This might be the most planned out ahhhtober we’ve ever seen. Great job Doc
Definitely.. I'm loving it ☠️I just need some Gholash in my life☠️ love ya Doc keep up the fantastic job 🦇👻🦇
This might be the greatest video on RUclips
“Featuring the Halloween season staples such as a Jack-O-Lantern, a skull, and Sarah Jessica Parker.”
You can’t just drop that kinda joke while I’m drinking coffee. Now you owe me a Rage Against the Machine t-shirt.
When he said that I literally howled
I laughed so hard. It was so unexpected 😂😂
The way Doc crushes over Tom Atkins, you’d swear he was talking about Ben Tramer.
Ben Tramer!?!
@@Debiru667 from halloween 2. But Tom Atkins > ben tramer all day everyday
@@hgonz14 I was quoting Annie haha
Tom Atkins has that affect on younger women 😂
@@bocowan9106 Apparently!
"You better believe we see his ass. FUCK YEAH!" I almost burst a lung laughing at this. lol
This is the comment I was looking for
My favorite shot in the film is at the end of the trick-or-treating montage, when the camera pans from the trick-or-treaters walking in silhouette against the orange sky of sundown to the city below as the darkness of night descends, deeply symbolic of the evil that is about to descend upon the world. Dean Cundey is a master.
Cinematography at it’s best.
That's my favorite shot too! That particular scene scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. 😄
My favorite shot of the film is the one of the robots peering through the door, getting ready to kill Teddy. One of my favorite things about H3 is, since Michael Myers isn't in it, they put elements of him in the robots, the robots were shot the same way as Michael, moved like Michael and blend as one character at points by giving them the same apparel.
So iconic! I love this movie, I wish they did do an anthology series w Halloween. The 80s/90s anthologies are the best imo 👌
That Sarah Jessica Parker joke made me literally Lol
"This also happens when you take the tag off of a Beanie Baby."
As a child who often took tags off of Beanie Babies, I can confirm that this is true.
17:29 Of course Cochran is the only character in any of the Halloween movies who pronounces "Samhain" correctly.
Whoever transliterated it from Old Celtic should have done a better job with the spelling.
As an Irish person I cringe hearing Sam-hayne...
@@seanegan8150 same
@@judsongaiden9878 Yeah really, if you wanted people to pronounce it correctly, you should've spelled it "sawyeen" or something instead of fucking "ghoti"!
@@judsongaiden9878 For real. Spelled nothing like it’s pronounced.
This movie should have been called Halloween: Spooky Shamrock, a spinoff story
Halloween 4 onwards should be called Halloween: All A Bad Dream, a Metathorical Fanboy's Dream. Hahahahaha
I think there should be a sequel to this film that's just as unprecedented and unexpected as the original called Halloween III part 2.
@@christopherbell4543 In down
@@christopherbell4543 Someone should remake this movie
The funniest thing is this movie is supposedly getting a sequel soon.
This movie needs a remake or a sequel and I don't often say that. This creeped me out when I was young.
I think the same a remake but part of me has a big hesitation. Would they keep the dark tone? Will they explain everything with info dumps. Part of the Original H3 is it's up to you to use your imagination. I see people going on and on about the Stonehenge Rock - yet Cochran mentions it with a throw away comment as it wasn't important "We had a TIME getting it here. You wouldn't believe how we did it". What do people want a full flashback scene to tell them how? There is a thing called imagination. I mean have you seen that Fan H3 sequel - my god how not to make a sequel. It's bad. lol. Also who could beat Dan O'Herlihy's portrayal Cochran?
@@marky437 I think a remake might have to make some plothole changes. lol
Nice pfp dalis my fav artist
Please God no. It'll have none of the 80's charm of the original.
@JOR HELL was woody Allen's girlfriend for a while apparently!
Young me was expecting Michael Myers to show up all the way up until the end credits. I was not the brightest child
Lol
Lol
Geez, sick of Michael Meyers after 2 films. Imagine how they feel now.
I wish this film was part 2 and they kept going with the anthology idea.
Halloween is much too large and full of potential for an endless supply of slasher sequels.
