OMG! What a great video! Thank you for showing us how to break apart the objects in the software! I have a design that I was struggling with and had to resort to breaking it apart directly on my machine. This is SO MUCH easier and I don't have to worry about condensing the layers back together in the right order. So glad I found this video off the Marine vinyl, cork, etc video. Your explanations are right on point - great job of explaining everything that you are doing. Great designs you offer too! Thanks so much for putting this video together for us :)

I have watched this video at least 4 times. I have recently purchased Embrilliance Essentials and now that I am able to follow along with the steps as you are teaching them. I think I finally got the chopping procedure down. My question is if you wanted to chop off a portion such as the long strap on your coffee cup fob and then add a shorter eyelet version on the cup, can you go to another design for a DBLB snap tab and repeat the same procedure deleting all of the design except the tab part. Then import the tab into the design you are working on? Does this make sense?

Melissa, couldn’t you flip the eyelet tab horizontally so it starts on the left, making it match up?

I have Designers Gallery Creator 2. Can't really find any videos on the topic except for a couple. I like how you keep on topic and do not get me confused. Ijust loved your video and understand what to do.
I have spent 2 and a half days just trying to draw my own rectangle on DG. HA!
So now I am wondering, Is it possible to buy other embrilliance software packets and have it work with DG? The program seems to be the same. At least the icons. With so little information on the DG I just do not feel comfortable buying more.

I noticed that a design I am about to use has a small gap in the satin stitch outline that I would like to fill in. I just learned how to remove stitches from a design. Can anyone tell me how to ADD stitches to a blank area in a satin stitch outline?

To make the eyelet tab start on the same side that the cup stops, could you do a horizontal flip of the eyelet tab?

I can't seem to get my "added" objects to go into the main design. I've followed all of the steps but still can't seem to get it to work. I copy "my letters" that I have added. Then delete and then paste and all it does is create a step #2 in my stitching design. HELP!

I'm having a hard time deciding whether to go with Essentials or Enthusiasts, I can't afford bot right now. Does Enthusiasts have all the same capabilities as Essentials?

I purchased Essentials, along with thumbnailer. It has been 4 years, Now I am thinking to buying enthusiasts., I feel the Enthusiasts give you a more in depth in designing.

When I copy and delete and select nothing then paste it comes up with number 2 on my screen. I can’t make it merge into my design where I want it to go. I am working on an iMac. I have tried it over and over while watching your video. It’s not working but I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. I select the letters under 2 and try to slide them into the position. The don’t go there.

I am having the same issue. Mine comes back the same as it did before I did the copy delete paste. Can't figure it out either. Will keep searching for an answer.
