Also Nidus isn’t a mummy he is an infestation. The infestation are the flood of warframe they do the same thing. All frames are created using infestation however it’s a highly controlled and refined version. Nidus infestation is more pure so while he is still friendly he looks a lot more like actual infested beings. basically imagine a warframe as a Spartan and imagine Nidus as a flood infected Spartan that is still on the side of good.

Hydroid: One of the worst Warframes but holy gosh he's cool.
Nezha: He might be small but he's hard to kill. He sets everything on fire too.
Octavia: Her music is so loud everything dies.
Gara: Everyone knows how dangerous glass is. She does not care.
Nidus: You cannot kill him. Nothing can kill him.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Just a heads up if you two eventually plan on watching all the Warframe Profiles. Some of the Warframes have had reworks since the release of their Profiles, but they will give you an idea of how you should play them non-the-less. And some of these are really old, like 2013/14. The start of the list is Loki and finishing it off with Caliban, the most recent Frame.
Until Nidus came out, Saryn was my go-to Warframe. She's had to be nerfed several times actually... simply too amazing. She cultivates and releases deadly spores that, mechanically, infect units without killing them. When they rupture, they spread to nearby enemies, and then start dealing damage. The more they spread, the more potent they become. Pre-nerfs, she could wipe out an entire map of enemies from the starting room by maximizing her Range stat to allow her spores to spread through walls (In my head, it was spreading through the air vents/life support systems) and everything would just instantly die without Saryn having to lift a finger! It was great.

Whoever got Nidus basically wins by default. He just does not die. Imagine weaponized space cancer in warframe form. Kind of like deadpool but without the sass ;)

While Bethany has the "better" team on paper simply because of Saryn, Ken actually has two of the most absurd frames in the game; Mirage does absolutely batshit damage with one of her augment mods and Octavia literally scales *infinitely* because the enemy damage themselves, so the higher level they are, the more damage they do to themselves, into the billions.
Better vs batshit damage. Sounds like we picked appropriate teams 😂😁
Oh yeah. Just throw down Octavia's 1 and 4 and use her 3 for invisibility so the enemy don't focus you and you just watch them kill themselves. She is one of the go to Frames for Steel Path.
I'd also say that of all the frames we saw, Nidus is THE tankiest frame, and can also scale absurdly well into late game
I have been playing warframe since it first came out as a founder, the Rhino was my go to for many years, until I found the Mirage, and she has been my favorite for years now.
The mirror images, the disco ball of death, although they dont really show how she is stronger defensive in the shadow, but aggressive in the light.
Ovtavia is real fun cause you get to make custom music that deals damage to enemies and buffs allies.
I played Warframe for a while when it first came out but I wasn’t a big fan of the set up where you just had a main menu and you chose your arsenal and mission and then came back, so I quit for a while, then when I heard about things like operators more story missions and open world areas i came back, I have a lot of Warframe specially after this event I got all the prime frames they were giving out, but my favorites r usually wisp,atlas, & harrow(mostly just for looks lol)

Nezha is one of my personal favorites as he is one of my best frames. Also these aren’t all the primes they didnt used to do trailers so some of the older primes dont have them.

I still think Mirage has the best overall design out of all the Primes out right now.
My main Whisp (her ultimate is literally creating a pocket portal to a sun to focus it into a beam to annihilate enemies) doesn't have a Prime yet tho.

Mirage Prime is both my favorite Warframe in the game, and has my favorite Prime Trailer - she's a ton of fun to play as, especially in missions putting you against massive hordes of enemies. With four doppelgangers wielding the same weapons as you do, any threat in your way is pulled down to ground level in miliseconds

Valkyrs lore is one of the saddest, but one of my favourites to play as since when you use the rage, you become immune to damage
Some context for the Gara Prime "Twinkled like a petty Ayatan."
Ayatan's literal translation is Memory, but as an Orokin word it doesn't fully translate properly. As Ayatan is closer to a cherished/prized/momentous memory given physical form in an Ornate Sculpture in perpetual motion.
Easily one of my favorites with a whole lot of lore weirdness, none of which can be discussed without Spoilers. The exception being that both the original Gara and Gara prime possessing the same personality, both making the choice to sacrifice their lives for the greater good.
The Truth spoken of in the Gara Prime Trailer and the throb of Helminth blood in the Octavia Prime Trailer...both are uncredibly dark, immoral, yet necessary.

