It’s a wonderful orchestral adaptation with all these great live instruments and, of course, Angelina Jordan popped in the middle of the show with her tiny cloak on for two of the songs. This sounds like a perfect, very straight, very fast vibrato that we have never heard from Angelina before that I'm not sure anyone else can do. As you were explaining how EDM works, I could just imagine Angelina experimenting with her voice for TRXD in the studio until she came up with what exactly fit and elevated this song. It's not really at all like this one, except that the music is a bit "more produced" than was typical for her up to that time (very close to her 11th birthday). And her vocal in it is quite unlike anything else she's ever done (something that can be said about a surprising number of her performances, actually). In fact, quite a few people consider it one of her best vocals ever, even to this day. And here's the kicker: it was never intended to be heard by the general public. Angelina sang it as a "demonstration vocal", so the song could be shopped around to other more established artists. (You'll get more of the story [or stories] in the comments after you react to it.) Listening to it with that in mind makes it even more of a mind-bending experience.
