    Man, your kata bunkais are great! All of them are what the okinawan masters intended them to be: close quarter combat and with the aim of putting the enemy down as fast as possible. Karate suddenly became more enriched for me. Keep it up, sensei!

      Many of the throws that we practice in karate are more about breaking the opponent's balance and then rotation to the ground. They won't work for an ippon in Judo, but their intended purpose is just to get the opponent down in order to finish with a strike, joint lock, or choke.