I am an Ash main, he's a proper ninja, with assassinations, invisibility and teleports behind you energy. Oh and surakins, after you watch all the music numbers and trailers, why don't you give gaming it a bit of a go, especially if you got the pcs. It takes a while to get to the second dream, but it's worth a poke and entirely co-opable.
We may at some point try it but we got a big gaming bucket list to work through 😅
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames It's a free game, so that makes it easy to aquire and pick up over ones with a price tag. Also, not sure if someone explained, but Mag, Volt and Excaliber are the starting frames, so you got time to decide who picks up what. The introduction mission I don't believe is Co-Op but most missions after, barring a few, are co-op after that one.
You two can also decide weapons, the choice of a pistol or throwing daggers, an assault rifle or bow, and a sword or staff. If I rememember rightly. So during the trailer and watching experience to that point, you two can think of what weapon combination, and frame you two each want as your starting weapons your stuck with till you aquire others.
Fun fact: There are as many male/female Warframes, as every other released will be of one or another gender. They also have some ambigious Warframes and different body types according to the archetypes. Players familiar with the game are free to disagree, these are round about the themes they took inspiration from when desinging the Warframes.

@@edgeelric4245 Primes are release in 2 by 2 like you correctly know, but in regular variants ever other is male and every other female. The only ever exception to that was Wukong (male) and Nezha (male) when DE was tasked to make them upon Tencent acquiring DE years ago. DE restored gender balance later on by releasing two females in a row. Given the previous Warframe Caliban is male, the next one ought to be female.
Been playing for years - aside from your recommendations from others already, if you two have no intent to play it yourselves, I'd still highly recommend experiencing the story Quests through some means as well - there's REALLY nothing like it. Whether through playing or watching, I hope to see you two check it out!

I just discovered warframe and Ive seen so many of your videos through the years, but I never bothered checking these out. Very pleasant
Oh and something I failed to mention in my last message, is that, despite appearances, the game, barring a few open world sections (Which is a side activity in this game, yeah the OPEN world, is an optional side activity) is absolutely optimized to the 9s. Most of the game can be run ona potato and still run good for some reason. They have done incredible work there.
one of my fav things about warframes is that there is so many characters to choose from not to mention the highly detailed customization options. I love that each warframe has a theme to them. Like octavia is a music warframe and gara is a glass warframe. Not to mention you get to have animal allies like a dog or cat, a alien version i suppose. and you can actually mix and match dna to create a new looking animal.
The themes are really cool and allows them to be really distinctive. Sometimes in games characters tend to blend together if you are unfamiliar with the game 🙂
They aren’t technically aliens. More so evolved versions of them. Adapting to the environment after millennia

It's too bad they started doing these prime trailers well _after_ they came out with prime warframes. There are quite a few of the older primes that don't have trailers: Excalibur Prime (this one's questionable because only founders can have him, but he exists nonetheless), Ash Prime, Volt Prime, Mag Prime, Rhino Prime, Loki Prime, Frost Prime, Ember Prime, and Nova Prime are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

