This is one of the best reviews I've seen of a ship ... thank you for making mention of the additional costs in certain areas. These things are important to the average person when planning a trip. We've been sailing on Carnival for many years and have seen these and other changes that many people are upset about. I actually like the idea of the up-charge items, it that's what you want, then it is still affordable in the scheme of things. If you aren't inclined to take advantage of these places/offerings .. then hard pass and you will still have a wonderful vacation while enjoying the various "included" items. ... Really did enjoy this thorough review.
Just returned from my cruise on the horizon. Went to Ocho Rios, Cozumel and Grand Cayman. My girlfriend and I loved every second of it. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Be prepared to gain some weight, plenty to eat!

I just got off the Horizon yesterday from an 8 day cruise. The trip, ship, staff....amazing!!! You all will have a great time. My only issue.....there are 2 service areas for food in the marketplace buffet. 8 hot food stations in each of the 2 areas - They each served the SAME EXACT items. No variety. The food was decent but not a lot of choices. It forced you to go to other places to eat...some you had to pay extra.

We sailed Vista last year and Horizon this year. The small changes in the Lido buffet layout made a world of difference on Horizon. No big lines! Honestly, it never felt "over-crowded". There is always someplace to go where you can read...work (yikes!)...play cards etc.
Kathy Erickson I sailed Vista in 2017. The ship is beautiful. However, I hated the layout of the buffet on the Lido deck. For a ship it’s size or larger the setup should have been Multiple hot and cold bars spaced out like the older ships to accommodate it’s huge number of guests. Instead there was one buffet line and it was always long. If a particular item like scrambled eggs was out and would be up in a matter of minutes and you didn’t want to hold up the line, you would have to get in this extremely long line. Also, every time I went to the Lido buffet for dinner, the choices was very limited to maybe 2 meat choices, salad bar, rolls, a choice of 3 hot vegetables, and desert bar. The dinning setup on the Lido deck was not well planned out to accommodate its guests.
I’m going during March break in 2021. Hopefully they’ll still do the sailing due to Covid-19. Even if we have to wear masks, I would still go! I can’t wait!!!
We are doing an ATV Adventure and my son and I are going to come back from Dominican after only a couple hours and Tackle all the long line Adventures on the ship.
Sailed Nov of 18, very nice overall. Agree with other comments that the lido buffet served too much of the same items - should be an easy fix. BBQ was a great addition. Definitely lots to do & see.
We just cruised her a week ago for Christmas! It was amazing and you did an amazing tour! We will definitely do it again! We usually cruise Royal Caribbean but this ship was so tech savvy and beautiful!

Nice video, this makes me so sad because I was on an eight day cruise last december and January and I miss eating 20 slices of the best pizza in the world and playing ping pong and ice cream.
This was my spring break for my senior year of high school. I had a blast with everything. The dancing on lido, the comedy at 10:00pm, and the night clubs at 11:00pm. Your voice sounds familiar. Were you the guy on the mic getting everyone to dance on lido?
