Hello everyone, in this video I will be fully disassembling the Speaker, then putting it back together while playing some music, I will also connect it to some external speakers to see if the amp is capable of running a bogger speaker which seems to be the case for every JBL speaker I've reviewed. I have noticed a few things: So while doing this I have noticed a few things:

Advantages
+ The amp was capable of running a 4" and 5" Drivers and produce deep bass.
+ The rubber seals for waterproofing were a great idea providing easy removal and replacement if required.
+ The main drive seem is larger than the flip 5 and they have used all space available to mount it, this is great as its providing low frequency and deeper bass
+ The passive radiators were very flexible and could extend to a maximum stretch without breaking.
Disadvantages:
- The tweeter doesn't seem to provide any noticeable advantage compared to the Flip 5.
- The crossover is set at 4Khz (Not sure if this is right as the speaker performance in that range seem less accurate compared to the older Flip 5)
- Some Wires were permanently fixed to the PCB using some terminals.
- The Bluetooth aerial was hard to remove as the connection was below the PCB so had to peal it off to be able to remove the Main board.

I will say adding that tweeter really brought the speaker to life. I have a flip 5 and its sounds good don't get me wrong but I love the way it sounds with the added tweeter. Now we wait for sony to do the same thing for there XB line of speakers lol.
Sony already has tweeters on there XB speakers like the XB-43 the large sized version
So glad you're talking in the newer videos. I always figured that people who didn't talk in videos like these didn't speak English. The coolest thing I ever saw, was when you hooked up the Charge 5 to your Warfendale tower speaker. I am still amazed by what it could do! Keep on talking. Ha! Ha!

Glad i found this Video😂 i bought a used JBL Flip 6 abd tourns out the tweeter is damaged, at least i hope so, i already ordered a new tweeter on ebay and this Video helped me a lot to understand how to disassemble the musicbox, Thanks👍

Thumbs up just for the decent music there reminded me of my old clubbing day's lol pack the body with wool the way old speakers were for getting more bass out them than speakers sitting in a hollow shell!

At what point is the crossover it's all blur on that screen ,i fried tweeter somehow and now i am looking for suitable replacement but idk where it crossing over 😢

Hold on, the wires with my flip 6 were soldered on to the woofer and tweeter. Why is yours different?

This really makes me wonder what are they gonna add in the next flip 7, a mids driver like the boombox 3, Or are they not gonna make it at all or their gonna keep it the same as flip 6 but with slight improvements

great teardown SHak.. My one piece of wisdom to add to your wonderful sound play around. JBL is the best!! If you plan to open shell case to housing. and reclose dont break crease overbend fracture woven mesh shell as flip is truly distortion free speaker sys. incased in a fractured sherelll. even after epoxy surgery . fully closed locked tight itll reverb almost like a blown speaker. fear not crack case slitlye frees sound to pash trho else wear. stoner out. 2 cents.
Using the board of the flip 6 and then build something like a Boombox2 with it with 2ohm speaker driver

My buddy’s JBL flip 6 is a month old, I need to test the battery (won’t turn on won’t charge) tried resetting, factory reset but requires device power ON. And tried using different charging cords and adapters. I’m at a loss. Everyone at my work has gone threw so many problems with JBL
Really? I have the pulse 3. 6 years old at this point sounds amazing still and hold charge and all the lights work! 😁
Bought one with that problem. For me it was shorted capacitor on board. Ez fix if you know what you are doing. Cheap if you give it to someone who knows what he is doing
@@gamer_5042 yeah we work in the kitchen the things been dropped and got wet a few times, he ended up buying a better JBL that’s louder and it’s lasted over 10 months now and still going.
Mine have serious issue.. Passive ridator rubber part got two cuts without dropping. All are same? i saw on your as well . This material is cheaper than chinies 5 buck speaker trust me. Can i completly take off that rubber?
Does anyone know why the bigger speaker has 3 wires going to it?

I bought un opened packed from my friend and it even work. No Power. You cannot reloaded even. I think it was some monday day production. My friend give it to me present so ofcourse there was no where he waas bought it and how much he pay it. But i know it was over 100euros. I don't know what to do know because it was unopened pack. There is warranty card in side but i think i have to call them today .

Flip6 просто убил 5ку звуком и эргоноикой . Короче Flip5 был прходной. Flip3 и Flip4 думаю выжили как класика отчета качества звука и компановки.
А правда, что TL версия флип 6 плохая? Или разницы в звуке между ней и gg небольшая

My mom has a flip 6 and really sound better that my flip 4 but hers broke it makes like a rackling noise and we don't know what to do
If you can't return it for a refund than just have a good at taking it apart

That wasn't a complete tear down you left all the control buttons in place the power on the Bluetooth the volume buttons why didn't you take those out
