There MR2 micro did killer exceeding the 500w rating but there RX4 fell slightly short. Even tho it's a "budget" subsidiary of Massive Audio if there prices creep up an people continue to buy there products the prices will still will continue creeping up, Wolfram Audio is a prime example they had killer performance at basement prices until budget gem went crazy fanboy over them there prices soared up damn near to Sundowns crazy prices being placed in with the other "premium" obsceanly overpriced and still korean and chinese made products. I have to hand it to Audiopipe for staying affordable even with several very nice products, I would take my AP APCLE 1800 over my Pioneer GM9701 any day. Not only that its $60 cheaper. It obviously has more power overall but imo has alot better SQ in general and at low listening volumes my subs are alot more lively and dynamic sounding they just sounded flat on the Pioneer at those listening levels and plus it has no subsonic filter. At $135 GM9701 is a super killer deal but at $285 its underperforming and waaay overpriced, in my opinion it's a $180 amp tops.
Hello Hifi Vega: I'm not really that much of a fan, of the Pioneer brand amps. But the video is fantastic, as usual! It is pretty straight forward, and very informative, so I gave it a like! I wanna ask your opinion though, if I may... I'm looking to buy a new Puch 1000 watt amp, from around 2005 - 2006, but the price tag is over $400! Recently as you know, there are many new amps making over 1000 watts, costing half of that amount! Do you think it's worth buying it, then? I've always liked Punch amps a lot, specially the older models (USA made)! Thanks in advance.
carlos bolano I think it would be worth it depending on the model. If it was a higher end model that is now more affordable because it’s used and older then you’d be doing well. If you’re goal is the most bang for the buck then you would probably be better served buying a new cheaper amp.
Hey Hifi! I bought the Rockford P10002 amp (new), from 2006, and it should arrive soon. I don't have a car to test it though, when I get it, but I do have a 35 amp Power Supply! Can I test this big amp (160 amp fuse), with this Power Supply (35 amps)? Or will I damage the Power Supply, and or, blow the amp? Thanks for your expert advice!
Hey what do you use for a resistor set-up?also were could i find the resistors at? All of my components are salvaged from old TV's, PC's, and home stereo equipment, ect. I've never seen anything 1, 2 or 4 ohm rated to handle big power.
F Yeah only a loss of 3% efficiency going to 2 ohm from 4 ohm. I have this sitting in my room right now. How do you think two cheaper 15s running 4 ohm parallel (2 ohm effective) will do? Audiopipe TS-CAR15s Since my car does 12.7v your numbers basically mean I should do around 700w 2ohm. That's 350watt for each of my 15s which is right around where I wanted to be. My subs were less than $80 each so I really don't want to give them their rated power of 500w since similar but a lot stronger subs like the Kicker Comp C15 (overpriced as it is) are rated for 500-600w rms. If they rate a better sub the same as my cheaper subs its a good bet I should back off from its power rating. That's fine by me though because I'm only running stock electrical and just wanted to get as much as I could safely from the old Highlander alt.
Hi, i am using this amp to run the 2 JBL stadium 1224, at 1 ohm load and total 1000watt rms. But when i raise the volume above than 20 from my after market stereo, this amp start tripping, whats the issue. Note that i did BIG3 upgrade in my car electricity wiring. What i have to do further? Guide please ???
Mehran Khan I’d put a volt meter on the power and ground and try to make it repeat that while looking at the volt meter on the wires going directly into the amp and see if you’re getting some weird voltage readings. If they are somewhat normal not dropping below 11.5ish then you’ve got another issue
@@HifiVega maybe they went up on the price but still for $160 1200 and probably not 1200 rms il still go qith the taramps for an extra $45 you can get real men amp with 3000+ rms power.. i just cheked and yes it went up now for 200 you could get the 1800 wich is still way better than pioneer. I'm not a fan of pioneer anymore. I used to swear by them. But after several of their products failing in a very short time. I started slowly moving towards Rockford fosgate and literally not one piece of equipment has failed. I have the prime series 1200w amp from Rockford powering 2 p2 8s that are in my doors bandpassed for use as mid bass. They are awesome. Before that the amp powered 3 p3 10s in my trunk and it was amazing. So I would always pay the extra 60 to 80 bucks for the Rockford fosgate prime 1200 over this one.
Naa, if it advertises 1200 watts it should put that out on it's worst day. If Pioneer is going to claim more whats that it has just on principal, I would boycott buying their products, there's too many other choices that will crank out more than what they advertise.

Waaaahhh
Yeah that’s the bad part about Amazon prices can fluctuate
@@HifiVega equipment tests on RUclips being readily available is a double edged sword, in good side you find out what's junk and what's not then the down side stuff that has great reviews price jumps... But I'll take knowing if the equipment is junk or not. Seems Everytime I watch a review and I look it up it's either discontinued or the price has jumped alot, Wolfram amps is a good example. I'm always a day late or a dollar short, that's the story of my life. Seems Audiopipe is one of the last for awsome specs and decent prices, Toro Tech may be the next best kept secret getting out tho. I just bought there 500wrms 2 ohm A/B class "R2" and Skar IX10 for my pickups budget system, curious how it all works. And maby some day get ahold of NVX for a VCW15 recone for my caravan, it's been about impossible trying deal with them just need a simple recone so I can be bumping again!!!..why problems with NVX? covid19??? Beautiful weather Have great weekend bud!
pricing goes up on everything that's a Hi demand. You'll think that the prices will drop on a high demand item. It's all money hungry greed from these manufacturers
@@kelvinperkins5864 I've been wanting to see a dyno of the TORO Tech R6 it looks awesome 3200Wrms at 1 ohm 4k at .5 ohm stable for $399 but if it does it or even exceeds it Toro techs prices will prob start creeping up.