The look of the non prime Valkyr is because of the Zenuka Project. All that is left is the blue portion on her face. If you go to her wiki profile, her Gersemi skin is what she originally looked like before Alad V captured her. They have a prime version of Valkyr's Bonds, Chordalla Prime.
I always tended to main Valkyr back when I played, but then they nerfed her and I was sad (tbf, she probably needed it, she can literally turn invincible basically forever.) But I found a lot of frames were VERY good at specific missions types, so I tended to run a few specific ones for certain events. I never had any of the primes though.
The only things that used to stop Valkyr was running out of energy, which didn't happen often unless certain enemies spawned that quickly drained it from you, and other enemies that one faction called Corpus has that have ability negating shields which force you to come into melee range to deal with them, which turns off Valkyrs powers and usually kills you (Valk has no real ranged weapons, so she couldn't fight those guys at all). But if you worked around those issues you could fight anything else and carry entire teams, at any level, in any game mode and walk out with an insane number of kills easily.
Mag was the best at anything involving the Corpus faction (one of her abilities overloads shields, Corpus are all about shields, and her ability scales at higher levels and with greater enemy numbers), so she could basically solo entire waves of level 100+ enemies on defense missions with a single button press and could solo push the on-rails mine track missions that consume your shields to move (that same ability also restores your own shields) so you'd never die and you could speedrun the whole thing.
For dealing with the Infested faction, Ember was the go-to. You literally don't need weapons. Just turn on your ult and run around the area, everything around you catches fire constantly and gets stunlocked, even if you can't see them. Easiest character to cheese.
For infiltration missions (basically a series of mini-heist style rooms you have to infiltrate through) there was Loki. He can turn invisible and teleport... yeah, nuff said.
Was also a fan of Banshee (no real niche, just fun with her sound-cancelling powers that temporarily stun enemies, for easy kills) and Nova, who can slow down (or speed up, if you want to speedrun certain events) enemy movement and can dose enemies with explosive energy, which she then detonates with auto-aiming antimatter balls. Always a fun time setting up long chains of exploding enemies. She could also teleport.
Saryn was also great, but god damn if she doesn't kill your processer with all the damage she deals. She basically unleashes viruses that can spread endlessly. On certain maps, you can just see numbers triggering through walls hundreds of meters away as yet more enemies spawn and get killed, passing on the infection to even more enemies and so on. It gets a bit nuts.
It’s better when you have to mix and match for missions instead of just playing one character and bulldozing through everything because they are OP….although that’s still pretty fun 😁
Valkyr kinda needs to be brought back and reworked because what you said where she shined. Now other warframes can do better. Baruuk the monk warframe is basically Valkyr and Excalibur mushed together with a better Excalibur 4 Augment. And then there is Sevagoth the wraith warframe. They literally outshined Valkyr in every way. I do hope Valkyr gets looked at bad because she can’t keep up to those two especially.
Fun little detail about the Nidus pets (maggots btw). They look a bit like excalibur's head, excalibur prime being the first prime warframe to be released.

I’d recommend checking out the newer prime trailers that have been released, especially Grendel’s and Guass’ right after (They continue off of each others)
Oberon Prime is by far my favorite frame. His ability kit is so fun to me and he has my favorite looking skins in the game.

Fun fact: every warframe in the game is intended to have a prime frame (there’s about 40 something warframes in the game I lost track) there are a lot of prime warframes in the game but not a lot of prime trailers unfortunately. Hydroid Prime was here for a long time and they now decided to release the trailer at Tennocon 2020
If there was one with Mesa (gunslinger frame) that would make me happy as I am a Mesa main
From a game design perspective, the developers intend to give every warframe a Prime counterpart.
From a lore perspective implied from The Sacrifice, Ivara Prime, and the retcon from Prime Resurgence its a bit weird...
"Some Warframes were made Primes, others earned it" fitting into the narrative of The Sacrifice, the story of Ivara's hunt from the Prex Cards, and the possible implication that Valkyr and Harrow Prime variants by Ballas after the Tennos reawakening.
P.S. for anyone new who wants to have these "retired" Primes, you can purchase the parts from other players all year round! (with the exception of Excalibur Prime.)

Just had to go through your backlog of videos for a bit, but if your gonna react to the music "videos", though I don't believe they have much cinematics beyond the We Lift together, the three musical entries if you wanna react to, is We lift together, sleep in the cold below, and then lastly the spoiler filled For Namar. Though the Sleep in the cold below can be watch at any point, the other two have to be listened to in that order for maximum impact.

Well As a Warframe fan I'll leave a list here about other interesting design concepts of certain Warframes. You didn't saw.
1-There's Ash, which even though the game publishes "Ninjas play free" and all Warframes are technically Ninjas, Ash is by far the most Ninja of all, Shurikens, smoke bombs, clones, executions. If your heart beats in weeb then most likely you'll like it.
2-There's Gauss, he's the Speedster, he is all about going fast and kinetic energy. The best part is that he is blue, so gotta go fast.
3-There's Garuda who is centered around blood and Gore but like looks like a well dressed woman: refined and beautiful but cruel.
4-And Harrow which I consider one of the most sinisters Frames but not by design but backstory though helps, he looks like a Catholic Priest: Long robes, wears a thurible that uses for flagellating himself and getting buffs in exchange. His Prime version was recently released and I hope we get soon his prime trailer and not have to wait 3 damn years like happened with Hydroid.
Garuda sounds fascinating and bet would have a fantastic trailer 😀

Another curious thing. all frames have a series of alternative helmets/heads for cosmetic purposes, usually they have really curious connections with their thematics.
Garuda's first alternative helmet is called "Bathory" named after Elizabeth Bathory, a Hungarian Noble that was told that had such an obsession/addiction, with bathing in the blood of young Virgins in order keep her own Youth and beauty. Witnesses said that they saw Elizabeth personally killing her own servants, probably even on a daily basis because it is believed that her body count could go up to the 650 victims, making her most probably the female serial murderer with the biggest body count of all human history.
You know fitting for a Character which whole motiff is being an absolute savage able to use the blood of its victims, while also behaving and moving elegantly.
Elizabeth was usually compared with Vlad the Impaler in terms of savagery, you know, Bram Stoker role model for Dracula.
Been a while since I played but watching your reaction got me interested again.