@@rufussamsquanch_6547 People love Micheal and is just obsessed with the whole boogeyman thing but yeah Halloween could've been great with a different story every year in a different part of the country.Or at least have Micheal show up in different parts of the country every Halloween instead of just obsessed with Laurie and her family in Haddonfield.Having Micheal being the boogeyman known all over is more scary than him just being in the same place
@@hennessyapplejuice8331 Michael is pretty cool and a few of the sequels are decent. But I'm just more interested in exploring the holiday of Halloween and its Celtic Pagan roots. Much more can be done with the supernatural side of the holiday....I feel like only so much can be done with a silent serial killer.
Honestly I really wish it ended after HW2. It really got forced and ridiculous after that. Atleast an anthology would’ve kept the interest fresh, even if the movies weren’t the same.
I almost died laughing but I heard the rejected Lamont Stanford line. Classic
Cochran was by far more evil than Myers - his body count in a single movie would have been thousands.
Indeed, Cochran's evil was vicious, arrogant, and twisted. He reminds me of a murderous version of Mr. Burns from "the Simpsons"-cold, ruthless, mean-spirited, and delighting in the suffering of his victims. Honestly, I could see Cochran owning killer dogs like Burns as well.
@@matthewkoch6937
Reminds me of Darth Sidious and the "Grand Plan" AKA Order 66 against the Jedi, wiping out the majority.
@@matthewkoch6937
But Mr. Burns is an excellent comparison too! 😉
He killed more people than, Michael Audrey Myers,Jason Elias Voorhees, krueger,Rambo, Commando.I think he had the highest body count in a horror movie.
Millions
To think if they would have just called the movie “Season of the Witch” we could still be getting yearly or bi yearly anthology films, however if it would be at the cost of no more Michael Myers then I’m glade it worked out the way it did.
Or just don’t include the 3 in the title
There was a 1973 film called Season of The Witch. It's a Halloween film so people need to suck it up lol
Nah Micheal was gonna be brought back one way or another there was too much money to be made and fans wanted him back
Yeah people really need to get over the fact that it has the Halloween name. It honestly would have been better if there were more anthology films.
Halloween 2 would’ve actually been a fitting conclusion for Michael Myers as both a character and as a main storyline in the Halloween series I think. Would he have ended up being as iconic a figure of horror cinema as he is now if he had just been featured in those two films though? I suppose that’s somewhat questionable. Still it would’ve been quite interesting to see how a continuing anthology form of the series might have turned out had Halloween 3 succeeded with fans of the first two films as well.
The casual nature in how you say Sarah Jessica Parker 6:39 made me choke. Brilliant.
To be honest, I think this was one of the best Halloween movies.
Its my favorite. Like..period.
Same here.
@@rufussamsquanch_6547 Mine too and nice to see other fans of it:)
The most unappreciated Halloween movie, period!!!
Preach it brotha'! It is second favorite behind the original.
The best comments I see against this film is it performed badly at the box office - compared to Michael Myers but funny when you point out actually it was Halloween 5 is the worst and oh it has Michael Myers in it...they go deadly silent lol
Halloween 4
Mark Lyne even better yet is that i would argue more people look back on H3 rather fondly now with an understanding of what and why it is what it is while most people (from my perspective) seem frustrated with H5
@Frank Castle Not really the fault of the movie. For all the creators knew they would have continued with these types of movies
I saw the scene where the jack-o-lantern mask turns the kid's head into bugs (or whatever happened) when I was a kid and it freaked me out so much. For years, I thought it was a nightmare I had. I didn't find out until years later that it was actually Halloween III. lol
That’s awesome!
When you started taking about the silver shamrock song, and I could hear it in the background, I got an overwhelming sensation to hear that, I’ve been listening to it for 4 hours now, someone help.
Two moredays to halloween Halloween halloween
funny thing is when I first watched Halloween III on VHS as a weekend rental, which I still deeply miss, I thought the orange liquid coming from the robots was pumpkin blood. similar to the orange juice that gets all over your hands when you carve out the inside of a pumpkin.
I remember being around 15 one halloween night, setting the vcr to record this film at like 3 a.m thinking I was gonna wake up and finally get to see my first Michael Myers film and then being like WTF IS THIS Sh!t??? Having seen it again numerous times in my twenties and thirties I have to say it's a classic. It actually feels more like a typical John Carpenter sci-fi film than the original Halloween film feels like a John Carpenter film... if that makes sense
One of the very best Halloween movies. Robots ,witchcraft, Tom Atkins and a downbeat open ending helped this become the cult classic of the series it is.
