It's great to see an older woman doing this. Most of the videos I've seen are younger people. I'm 63 and dream about doing this, but my wife would never have it. So, I live vicariously through these people and enjoy seeing what people are doing. Again, it's great to see an older person such as myself, enjoying life and all it has to offer.
Great compact solution for a camper van. I appreciate that her dog was an important criteria in what she purchased and how she built it out. A dog is the best reason for just about everything. Wish her and pooch all the best on the adventures that await them, be safe and well!
Such a nice video. She speaks so clearly that it was easy to follow her story. If she can easily travel with her big dog, then I should be ok with Captain. He is old, blind in one eye, is having trouble with steps and is 90 lbs. But he loves to travel so I've been shopping for a dog ramp. I'm from Central Oklahoma and I'm trying to build out my 6x12 cargo trailer. A lot of good advice in this visit and I really appreciate it. Hope to see you on the road.
I wish you luck with your cargo build and set up. I hope you and Captain can enjoy cool trips and travelings together very soon! Take care and have fun
First, I want to commend you for taking your dog. I'm all for it!!! Now your just a joy to watch. The job you did on everything you personally need. I love you didn't go in debt. for a fancy - over priced, large van but its very functional and I'm all for that, also. You, the doggie then the van. Its all just perfect. Congratulations, to you both. Enjoy your journey's and ALL the memories your making! Travel and Live safely but never let fear stop your fun. Not to scare you just one of my sayings. Lol, enjoyment to a lovely duo!
Great lady, lovely set-up. I loved her honesty about what she was afraid of (& I share the same fears)- lighting a fire inside the van, whether she'd even like being out on the road, spending a lot of money on a fancier rig, etc....Glad it's working out so well for her and her sweet doggie!
Great idea to have a table across the doors! I agree, cooking standing up outside is the way to go. I also like the bench across the front - that would be a perfect place for a toilet.
I love your spirit to just do it!! And the very creative solutions as in the pot for a sink and the table across the back doors! Wishing you many great adventures.
I really like you van build , unique & smartly built . Your dog is great company. Live your life and smile 😀 a lot, laugh often enjoy your life and travel. Stay positive, dream always 😊😅❤
I’m in my Oklahoma too. I am going to do some road trips in my Honda Pilot before I buy an Ambulance. Great build-make sure those weights don’t come down and land on you!
❤Love your Enthusiasm Personality and I’m a Full Size Van traveler ❤the Fact your Conversion has a Miniature Vibe Version of a Full Size Plus your Companion💕🐶
Sometimes we have keep these secret wishes to ourselves until we achieve our desires, Too many naysayers in our lives especially as we get older. I’m excited for you and your adventures. 😍
*Hi Cynthia! Hello from Cornwall UK and the back of my own Transit Connect! I'm just at the very start of my conversion though and I had to say thank you for inspiring me with some of your great ideas. The very best one (for me) being the bench / table top between the rear doors! I also plan on getting an awning for some added space, as I'm 6' 2'' and have a Labrador called Ted to consider. Anyway, thanks again and wishing you lots of happy adventures in the coming months! Mark* 😎
I have a converted Ford Transit Connect, i Love it! Get my best sleep in it . I’ve been interviewed on RUclips but it keeps evolving as I assess my needs. So much fun
Hello👋 You have a very cute home on wheels. Its really pretty and seems quite cozy. I will keep my eyes open for your rig so be safe, stay well and God bless
Great video but of course some of us want to know how she keeps clean and of course her bathroom situation in such a small van….and the title said that it was a high top transit van; well how much of a difference is that kind of high top than a regular van? however, let me just say I love this lady‘s attitude about the things that she had in there, what she was using, and how she was using it,…… and the practicality of all of it. For someone just starting Out she really has her head screwed on tight. Congratulations.
this is so great! So many of the transit connect builds in the US have that galley-way set up, which seems so tight und uncomfy to me and is really heard to imagine working if you travel with a dog. I follow Lady Bugout (who als has a van tour here) because she has a small van build that is kind of set up like this one and just puts all the homy-ness and space in the middle. I love how minimalist and virtually "no build" Lady Bugout is and how lovely and wonderfully simple and comfy this build is. Such a help to see what works with a dog in a tiny builds and the challenges it brings. I hope this lady makes a channel to for youtube because she is so lovely and it's so relaxing and nice to hear her talk about her van, her choices and her dogs! So Cynthia, if you are reading this: please make a channel so I can follow your adventures 💕