How does this do at 1ohm
HifiVega Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it!
Thanks for your expert advice!
cleanin up that punch amp👍
Haha of course that’s the first thing you’d notice 😂😂 classic Dudley!
Does this amps can run two jbl 1100 watts subwoofers
Easy
How can it consume 153 amperes, and the original has a fuse of 120 amperes only?
Those fuses only blow if it’s a continuous pull at that amperage and they’re not all that precise to begin with
Thank you 😊😊
not a bass knob its a "bass boost" knob 0+18db bass boost at 45hz
If it wasn’t a bass boost knob I’d call it a gain knob 😉
@@HifiVega no i literally mean its just a bass boost at 45 or 50hz from 0 to + 18db look on the manual the old model had it too.
Why so low efficiency?
Is it enough for 2 12” kicker comp with 1000w rms?
Ez
how much ampere is required to run this amp well ?
You could run this on a stock alternator pretty well imo. If you’ve got a 90+amp alt you’re in good shape
I have Two Rockford fosgate P1 “12 inch subs Can someone tell me what amp will work?
Miss Bigg this amp would work great or you could check out some of these
ruclips.net/video/nZ1WXfREpEk/видео.html
Will that run two Memphis Audio 12s?
Easily
This amp is 283 bucks now I wanted to try it but it's to much for how much power it puts out
Yeah, it doesn’t make sense at that price
What's the damping factor on it?
As far as I can tell it’s not listed...
@@HifiVega does it maintain control over your sub fairly well?
can u test the ampere audio 2000.1.
At some point I hope to
@@HifiVega the amp is rated 2000w @ 12.8v. I just have the feeling this might be a 4000w amp @ 14v
ROCKVILLE !!!
Rp 1200.1d makes well over rated for $170. Also audiopipe 1.5k does rated for $150.
Hey what do you use for a resistor set-up?also were could i find the resistors at? All of my components are salvaged from old TV's, PC's, and home stereo equipment, ect. I've never seen anything 1, 2 or 4 ohm rated to handle big power.
They’re called braking resistors you can find them on eBay for around $35 ea
F Yeah only a loss of 3% efficiency going to 2 ohm from 4 ohm.
I have this sitting in my room right now. How do you think two cheaper 15s running 4 ohm parallel (2 ohm effective) will do? Audiopipe TS-CAR15s
Since my car does 12.7v your numbers basically mean I should do around 700w 2ohm.
Like Clockwork64 yeah they should do well like that
I have the 8701 I had it on one Power Acoustik BAMF dual 2ohm sub. It's now pushing 2. I'm thinking of buying the 9701
It’s a worthy upgrade imo
It’s $280 now and sold out everywhere
joe s damn! That sux
So it’s like a Rockford r1200.1 but less efficient
And less expensive 😉
HifiVega is there a way to test how clean the signal is coming out of it? Ie, prove that Brazilian amps are “dirty power”?
@@HifiVega i have checked, voltages are dropping to below 11 volts on high volume.
@@HifiVega what to do in this case, note that i already do BIG3 upgrade in my car
@@HifiVega can i use 2 speakers output of this amp for my both subs separately. It might ease the voltages intake of amp ?? What do you think
Soundqubed have a S1 1250 for $179.
Almost included that one, but at the time they were sold out
Oh ok
For under 200$$ no better amp than a taramps 3000hd i believe its around $175 usd free shipping
I couldn’t find it for less than $205 online seemed like that was the map pricing because every place I looked it was the same price
Love the chanel take care man
Very low efficiency on that amp...Or am i wrong on that?
TheLassenman it’s on the low end for class d, but in my experience cheaper class d amps are less efficient.
@@HifiVega I see and thanks for the repsond
I have this amp powering two Rockford Fosgate p3 10" subs. I don't even use the bass boost knob and it slams the hell out of my car.
How can a sub power another sub?

I'm not a fan of pioneer anymore. I used to swear by them. But after several of their products failing in a very short time. I started slowly moving towards Rockford fosgate and literally not one piece of equipment has failed. I have the prime series 1200w amp from Rockford powering 2 p2 8s that are in my doors bandpassed for use as mid bass. They are awesome. Before that the amp powered 3 p3 10s in my trunk and it was amazing. So I would always pay the extra 60 to 80 bucks for the Rockford fosgate prime 1200 over this one.
Hard to go wrong with RF
Cool amp!!! BTW, have you seen the Makeitlouder.com site? They sell modified amps and was thinking about buying it! It's a boss 4000 amp!!!
Ruben Torres no I haven’t. I’ll have to check that out
@@HifiVega yes!!! Please! Very interesting website!!! I'd like to know what you think!!!
Skar rp 1200.d check it out
I will
Does it do high level inputs?
Weird that it's older now but sitting at $280.
Yeah man these things have gotten stupid with the price
Naa, if it advertises 1200 watts it should put that out on it's worst day. If Pioneer is going to claim more whats that it has just on principal, I would boycott buying their products, there's too many other choices that will crank out more than what they advertise.
That amp is now double the price
Not worth it at anything over $200 imo
For $160 that thing is legit!
For realz!
I've seen better under $200 if you wanna know comment or stay tuned on my channel for a bit. P.s. not bad HiFi Vega pretty good choice!🤙
The efficiency is horrible.
