Heartbroken Man’s New House Is Swept Out to Sea

- Ralph Patricelli’s half-million-dollar home on the breathtaking Outer Banks of North Carolina was recently destroyed during a storm. Patricelli, who lives in California, planned to spend his retirement at the house. He bought the place last August, and hadn’t spent a single night in it. The heartbroken former homeowner told Inside Edition’s Jim Moret, “I don’t have anything left except a vacant lot.”
Who buys a house that close to the ocean? The house foundation is literally built in moving sand.
Sorry for posting it twice. I tried to edit it, but it kept refusing to accept the edited version, so I copied and pasted it into a new comment and it worked fine. So I deleted the first one.
Well the Bible talks about foundation also
What to do when seeing this video.....

Why would you make it with wood? I literally don't understand that part of it.
That's what i was thinking. If its caused by flood it would be much more understandable.

Exactly 😐🙄
@@avarice5071 wood or concrete, it doesn't matter because the house is too close to water, its gonna take some serious pilings to have solid foundation there, the sand is too loose and its gonna be swept away from the bottom.
There should be laws against building so close to the ocean for environmental reasons and for scenic reasons. I saw homes too close to the ocean here on Hawai'i Island get taken out to sea from a small tsunami. Plenty of us commented for years about those homes being likely to get wiped out from a small tsunami and when it happened nobody was shocked except for the home owners.
And safety reasons. The risks of the house just being swept away like in the video is just not worth it. If someone had been inside, they could’ve drowned
If you’re going to not live in reality just because you have money, why should there be a law protecting you?
Stupid is as stupid does
The only law that i can think of, is no insurance for homes build that close to the sea ( ocean)
@@everythingisaworkinprogres5729 because it’ll also protect the environment. And because they’re still human beings even though they have money
