My priest met St. Paisios in the '80s before he became a priest. The saint knew his name even before he introduced himself. Not only that, when my priest confessed his sins & shared about his past, the saint knew his sins & the past that he had forgotten. My priest cried right there & then.
The lives Saints Paisios and Porphyrios are some of my favorite to read about. Hearing stories of how they were good friends always brings a smile on my face.
Sometimes I wish I was born 20 years earlier so I could meet this generation of saints. Even through pictures & footage the piety of Saint Paisios can be felt. Saint Paisios pray for us.
I'm Catholic, but I have a private devotion to St Paisios. I love the story about him battling his doubts regarding evolution and Christ being God by an all night prayer vigil.
thank you so much for this video! 🙏 if a Holy man like this suffered so greatly to be joined to Christ, how hard it will be for a sinner like me! but through his prayers, of Saint Paisios, who knows my struggle from Heaven and has been made compassionate like Christ God; i know i will have a great help in my struggle to become Like Him too.
@@LovingtheTruth856 have you ever considered Attending an Orthodox Divine Liturgy? go and see for yourself, friend... to judge the Body of Christ from outside without ever looking into it would be a mistake... i went to Attend, and i was convinced after seeing how the teaching of the Apostles, and thereby the teaching of Christ God, are preserved and not tainted by man's wisdom. man's wisdom says,"the Church is many bodies, and the Body of Christ is split between many, disagreeing sects!" but the Divinely wise Apostle Paul wrote to his fellow Christians with the words,"Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle." and in this we see that there is a Holy Tradition, taught by the Apostles of Christ to their disciples, and handed down and preserved by the Grace of God, untainted, unchanged; delivered by the All-Holy Spirit to the Apostles from Christ the Lord. as Christ said,"Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come. He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine, and shall shew it unto you." the All-Holy Spirit descended upon and filled the Ever-Virgin Mary, the Apostles and the 70, and they went out into all the world, spreading the Gospel of peace, teaching and Baptising all in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. ❤☦❤

O Protector of Australia, vigilant guardian and resplendent pillar of Mount Athos, we the faithful let us praise the holy Paisios, and beseeching his intercessions before God, crying out with one voice, deliver us, O father of all, from the arrows of the vengeful one.