Cynthia, your build is really nice. Love your extra platform at the foot of your bed for your dog! Love the versatility in the back with the bench and the table, but also the simplicity. I've tried doing a build in my Town and Country van....I'm on iteration #4 at the moment. I thought the last one was good, but it felt too cramped. I, too, hope to get a slightly bigger van for intermittent travel. Hope to see you on the road!
Hi there. I'm also from Okla. Central. I really enjoyed your story and your tour. I have a lg. Old dog named Captain. We are trying to get my cargo trailer ready for traveling. Might see you on the road.
Your Transit connect is amazing. I've been looking at all the different videos and I like the large suv Grand Caravan but I think I like this Transit Van better. Your setup is awesome and you look so comfortable in it.
Seen a lot of these and Good build! Good for you to keep going. However, I must say I LOVE the weights idea for the awning. Very clever! (Take note - Anybody with an awning :) )
Smart decision to travel in a van with your dog. I did same with 2 dogs.Unfortunately they are gone now, and I am considering this summer to convert my truck and go out again, sans dogs, which will be a different experience. I too dream about a small high top van, but 2023 is not the time to buy, and will want to test the lifestyle again before I make a bigger commitment. Kudos to you and hope to see you down the road sometime.
I have been looking at those vans online but they all have around 150,000 miles. One salesman said they are much higher risk for rollover accidents because of the height. But I like being able to stand up in them. Hopefully I'll find one soon. I love your set up.
Thanks for the tour! Thats the vehicle is what I have my eye on and I have to have my dog with me too. I have a bad back and am looking at every thing you do to see if I can do it.
I love your setup, and if you don't mind me saying you could use the two back doors to make a privacy room so you can use the toilet/change room or take a shower. It is very easy. You just hang curtains on the back between the two doors. It is just an idea 💡 😊😊
Good for you Cynthia :) Your Van looks perfect and absolutely adorable! I want to do the same but I am not ready just yet. Thanks for being a real inspiration ...YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!
Wonderful video about van life. I would have liked to hear what her family and friends think and feel about her adventure at this point in her travels.
I've been thinking about doing this (& trying to get things together for doing this). My 2 real issues are: first, getting the money together for the van and insurance & secondly, converting it into a campervan that suits me. Oh! I'll also need to get a fur baby. I HAVE to have a dog to go with me. My last dog had to be put down due to cancer and I have come to realize that I really do need a dog.
So comfy & practical. Very "Home Sweet Home" on wheels. Wished you showed us ur travel buddy. He's same size as Tofu. They're big & heavy esp when they share a bed with you lol
Hi Cynthia just found your tour, I'm full of admiration about your van life. Having a 60lb companion full of hair must be a trial too at times. I'm newly subscribed, grateful for the inspiration, it's lovely to see so many interesting builds on the channel! ❤🙂
I love your map such a wonderful video too… beautiful beautiful van build!!! Love your dog too… I have a 70 lb standard poodle and we travel and camp in our Sienna van! So happy for you!!!
I'm about to embark on a van adventure. I'm going to look at getting a 2003 Eurovan without a build out, but with great bed from the fold down seats. I'll think about some built-ins after the maiden voyage. I also have a dog and like Cynthia want to travel with her in my retirement, not just hang around house all the time. There's a big beautiful country out there.
Ive been weighing pro's and cons of van life before i sell my home but i don't know if i could weather storms.. creeps..rodents trying to find places to sleep... this one is very nice 😊
Hey Cynthia! Remember me? Bex from Fredrock! It was soooo great to see you and hear you again. Your van looks great, and I am happy to know you are still enjoying it. I miss that sweet puppy of yours - although I have forgotten his name...it's on the tip of my tongue! My FTC got rear-ended when I was down in St. Augustine recently. I am awaiting repairs - takes a loooong time these days! I hope we can get together at another event some time soon.
Great job!! I would have a couple animals with me so I would have to Gina little bigger but I absolutely love what you’ve done. Safe and blessed travels to you,
I literally would love to be your friend! 😊 unfortunately I am in NJ and not able to start my adventure YET! But I will and so much of what you did and said really resonated with me as to when the time comes for my build! Thank you for sharing your rig. Oh and I’m curious about what reaction you got from your adult children 🤔. Happy Trails to you and your fur baby, stay safe! 🥰🥰🥰
The thumbnail and the video didn't match 🤣🤣
For such a small van it looks comfy to live in.
It's cute, but I expected a shuttle bus.
That’s our fault. Our scheduler was in bed sick today and accidentally scheduled the video incorrectly.
Gosh, and I thought I was loosing my mind
This is not a high roof.