EDIT: Got in first before watching for reasons, few things to note; Hydroid Prime trailer was a meme in the community for years, it was missing for a long time, and his trailer was skipped for a while.
Prime warframes are basically advanced/elite/prototype warframes, where as the common ones are the mass produced version
The guy narrating was the dude who designed/engineered most of the frames
the wep at the 6:40 mark uses sentinal tech, which counters warframe powers, the warframe, valkyr is literally a "too angry to die" frame, her ult heals her each time she hits someone, and is hands down my fav frame
octavia can also be set up to play your own music
One picks support types, the other mainly damage, damage wins, as the enemy cant do anything if they dead

Valkyr is probably one of the ones i play when i don't want to worry about diying to much! But i think Mesa was the name of the my favorite frame (The Gunslinger if i was wrong about the name it's been a while since i played).
16:25 Ballas really does live up to his name, with his chutzpah.
Nihil the Judge demanded cruelly that the volunteer Warframe would be _glassed_ - turned to a memoryglass statue - for trying to kiss up to her gods.
So Ballas made her into a master of Glass, and gave her an executioner's axe. :D
Big bad of warframe or no, he can be nice every once in a while.
Same with the template for Mirage. She was so stubborn and defiant that Ballas couldn't control the Warframe's theme. So he rolled with the result and cheerfully outfitted Mirage to be the jester.

I'd recommend looking at the origin of the warframe names. Like how Mirage is a harlequin. Oberon is a forest spirit myth in northern Europe, I think mainly in the UK

You two should really check out the Gravity Rush 1 and 2 trailers (Or Gravity Daze as it was referred as in Japan), not only is it gameplay, the songs are amazing, my personal favorite is "A Red Apple Fell from the Sky", there's even a whole animation called Gravity Rush: Overture that pretty much fills in the void in what happened after the story of Gravity Rush 1 and up to now in Gravity Rush 2, the franchise is incredibly old but so underrated! (Also the in-game language is known as Romanji, technically there's 2 other languages, but this is the most notable, it's made-up but it's similar to French and Japanese!)

Like most people are suggesting, a good idea to watch is the warframe profile videos. There were a bunch of frames you didnt see here due to them not having a prime variant yet. They give in depth looks at the frames ability's and will introduce to a bunch of frames you may not have seen. I wonder what you'll think of yareli, the kawaii surfer, and gauss, the speedster 👍
Some frames have gone through reworks so some videos may be a little outdated but they should still be mostly accurate.

Mirage was my favourite pick,altought i played Saryn alot.
She (Mirage) has also a quest for her non-prime variant,with a sad backstory. I still remeber the first time i've camed across the lore of Mirage and i got to say that i ended up sitting amazed but speechless.I loved the way they combiined the sad part with a funny part (the jester) and it just balanced so well.
We look forward to getting more into the story of this game 🙂

I'm sure anybodies told you this, the Warframes the space ninjas that's doing all the crazy super powers are empty shells even though all warframes have their own look and power, they are controlled and powered by the Tenno who look like human children but were changed after they were exposed to the void and given incredible powers and made into weapons by an empire who they later rebelled against lead by the Lotus who became their guide and mother figure.

Personally, my favourite weapons are a giant ass shotgun and a super fast knife.

Seems like a close call, but I just don't think a trio of Valkyr, Saryn and Oberon could lose, especially how their abilities would complement each other. @@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames yep he used to be a starter but was they swapped him out cause he was very situational and i think they thought too difficult for beginners. But yea the frame is cool he can make holograms of himself and go invisible, great for spy missions

Revenant isn’t primed but he’s my favorite you make a literal army in seconds with enthrall all you need is to get one and he will infect others by shooting or going near them

Octavia is always good. A good team player too. And fun obviously.
But Saryn is my favorite. Both for her theme and power level. She can make quick work of big crowds.
I like games with multiple "heroes" that have their own themes and stories.
Darkest Dungeon also does this very well, but with a Lovecraftian setting. It doesn't have as many trailers but there are a couple of good cinematics from both games. I recommend it :)
