- Humans or dinosaurs, who will prove to be the true ruler of the world? Honestly, though we had a great time in this game and I think they did a great job making the cards feel different, but still magic cards. Enjoy!

These are fun to make too as the commanders are so unique
I really liked the Indominus Rex. So many possibilities. Maybe an engine with the skullpore nexus and greater good style effects would be cool. Then win with a graveyard combo with Necrotic Ooze.

Ian should have triggered off the Sylvan Library draws. He IS drawing multile cards and then choosing to put them back in the libreary, but the fact that the player does draw more than one card in his turn is not negated.
You are correct. We talked it over and we never missed a trigger for it. But because I was putting cards back, I was putting lands back that did not matter and were just getting exiled. I am not sure that was being picked up very well in the recording.

Not 👆ThiS. You did miss triggers, just because you as a group thinks you did dosent mean it is. Alot can change from taking 1 card off the deck .
@@Nemissis4265 Not sure I follow this comment. Yes, alot can change from taking 1 card off the deck. But with Sylvan Library, I draw three which will trigger Malcolm, but I still have to resolve the full effect of Sylvan Library before Malcolm is trigged.
Doesn't Henry Wu's 2nd ability only trigger if you exploit a non-human? For instance, when you had wizards of thay and were exploiting the myriad creatures, even though you exploited a creature with power 3 or greater, the ability wasn't triggered because you didn't exploit a non-human creature. So there should have been no treasures created from exploiting the myriad tokens, right?
The treasures I was getting were from the pitiless plunderer. It can be hard to follow with all the edits.

Carlos is not able to make a treasure by exploiting a human. So that was a misplay. (Just remembered he had a Pitiless plunderer)

Handy counters for Indominus! Where are they from?

I had to rewatch a few times to see where the mana for indominus rex came from, it was the treasure tokens, god dam that was hard to see.
We skip most tapping for mana as we assume the players have the mana ti cast the spell. It’s a hard balance to decide what to keep and cut in content

So the exiled cards STAY EXILED UNDER MALCOMS EFFECT. Meaning if he comes back they can still be casted. They arnt Gone forever lop
I could be wrong about his but I am pretty sure they are 100% exiled forever. A new Malcolm would create a new set of cards he exiles. Cards like Karn, Scion of Urza and Chun-Li both exile cards and put counters on them, so that if they are re-cast they can still use cards they had exiled before.
I wish. Cards have to go out of their way like Mairsil or Livio to get access to past cards.

I'm confussed, Henry Wu effect is whenever a non-Human creature is sacrificed, so It doesn't matter if it is a human if it has another creature type?
It can't have human in the creature area at all unfortuantely.
I believe Blightsteel Colossus doesn't work with Indominus Rex because it has a replacement effect and is never actually discarded. Right?
I think it still gets discarded, but it never goes to the graveyard.
Carlos said in the beginning that he had no combos but wouldn't you consider syr konrad, phyrexian altar, and the thrulls from edrek to be a combo? Going mana positive, and being able to draw to cast creatures to later sac or create thrulls to sac seems like a combo to me. I know its an aristocrat strategy but, I mean...
Carlos was not actively aware of any combos. We have all played with Carlos for a while, none of us believed that there weren't combos in the deck. But assembling the right pieces that quickly was really impressive.
Ya that was my mistake. No intentional combos as I made the deck really fast. I definitely had some in there at the end.
How come Carlos could draw from one Wizards of Thay exploiting the other? Aren't the tokens all Humans?

If you want to use the indorapor deck that the guy uses. Don't! It's awful and you'll have to fix it for it to be good. There are better deck lists out there from indorapor
You can always make better edh lists. this was one we made to try and highlight the new cards in the set.
