    I'm so very glad and grateful to see there are still Americans who remember to entreat with God. May His blessings be with you on all your hunts. Not to kill big animals (a bonus when it comes) but to be safe and find the joy in His creation. As an Inupiat, I am always grateful to see people come to Alaska and praise Him.

      @@LearnToCompound 1st: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven (hunting falls within the realm "every thing" I believe) 2nd: We don't hunt on His Holy Mountain, which most often in the OT was a stand in for the Temple, the Holiest of places. 3rd: Isaiah was telling us about life in the Millennium, when Christ returns in Glory. Until then life goes on, and we wisely use the bounty He gives us, which includes the animals.

      @@LearnToCompound I believe that this was specifically mentioned; that we were given stewardship of land and of animals, and that everything on this Earth was for man to use wisely, but I'm just a heathen who was raised Catholic. I'm still going to be hunting, cry elsewhere.

    Great video. I’m headed up at the end of august for my griz! One observation, next time you’re crossing rivers together, lock elbows rather than holding hands. One guy stumbles, the others is solid and vice versa. Two thumbs up!

    Congratulations on your bear - you had a fine hunt! Nothing compares to bear hunting in Alaska. I was there in 2012 (with Tony Lee) and got a fine 9 foot'er - in the last hour of the last day of a 10 day hunt - never give up!

    What is with these bloody incompetent hunters. Three shots at 150 yards for one of the biggest land mammals in the world? Jesus. Shouldn't there be a minimum standard for hunters?

      The first shot was good, as were the others. Even with adequate calibers, bears often don't go down instantly; backup shots are not just for safety, they're a moral imperative for ethical hunters. We are here to harvest animals with as little suffering as possible.

      We just braved it. It did take a while to fully dry everything but in Alaska you just push through.

    Great shot placement by the hunter on a trophy class brown bear. Props to the guide for taking control of the situation before & after shot was taken. I was like "oh s%^t" when I seen the other bears pop up. Hope to one day hunt for brown bear myself.

    Great videos.........but the music sucks, big time. Music is not needed nor does that music enhance a hunting video. Get some help editing. I watch on mute with subtitles. The music needs to be improved if you have to use it.

      I am headed to Kodiak in a couple days but not for a Bear. Going to be chasing waterfowl for the next series of The Journey Within. Going after the North American Waterfowl Slam. I will likely go there again for sure.

      First we skinned the bear, then we quartered it, put it into packs with a couple more guides and then we carried it back to our camp.

      Shot placement will be almost impossible when a brown Grizzly runs at you. You will be shaking like a leaf and have barely time to get off 1 or 2 shots. For self défense I suggest a pump action shotgun or if reliable a semi auto shotgun. For hunting they are using the proper caliber here in this video. 9mm is not a good choice for either. A charging bear will probably not feel much and get to you and ....... maul you.

      And you know they didn't bring the meat out because? Incidentally, there is hunting for bear in Alaska when you are not required to bring the flesh of the animal out if it has been feeding on salmon, because the meat is literally inedible. Before you jump to conclusions, perhaps you should ask some questions.
