ALIENS, the sequel, is excellent, but I would urge you to watch the extended Director's Cut, which adds depth to the characters and increases the stakes.
@@AlexxaReacts But the opening credits DID say Sigourney Weaver after Tom Skerrit. So you accidentally missed it. Check out the opening creepy credits again and you will see the name Sigourney Weaver ma'am. 😄😄😄
@AlexxaReacts Imaging seeing this film in a darkened theatre without knowing the outcome until the director reveals it. Hope you see Aliens the sequel very soon.
OMG I also decided to watch the whole alien franchise for the first time, which I had been planning to do for a very very long time. N just a few weeks ago I watched the first movie. So decided to watch the second one on Halloween!😊
You caught the one thing that always bugged me since I saw the movie in 1979. Who's idea was it to use 'fire' against the Alien? Ash. And if he wants to keep it alive would he really suggest a weapon that would be effective? No. Also Ash explains to Ripley that the creature has a prolonged resistance to 'adverse environmental conditions' Wouldn't those include extream heat and cold?😮
"Alien": A naive French Canadian is boarding the "Nostromo." What will this "seen mostly French movies" viewer make of this "old, long, slow-moving, character-centered, no-DFX" movie? 4:04 The Company is sending the equivalent of a freighter crew to "do science" on an unexplored planet! 5:21 Saying that back in 1979 would have drawn blank/quizzical stares. 5:38 Recent viewers have described the derelict alien ship as either "the Devil's Horseshoe" or "a Forbidden Doughnut.";) 7:32 The Space Jockey, a mystery for years. 10:00 Second Officer Kane = Zapp Brannigan. 11:01 The first jump scare. 11:30 This conversation has become iconic due to recent events. 12:33 The Face Hugger, grossing out the audience for years. 13:36 Acid Blood! 16:57 A Props Dept. work of ART, made of sea animals. 18:22 Kane's last meal. 19:07 The Xenomorph, scaring audiences for over 40 years. 20:36 Along came Jones. 21:53 Say hello to Bolaji Badejo. 23:56 How's that for a "syntax error"? 25:41 You're in command, Ripley. 27:20 In 1979, this was my "WTF? Ash ISN'T Human!?" moment. 29:07 Most didn't see this coming. 31:09 I've read that Lambert is standing in for us, the audience. 32:06 That is a Stinger. 33:55 Escape route cut off, stop Destruct to gain time for Plan B. 39:19 Tonight's entree on the shuttle "Narcissus" is Steamed Xenomorph in Shell. 40:09 Correction, Char-Broiled Xenomorph. This and the next movie made newcomer Sigourney Weaver a major movie star. On to "Aliens" (1986)!
Great reaction, Alexxa. But, if you thought that was terrifying, wait till you watch the sequel, 'Aliens' -- but make sure you check out the extended Director's cut, not the cinema release version, it makes more sense. Can't say any more without giving a few spoilers away.
Salut Alexxa, ''Aliens'' (2nd) is know as one of the best movie sequel. Must see. Sorry but you made me laugh in the jump scares, thats what reactions are made for. By the way It was Sigourney Weaver. Thank you, a la prochaine ❤
Hahaha I am! But I was never a movie person. I'm also French Canadian. Growing up, I watched mostly French stuff. I know her from Finding Nemo/Dory more than anything. The reason I wasn't sure is because I didn't see/notice her name in the credits at the beginning. 😊
Looking forward to you watching the 2nd movie, because it's basically one of the most uniquely good follow-up movies ever!
“That lady reminds me of Sigorne Weaver for some reason”.
Everyone: 🤨
Hahaha - it's because I didn't see her name in the beginning credits.
ALIENS, the sequel, is excellent, but I would urge you to watch the extended Director's Cut, which adds depth to the characters and increases the stakes.
This is the film that put Sigourney Weaver on the map.
Yes, she was primarily a stage actress before this.
The first and the best Alien movie by far
"The lady reminds me of Sigourney Weaver for some reason." Odd resemblance, isn't it? :)
He he he

Oh I noticed it in editing 🤣 but on first watch, I was more focused on the screen that I missed it 😂

I hope the sequel gets picked in the next polls! I can't wait to see how it continues...👽
"But fire, no one has actually used it against the thing..."
Different movie lady.

Can't wait!
Even though the Nostromo is big the refinery section is never used or interiors seen.
Why have it there at all?

Merci! 💛
There are only 2 Alien films. Alien, and Aliens. Full stop.
Also there are only 2 Terminator movies
1 and 2.
Both classic great sequels were directed by James Cameron.👍👍👍
There is only one Alien film. This one. Full stop.
