Dude, I just found your channel. I love your minimalist, bare-"bones" approach--using XPS for nearly everything, a chef's knife for most cutting, apparently just eye-balling most measurements, etc. Excellent commentary, and I burst out laughing at the part where you mocked the weak. You clearly captured the Spirit of the Orc. Well done.
Glad you enjoy it, hearing this feels good. My stupid internal voice of self criticism is thinking; "the video is too long everyone will be bored". But I guess that voice is wrong.
Chicken bones could work. Dry them, bake them, be sure to remove all the meat and tendons and gristle bits and they should work just as well as "wild sourced" bones. I'm not planning any trips to the Finnish archipelago islands any time soon, ya know!
Before you use biological material put it into the oven for 250 degrees celsius for 30 minutes to turn it abiotic. For these small bones your heat treatment should have been enough but the above has been given as a guideline by my cousin who is a biologist.
Yeah that should work, and as long as terrain is kept in dry air, it should be fine. I also studied cellular biology, but then I started doing youtube :)
I’ve been binge watching your channel and these pieces are some of my favourites, the bones are genius and those little flags and symbols really crown them all off. Brilliant, I loved it.
Just discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago, and I can't stop watching your videos. Nice work, man. It just grows my willing to play the Dungeon Universalis game I just bought on kickstarter. It could really work as part of the ambience game. Keep going man! Cheers from Spain!
Nice barricades :) I would love to see a creature to go with it (wink wink). Also dill is the best for flocking grass! I like to add oregano to it sometimes to act like dead leaves.
For US crafters - PLEASE be aware that collecting bones/feathers from birds can be highly Illegal via the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Laws sometimes vary from region to region, but if you're found with bird bones, you can be heavily fined. Read more about it here - www.fws.gov/birds/policies-and-regulations/laws-legislations/migratory-bird-treaty-act.php Someone suggested chicken bones in the comments, which I think is a GREAT idea. Just be careful when collecting from the wild! There's no way for authorities to tell that you didn't kill a bird to acquire bones/feathers, which is why it's illegal to posses them as well. Be careful and happy crafting!
ive watched several videos of yours and I must say they are amazing! the artwork makes me want to just buy painting and start to work on some projects myself!
if anyone uses bones for terrain like this, definitely look up how to clean them properly! you don't want them getting super nasty. just look through blogs, channels, etc about *vulture culture*
They are pretty durable becuse of the card stock and layers of glue and flocking. Of course, if you drop them from table-height they may become slightly damaged
next time, scratch with tool the base where the wall will be placed, further scratch the bottom of the wall, then mate them for a solid ceramic expert way. this is commonly called cross-hatching
Joining clay with method is super easy and will definitely reinforce your sculptures for longer life. Simple scoring of both pieces where they attach with water does the trick. I googled a step by step and this is the first one that populated, I briefly read it over and I believe it’s written in what would be a Bards Craft style flyeschool.com/content/two-rules-joining-clay

Wait till you see the corrugated cardboard and oatmeal box creations.
I hate to admit that as much as I love the planet. I didn’t take recycling seriously until it started to benefit my crafting lol
SAME! :-D
My life tho
*shakes fist
Oh boy, twenty minutes of bardscraft, what a treat. Looking awesome!

Bard's Craft It definitely is😀
I love that part when he uses the giant knife to gently cut things
All complaints will be ignored. That earned you a subscribe.

If I ever get to building terrain, I'm going to have to remember to scrounge in my herbs and spices for suitable ground covers. I love your videos.
I love your projects! You're one of my new favorites.

You are most certainly a brilliant crafter this channel needs more subs people are nuts that love terrain and have not subbed yet.
Worst of all, some wimps are offended by this type of content. But with patience comes greatness. Slowly growing :)

Perhaps I'll craft an UNHOLY ABOMINATION of GRUUMSH from bones and dried flesh

Nicely done and super cheap you do a great job on your crafts.

This dude straight up SAILED THE OCEAN to find some D&D terrain/props. Bruh.

Love the videos. You have taught me alot. I dont do table games, but dioramas for action figures. Keep up the great work and thank you for the videos!
Anyone recognize what soundtrack that was when he said the one-eyed god? 17:44
Ya gotta love the like to dislike ratio, I’ve never come across a crafter who ive genuinely considered likeable before this guy
But the real question is, was he lying about “finding” the bones
The bones found me, and refined my path of crafting badass terrain.
@@BardsCraft When I can't find any, I just grab my crossbows and daggers, walk to a local orphanage, and make some myself.

dude loving the video makes me exited to build a table
Gork and mork most definitely approve
That looks awesome. Great job!
Another great creation.
Super cool! Love it! Do you play d&d with these terrain prices? If so can you make a video on your game?
Amazing work as always!!!
Creativity at its best! 👍

"the one eyed god" I call him Kuken and yeah thats one truly mighty god
Very nice build. Is that a home made flock? How did you do it. Do you have any tutorial on how you did that?
You skipped some parts didn't you, haha. What I used was simply the herb dill.
Interesting, what about weight? Isn't easy to break or crack?

That's great!. And maybe also smells nice ;-)
Doesn't smell after its all done, but the crafting process is tasty :)
interesting idea very cool
Recommend to bake bones in Oven 500 degrees F for about 10 min. To kill anything that would be living on them.
You can make the clay stronger by wedging it, just knead the unshaped clay like dough.
Wish I could subscribe twice.

HONOR TO GRUUMSH
Now I know what to do with dinner scraps... winner winner chicken dinner
If this video ever goes viral (wont, haha) I will buy myself some KFC stocks in time.
Do warhammer 40k terrain
Why do you cook your bones in the oven?
It kills the various things that might be living in them. Definitely recommended when working with found natural materials.
No body no crime ....
i love your voice.
You should write orc poetry...
I am Bjork the Orc, I eat food without fork
@@BardsCraft you made my day 💚
Time to consult the bones!
