’m glad to see it came out as a certified banger

Yeah, I think that's about fitting for a track to technically "conclude" Volume 4. A MU that's extremely popular and that got a lot of effort put into it both in the song itself and in the animation for said song too.
Song itself also perfectly fits. I'm not the biggest fan of Jojo's or Persona myself but I can definitely hear both franchises' themes in there and it's great. I'll note in particular the 3:30-4:00 segment which I find especially unique in how it sounds and it makes for a wonderful transition into the 4:00-5:04 segment and the ending that follows (5:04-5:39) which I'll note is also absolutely wonderfully epic and emotional. Whole song is just really solid but this part in particular is great. Amazing work as always.
Now I know I'm just a random in a sea of randoms on this channel so what I'm gonna say is probably irrelevant but I still wanted to personally thank you along with everyone you've worked with for providing us with such amazing tracks throughout the entirety of Volume 4 (even if of course the tracks prior to it were still amazing), your songs legitimately make up for more than half of my repertoire and they're always a blast to listen to.
I know I said it numerous times in my "reviews" of songs but it's always impressive just how consistently you manage to make such amazing songs and while I don't have a "tragic backstory" or anything to that extent, I think I can say confidently that those songs have definitely made some of my days brighter and for that I am entirely grateful.
So yeah, as a random, I still thank you infinitely for your work with not only your DB songs but all your work in general. And I wish you the best of luck for your future projects, DB-related or not.

Very nice to see this track cover animated. A fitting note to end on for Volume 4 (lyrical tracks not withstanding). Perhaps these animated covers gives me an idea… in all seriousness thank you Brandon and the track artists for the work you’ve done. I like that this one is calmer than other comms, fitting for Persona 5 and Jojo as it would be a bizarre adventure for the two to face-off. It feels a lot like Joker and Giorno are actually having their own adventure together to change hearts. Also remember… take a break…
The animation is superb, cover art is one of the best out of all commissions so far, track is great as always and as someone who isn't a Jojo or Persona fan even I must admit this is the best match for both. All in all the perfect way to end volume 4 (before the vocal tracks start coming)

The only way Giorno wins is with GER. As much as I like Part 5, the cast of Persona 5 have the ability to conjure powerful bolts of electricity, powerful tornadoes, massive pillars of flame, shards of ice so cold they almost immediately induce frostbite, psionic blasts, beams of searing Holy light from On High, powerful energy from the darkest pits of Hell, and Nuclear Fission. And Joker has the ability to gain access to all of these.
So, unless Giorno can activate GER in time, he's dead.
And even then, that may not work forever since Maruki has a similar power, which Joker managed to overcome. And besides, that is also assuming Giorno can even use the arrow before Joker stops it since it leaves him open.

Edit, GER activates during erased time automatically due to being attacked. This means that its ability can activate without Giorno needing to be aware of the danger. The stand could easily react on time to whatever joker throws at him.
It's a cliche to say "I've never clicked on something faster" but the moment this entered my vision in my subscriptions, I was incapable of doing anything but click on it as fast as possible.

I’d like to say that Joker gets the win hands down even with GER, mainly in speed, durability, and attack power. Plus Almighty attacks do bypass the Omnipotent Orb which warps reality to prevent the holder from being damaged. Plus if we took Eyes of Heaven into account, we do see that GER has its limits when it lost against DIO there.
Other than that this is a great track to end the fourth volume on and I hope I can get the chance to commission a track myself. Already have a few ideas in mind.
Not arguing there. But it's worth noting that Giorno has difficulty against Reality warping opponents like Over Heaven Dio whereas Joker beats them on the regular. Also Joker's hax of changing his own future would likely negate Return to Zero. And his various skills would stop Giorno's healing options in Life Giver (we know it doesn't work in cold environment and Joker has a plethora of ice skills)

In all honesty though, hype for this matchup aside (not that I really care for either), it’s about time they put another Persona character in Death Battle, the only one we got was Mitsuru Kirijo back in Season 6
And with how many Persona Commission Tracks there are, it’s honestly a crime that there’s only been one in the actual show
Well, person I told that no one is going to want to commission joker vs giorno because its likely happening, I was wrong. Anyway, as someone who absolutely loves both characters, I want this matchup so incredibly badly, even if it will hurt to see one them kill the other.
EXACTLY, I love the Franchises they Are From, Persona 5 Royal is My Favorite game of all time (finally stopping my love for kid icarus uprising in its tracks.) and I love Jojo, Not to mention the Parallels between the two, and the fact that even with how busted they are at their strongest, it's still basically an even 50/50, (personally I think Joker can bypass GER due to the fact that he managed to break every single one of the phantom thieves out of marukis actualization, but that's just me)
No matter who wins, I'm just going to be happy when this fight finally happens. as not only does it represent my two favorite characters of two of my favorite franchises going at it, but it also represents the way I've always talked about this fight.