If you care tom atkins personally believed that he DID saved everyone at the end, then again the credits were supposed to follow with children's screaming so ...
@@Invidente7 actually there's a short story where he goes home and finds his kids dead . He didn't stop it
@@josephlepkowski2383 the novelization..yeah. Dark shit.
the book is cool cause the kids didn't make it 👍
I’ve got the book, haven’t read it yet. Sounds like it’s worth reading!!
Man that would've been cool to see them continue with the anthology idea and make a new take that takes place on Halloween night every year but....no we just got hecka Michael Myers movies
Would still love to see the anthology idea happen if they actually finally kill off Myers with Halloween Ends (seriously doubt that will happen if money is to be made but I still want to see a Carpenter led anthology series actually happen).
Don’t worry, Conal Cochran lived and became the number 1 guy at OCP.
16 hours til a new review new review! Silver Shamrock. And don't forget about the big giveaway at 9
Hurry home kids!
Hurry Kids it's almost time don't forget to wear your masks
Tommy Lee Wallace with the voiceover!!
My mom's favorite in the series, she loves magic and this was a magical film in style and story; great review Doc :)
My favorite too.
I think it's a FANTASTIC sequel!!
Halloween III is my favorite horror film. Love the review Doc! You really went in depth. It's a shame this film is hated for "not having Michael Myers" when in reality it's a fantastic horror film. I wish we got the anthology series over the repetitive & bland Myers sequels.
Can't blame Atkins for moving in on Stacy Nilkin . Have you seen her in 'Up The Academy'? Ooooh wheee! 😍😛
"They're coming," gasp.
I'll have what they're having.
Lol.
Halloween III is still awesome! I'm glad it final got the attention it deserved! Tom Atkins really steals the movie! He's such a amazing actor! In fact, he's such a pro, while filming, the poor man was going through having walking pneumonia, but on set he never ONCE complained about it and acted like nothing was wrong. I don't think people praise Tom Atkins enough, the man is awesome no matter what film he is in! Great video btw, Doc!
Imagine how cool it would have been if Donnel Cochrane was the Man In Black in Halloween 6
Silver shamrock is the company that made the Michael Myers clown and William Shatner mask that accidentally turned Michael evil. After the backlash they only made 3 masks to kill the kids wearing them.
Decent fan theory but at the same time it really doesn't make sense because these silver shamrock masks are crafted to kill kids while watching a tv broadcast for these masks that are crafted with a piece of Stonehenge that is eventually deemed erotically supernatural and i don't see theoretically how that type of mask can turn a boy evil especially when worms, snakes and bugs were crawling out of there masks when activated. Also i get that Doctor Loomis says hes not human hes pure evil and that one night he decided to kill his sister for no apparent reason (which is scary)but its still stupid. The intention of Tommy Lee Wallace was to create something new... A fresh anthology story Plus hes not even tied into the Halloween 3 universe. Just a fictional character. ....... Like the director Tommy Lee Wallace quoted.
Maga man I agree with you. That is a better reason for Michael myers evil and being virtually indestructible than the thorn cult thing or Rob Zombies abused child angle.
Sorry but that is a bad theory. Nice try though.
15:18 he could even sell robot police officers, “robo-cops” if you will!
I havent watched your videos in awile doc going to have to go back and rewatch all of them but i'm happy to see you be lookin better than you used to. keep up the good work!
“You better believe we see his ass”
“Fuck yeah”
Dead.
" A Lamont Sanford reject"... Hilarious!! 😁 Love Halloween 3!! Always have, always will.
Always!
“Rejected Lamont Sanford” Damn Doc.
I wonder if the new 3rd Halloween movie is going to have Connel Cochran as another form of evil incarnate. I would love that.
Halloween was the only holiday my family got along, and it was a month long horror fest.
The Halloween series was my Dad's favorite, and I still remember when he put Season of the Witch on. I was 7 and did not understand why there was no Michael Myers. I just remember being upset and bored. I didn't watch the movie again until I was in my 20s!
I like the movie alright now, but child me was not ready for the pacing in this movie.
funny that I found H3 pacing quite quick even now as an adult. Odd that many people have said this, but Halloween 1 is slow moving as well.
A misunderstood and criminally under rated film. Due to an ill advised title choice. Just remove Halloween 3 from the title. Then show the film to a first time audience. Titled "Season of the Witch." You have an instant classic!
