As a retired commercial pilot and ex military pilot, I decided a long time ago never to deliberately alarm my passengers. I still fly my own 2 seat light aeroplane and have taken hundreds of people up at no charge for their first ever experience in a light aircraft and have enough experience over more than 5 decades to know that distressing passengers is a no-no! Not even as a prelude to a marriage proposal. It's worse than scaring your passengers in a car.
