Man. What a sweet take. Thanks for sharing. I’d love to hear more American primitive covers of classics. I have one I’m sorta working on for Deep Purple’s “Highway Star” but really it was an original riff that I just realized sounded like a transposition of it. Now I’m torn on whether to keep taking it to an original place or trying to flesh out the cover. Either way I’m not quite good enough to do it justice.. maybe some day

The first verse A section not so much except for the continuous bass line. The B section is slightly changed in all aspects.
