Easy Tutorial: Closing up Underarm Gaps on a Knitted Sweater

Lee demonstrates a simple and durable way to sew the gap that forms at the underarm when knitting a sweater and binding off to attach the sleeves. Use mattress stitches. Small holes may appear on either side of the seam-be sure to close those as well. Insert the needle through the yarn to secure the stitches firmly without making the seam visible on the right side. This technique also provides great reinforcement to prevent wear over time.
