Lost planet 2 is probably what I think is what they did best. Sure the controls are clunky but the world and the amount of fun you can have with everything it gives you, just makes it all seem like simple complaints. Lost planet 2 indeed had so much potential and it's one game that I wish I could've made, so I could have done it better
The developers fucking nailed it for some stuff from the fan base perspective I think and then just went completely the wrong way with a bunch of other things. Then just made a different game completely with LP3.

Not at all. In terms of fighting big monsters, yes. In terms of acquiring new armor and weapons, far from it. LP already has the weapons and means of fighting the akrid, you as a player just need teamwork( LP2 ) or the ability to get through challenges ( LP1 ). LP has mechs and high powered weapons you can already use, detach things from mechs and use them for yourself. MH doesn't have that, and LP doesn't have the weapon and armor that MH offers. So no, not an MH but sci-fi.
I was 16 when this game came out and loved this and the second game so much. I'd love for capcom to do a remake of this down the line especially with how online multiplayer is these day's.
If someone were to ask me a hidden gem or a game series that is completely underrated , it would be the lost planet franchise. Never before have I played a game that was so unique in gameplay (First game especailly) The voice acting was absolutely terrible, but man did it make up for world design and mechanics. The second game was all about that customization. It competed with Halo Reach in my opinion. You could use your custom characters in the campaign and unlock amazing guns, it was absolutely incredible. While people trash on the third game, the story was amazing. Core gameplay was very different, but they I knew this ahead due to marketing. I was fully ready for the 4th game, but now I understand why it nothing has happened. Lost Planet 1 though just had such a dark and amazing feel to it. I can't explain it. The first game is a must play in my opinion.
I hope in future we will get a remaster Lost Planet 2.... with improved controls and QoL... hope they don't mess their core gameplay. This game is gold... too bad it is not even playable in win10 without tweak something with your pc... =(

My issue with Lost Planet 2 was how insanely reliant it was on Co-op to the point where singleplayer was painful to get through. Especially the level where the giant bug chases the moving convoy. I had to drag my Xbox over to my friend's house, and even then we still didn't get past it cause he was a noob 🤣
I played the 1st Lost Planet ,it was a great game one of my all time favorites awesome graphics I remember it having for the Xbox 360. I stopped playing games for about 11 years. Now I've been back for a few months ,I never knew there was a part 2 and a part 3 just from playing the original L P and now having the new systems here in 2022 I want a new Lost Plant for these new systems ! ! Maybe Lost planet 3 didn't sell very well and that's why we haven't seen a new L P I'm just guessing ? 🤔 Like I said I only played the 1st one ,but I'm probably alone on this. I remember riding my razor scooter down the street to my friends house and we'd play lost planet 2 together.
I miss the multiplayer sniper rifle matches on LP1, Lost colonies and LP2.

they removed it from Steam to fix GFWL. It's been over a YEAR since and no sign of it ever coming back.