John Carpenters Halloween The Season Of The Witch 31|10|1963 - 31|10|2022
We love ya, Wolfie! Thanks for the great content.
That silver shamrock theme is my jam.
“Tom Atkins, man of action!” - Tom Atkins. Yes, he really did say that. It was during an interview on In the Search of Darkness when he brings up the action figure of Ray Cameron from Night of the Creeps
Love that movie
I must be new to this format but i just binged your 2020 Ahhctober, and I must say the step up in quality is most apparent. Not that your old videos werent good. Good stuff Doc

loving this ahhhctober, feels so planned out and well done
Didn't care much for it when it first came out... HOWEVER, as the years have gone on, I have grown to LOVE IT! It's now one of my favorites.
If the Halloween movies did become a anthology series, what kind of idea's would there have been?
Werewolves? Ghosts? Demons?
A cult of Sarah Jessica Parkers...uhh that sounds super scary.
Thank you for your service
Bro, had me screaming a few times. Great stuff!
Aight that beanie baby tag joke got me. Well done XD
One of the few films that truly captures the feelings of Halloween.
This is the reason we love Doc!! LETS GOOOO
Hell yeah been waiting forever for these reviews
🤎Already watched this 5 times on Patreon🤎
One of your best reviews, in my opinion. Had a great laugh during all the best gags. I actually first saw H3 one night on some late night movie marathon as a kid. I missed the title barely, just as the orange lights were lining up and lighting the screen. It had me pulled in by the first few minutes, and I loved it right away. When I was older and got on a horror forum, I was so bummed to hear most folks hated it.
Doc is not messing around this year. Excellent stuff so far!
I'm watching the movie right now can't wait for the review then I'll watch it again lol!!🤘👻🎃💀🗡🦇🕸⚰
Doc has been on point with these reviews. You can tell he truly loves the Halloween franchise. Amazing job doc.
I love this movie. It subverted expectations masterfully and served up an unusual plot.

You know at one point Dr.Wolfula had Tom Atkins as his phone background lol 😂
I liked your original snarky review already, but here you are adding interesting info and finding new things to poke fun at, yes you’ve evolved over the years and it shows. 👍🏼
I'd love to see a spiritual successor to this where the ghost of Connel Cochran goes on adventures and helps kids with their homework by killing them with bugs and snakes.
AHHHH I fucking love you Dr Wolfula you honestly helped me through middle school man❤️
Can’t wait!
Best review you’ve ever done
Ooh boy! It's that time of the year again!!!! ... and why the fuck did youtube not notify me the previous two videos?! I activated that damn bell. Wtf do you want from me youtube!?
I've never seen this. Sounds like a precursor to John Carpenters "They Live" a few years later. Only terrible because you're expecting Micheal Myers.
Mike got boring after 2,then began starring in comedy movies to entertain himself. So I married an axe murderer. If only Jamie Lloyd became the killer. After 3 they felt like missed opportunities.
@Aaron Coats And the Cult of Thorn Arc is a masterpiece in story telling hahaha It's more far fetched than H3 hahahaha
@Aaron Coats lol
@@thedeadguy nah people don't want a female boogeyman
@@hennessyapplejuice8331 That's weird to say though. I think it would bring a fresh perspective into this repetitive franchise. Can't always have the same movie. Sometimes it's better to ignore the fans, and reinvent. Why was it even an ending, if they're never going to actually do it. to waste this amazing opportunity is a real shame .
The ending is just amazing.
I met Tom last year at Atrox Factory. Such a swell guy!! He was so polite, and he really knows how to act too! Love this movie and your stuff, Doc!
If you read "Fangoria" magazine, you would have known what the film was about, and Michael Meyers wouldn't be in it. I knew the story involved Halloween masks, and wore my Don Post skull mask to see it at the Pacific theater in Hollywood Ca. the day it opened. I've been a fan since.

The analogies were next level this time around. 🔥🔥🔥
In late 80's/early 90's, I was amongst those who were super put off by the fact that "Halloween 3" wasn't connected in any way to the first 2 films... and that it didn't include Michael Myers and Dr. Loomis.
But around the time I turned 25, I finally saw the movie on dvd. I had previously only seen it on tv... and man, what a difference the lack of tv censorship makes!
Ever since, it has become one of my favorite horror movies, and I include it in every October watch list I put together!
Love your show!! Great movie too see you in 21 ahhhtober
