    I do need the 5mm hex socket.....
    ..but I'm allergic to non American made tools. ( Doctors say it is probably a result from eating liver and onions as a child)

    Always check the Back Aisle. Our yellow tags were hiding in the back aisle of one of my stores. Metabo, Craftsman and Bosch all on markdowns. Also back there was a variety of display tools at 50% off.

      I am still kicking myself for not picking it up. Honestly, I wouldn't use it enough to justify at this time.

    They need to start carrying more knipex and wiha stuff

    • @edtheoldtechguy
      @edtheoldtechguy  10 месяцев назад +1

      Would definitely be cool, but I have noticed that depending on the area, they can carry a different selection. Perhaps in other areas, they have more Wiha and Knipex. I may need to explore this.

    It seems that warranty are issues with kobalt & craftsman tools, makes me second think about any purchases of those tools.

    • @edtheoldtechguy
      @edtheoldtechguy  10 месяцев назад +1

      Really, can you share more? I have had no issues with Kobalt. Craftsman issues that I have noticed are when returning a legacy made in the USA or Sears craftsman. Other than that no issue.

    Thise $40 but sets look like versa stack t stack compatible. If so, the storage alone without bits is $40

      @@edtheoldtechguy let me know. They have sets in the stacks. It would be interesting to know what they look like after bits or drills are dine

    3:33 Do they sell the cords as accessories?

    Everything is so expensive even on sales. Im not buying anything this year. and regarding Kobalt brand - Their warranty worth nothing. I tried to activate the 5 years warranty (hassle free warranty) on a 40v string trimmer that stopped working after 3 years. and after a lot of come and go , they refused to honor their warranty. Never again Kobalt.

      Wow! Honestly, 1st time, I've heard any issue with Kobalt warranty. I do, for the most part, only buy their hand tools, tho. Man, sorry to hear this.

      @@edtheoldtechguy believe me I tried everything, wasted hours at the store, and house at the phone with Kobalt, each of them send you to the other, after they validated the authenticity of the purchase. I have been multiple time at the stores, 2 of them, nothing was successful.all this happened at the winter of 2019, Since then I never entered again to Lowes stores and Illl never buy Kobalt again..