She's so sweet. Im happy her & her pup are out there. Living their van life dreams
Cynthia has absolutely the greatest personality. Best of travels

Love the puzzle map. Your dog is adorable. I’m sure he’s enjoying seeing the world. Animals are so much smarter than we realize.
Such a nice video. She speaks so clearly that it was easy to follow her story. If she can easily travel with her big dog, then I should be ok with Captain. I love her table at the back!!!
Thank you for the awning weights Ida. I have a large dog also. Fantastic idea I will be doing now.
I liked the back splash and how colorful it is.
I wanted to buy the same tile for my house! Love it!
Great idea to have a table across the doors! I agree, cooking standing up outside is the way to go. I also like the bench across the front - that would be a perfect place for a toilet.
The weights for the awning is something I will try! Thank you!
I love your spirit to just do it!! And the very creative solutions as in the pot for a sink and the table across the back doors! Wishing you many great adventures.
Good luck on all your adventures with your sweet dog!

and Cynthia, I am going to need to see how you built that little space behind the passenger seat work to extend into a doggy bed! 😀
Love your build and love @ladybugout built too

Love seeing an Oklahoman for a change. Best wishes from Bartlesville ❤

Best of luck with your cargo trailer! Definitely hope to see you down the road! 😊
Love your pup and your so tidy van. Perfect.
Glad to see another FTC. I'm on my 3rd - 2010, 2013, 2020. Love the little ones!
Just wondering, did your vans break down that’s why you’ve bought new ones. I’m considering getting one and that’s why I ask.
Very smart van and not cluttered, well done....
Your Transit connect is amazing. I've been looking at all the different videos and I like the large suv Grand Caravan but I think I like this Transit Van better. Your setup is awesome and you look so comfortable in it.

Went to Italy last year and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE you're tile!
Great setup Cynthia. Hope to see you on the road !
Loved the video! Question tho…The thumb nail shows someone else and titled shuttle bus? I’m confused 😅
Gorgeous little rig! Enjoy your travels ❤

Using the 3-lb weights to hold down your canopy is brilliant!
Great little van. It’s the perfect size. Love her outdoor table - ingenious.
Thanks for the tour! Thats the vehicle is what I have my eye on and I have to have my dog with me too. I have a bad back and am looking at every thing you do to see if I can do it.
Thank you, so much! For your humor, as well.:)
I love your set up and all the floor space for your dog to move around.
Love your van and the idea of hand weights to hold down the awning!🎉

I like your Van.🌹
Looks great. All the best to you.
I love the pooch, copper accents & the 3lb weights on the tent stakes is very clever
Good for you Cynthia :) Your Van looks perfect and absolutely adorable! I want to do the same but I am not ready just yet. Thanks for being a real inspiration ...YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!
You are a really beautiful woman. Love your van and doggy too. Happy travels. 😊
Awesome set up. You have made it look and feel homy and comfortable.
Reminds me a lot of Lady Bugout, which I love. Very nice.

Super Nice!! It resembles ladybug out van.
A great video. You've given me inspiration!!
So glad you found some inspiration! Cynthia has created an incredible home on wheels. 😊
Lovely lady! Love the dog too, same priorities as me, I always wanted to drive around the USA so I am envious, your van is great!
Does Cynthia have a RUclips channel? I couldn't find her. Great video.
