I am a big Jeff Metcalf , and Mindi Abair fan…but when I saw that Tim Pierce was one of the studio guitarist for Mindi’s new album that convinced me I was in the best neighborhood of my music interests. Excellent interview Jeff.

I remember walking into an FYE, putting on the headphones, hearing Rain for the first time and immediately buying the CD. Been a fan ever since.

San Sebastián features an awsome Jazz festival, the city is small but really beautiful bathed by the sea and Rioja and Rivera de Duero are two of the best wine regions in the world... The match can only be improved by the absolutely awesome food. Welcome everybody!

Good interview, interesting, you ask the right questions.... but the way Mindi talked it up, I thought her Theo Wanne mouthpiece was supposed to be "affordable" - £449 (GBP) is way, way, way, out of my reach. I'm so glad that I got my Geoff Lawton mouthpieces back in the 70s !!

Hi Jay, I had a question. I have been playing saxophone for 10 years now and am still renting. I have been looking to buy a professional saxophone for quite some time, but there has been limited availability. What would you suggest I do/buy.
Wait for the sax you want to be available. There isn’t a huge rush.
What make/model of sax are you renting and what's your budget to buy a 'pro' horn?
Just one simple question, would Mindi Abair consider putting this music on an LP for us all schoolers?
I'd love to take this to vinyl. The first song is "Fine Wine and Vinyl." I released my album Mindi Abair and The Boneshakers The EastWest Sessions on vinyl. And we did a Christmas single on red vinyl. It's so fun. Unfortunately it doesn't pay for itself to do the release on vinyl, even though I love it so much! So sorry. Check it out on CD ... that's old school these days!
Hi , I look for soprano sax, but don't want to spent a lot of money. It will be sax for amateteur playing and some little performaces. Budget about max 3000-4000zł (max 900$) and what can you recommend? What producer? the most popular which I founf was: Roy benson, Trevor James, Stagg, Conn, John Packer, Chateau Cheverny, Thomann? Any of this is worth spending money on it?
