Deliberate Practice in Emotion-Focused Therapy (APA Books)

This webinar provides a live demonstration of Deliberate Practice exercises from the new APA book "Deliberate Practice for Emotion-Focused Therapy". The exercises help students, trainees, and clinicians practice fundamental skills in emotion-focused therapy (EFT) so that they can be prepared for common clinical encounters.
In the webinar, lead author Rhonda Goldman, an expert in EFT, will provide examples of supervision for specific EFT techniques and interpersonal skills, such as responding empathically to clients, building therapist self-awareness, and repairing relationship ruptures.

About Deliberate Practice:
Deliberate practice is a rigorous training method that involves rehearsal and stimulation-based learning therapy techniques. Sample client statements and therapist responses, organized by difficulty from beginner to advanced levels, highlight common therapeutic interactions.
