Good hydrocleaning of coil thats the best way to clean coils. I would like to know how much hose did you use to get to RTU if the hose bib is on ground level that is a lot of work your hard work is appreciated. it should be a code requirement to install hose bibs on roof tops, in Texas it is a option but not a requirement so it is hard work not all techs will do this.

It’s definitely challenging when there is no water source close by. I used 200ft of hose.

I've found a leaf blower works well for drying micro channel coils.

The video is good , but it would also have been good to mention that when the coils are worm or micro Chanel coils you can not apply a chemical to descale them . otherwise the video is respectable.

how often do you have to clean coils

    • @hvacmadeeasy1788

Depends on the dirt content that the condensing unit is exposed to but every 6 months would be ideal.

Hi .. anyone can discuss to me if you have any idea regarding the split duct AC which is running but still there is no enough cooling coming out. We did checked the piping and coil and it is cooling. only the problem is the indoor unit blows not enough cold. we can feel just like fan only. thanks..

Was the system precharged? Did you vacuum the lines before installing?

why is the sub-cooling only 0.5 degrees?

The condenser coil was still wet at the time.

@hvacmadeeasy1788 a wet coil would improve heat transfer and increase subcooling, not decrease it.
