I think I have watched all of your videos. As a photographer and a former cruiser, I can appreciate the effort you have put into making these videos and the commitment to the live style you have made. A heartfelt thank you for sharing.
Loved this piece by Tony (well really like them all…) my home twenty growing up. Just did a the same cruise in reverse several years ago. (Now a long time Floridian) Tony’s video and narration is priceless…
I was stationed in Astoria between 2011 and 2016, and rode my motorcycle along the Columbia between there and Walla Walla Washington many times, on both the Washington and Oregon sides, while courting my wife (who lived in Walla Walla at the time). It was quite the trip down memory lane to see so many of the places I remember well from the saddle of a bike, just from the water's perspective! Early in the video, while filming the Astoria Sunday Market, I actually saw my wife walk through the shot! Great channel!
Gorgeous video of the most gorgeous part of the continental US - Pacific Northwest. And to think, only a few decades ago documentaries this good were only produced by the likes of National Geographic. Outstanding work! Considering the quality, FlemingYachts don't get even a small fraction of the fame they deserve
Watch wonderful travel logs. I was thinking of taking a river cruise up to Columbia and snake and now I don’t have to. I would never have seen all the sites that you have shown in this step. Thank you so much. PS, your boat is in beautiful.
In my younger years I spent many months as ships engineer on salmon tenders between Seattle and South Eastern Alaska. I know the feeling of crusing Alaskas' beautiful scenery at 10 knots. Your adventures are incredidable. Tom Fleming
Fantastic, thank you. My boating years from 1995 through 2013 in and around Portland. That was a real treat to see the old sights again. One of the marinas even had a boat just like mine.
THIS IS THE MOST WONDERFUL AND AMAZING TRAVEL DOCUMENTARY I HAVE EVER SEEN!. THANK YOU. - I watch all your Venture Boats trips (Aleutians, Alaska, British Columbia, Europe, Ireland, England, California, Idaho, New York). All videos are properly edited and perfectly presented. All landscapes, scenes, nature, blue sky, grey sky, deep blue sea make me feel so good. I enjoy watching all your videos (on my 72" flat screen TV - SONY) all time, every weekend from my home in Los Angeles. Even though I am not fortunate like you to circumnavigate the globe and travel on own boat, your sea journey and wonderful voyage videos have brought many delights and good feeling to me. We all ordinary people are grateful to you (Gratitude) for your generous and wonderful presentations. Thank you.
We have enjoyed your videos immensely, especially this interesting one of the Columbia and Snake rivers as we live in Washington State. We've seen from the ground many of these sights, so it was especially educational to see them from the water level. Thank you so much. Kate and Pat Brougham
Awesome!! I so enjoy your travels on Venture through your eyes and thoughtful narrations . Thank You for Sharing. Truly Amazing! My dream is to one day own my on Fleming Yacht and retrace Venture’s Great Adventures.
I enjoy the narration almost as much as the scenery lol. It’s definitely interesting to see those waterways from the perspective of the boat. Ive only seen them from the land. Thank you for sharing
This is only a few hundred miles away from me. Although I've been through the gorge several times, I've never had the time to really give this area, one of the most geologically fascinating in the world, the extended visit it deserves. Thanks...
What a magnificent adventure. A journey in my neck of the woods which I've always wondered what it would be like - to "sail" up the Columbia. Great narration mentioning historical significance's that go back thousands of years ago. Beautiful stills capturing what is better in a single picture than video. Looking forward to seeing the world through your eyes in your other videos.
And so another epic journey comes to an end, oh how I wish we could take a journey like this, but for now these videos will have to do, so keep em coming.
What an awesome video. I live in Central Washington, spend a lot of time on the Columbia River, Portland area. But have never seen some of what you show in this video. Kinda makes me think I need to do some more exploring. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Awesome, I live in Spokane and have fished most of the rivers and have been to all of this area. But this really captured it and gave a great feel for it.
Every aspect of these amazing videos is stunning - mesmerizing! The highest quality. Thank you, Mr. Fleming for sharing these with us. Please keep them coming. Your boat is beautiful. I'm playing the lottery now in hopes to win and then make a Fleming 65' my first purchase. When are you coming to the Great Lakes?
I would love to cruise the Great Lakes but they are a very long way by sea from California and now being in my 86th year I think it unlikely I will make it there!
Well, the Greats are awesome - I’ve sailed most of the - but nothing as impressive as your expeditions. Thanks again for sharing your videos with us. They are simply fabulous!
Blue water & blue sky covered with beautiful ☁ clouds 1 to 10 venture all episodes are very very impressive so natural and knowledgeable very detail describe about water boats different dance cultural activities so on God bless
We boat in the vicinity of Portland on the Columbia and Willamette rivers. Have been to your dockage location at the rock many times. Nice to see some of our local sights.
Beautiful and relaxing video, as always. At 3:27, you mention the expedition of Lewis and Clark, which would not have been successful had it not been for the invaluable help received from the Native American tribes encountered throughout its journey, you point out. True, but as always in American comments about the history of the United States, the presence and help of french speaking Canadians is continually forgotten or ignored. However, the success of Lewis and Clark’s expedition was based primarily on the fact that it was French Canadians and French-speaking mixed-race who guided it from St-Louis to the Pacific, because they had known the territory for decades. Their names were Georges Drouillard, Toussaint Charbonneau, Pierre Cruzatte, François Labiche and Jean-Baptiste Lepage, to name but a few. Drouillard, in particular, played a leading role in the survival of the group, proving to be an outstanding hunter and the one who, by far, brought the most game to feed the hungry bellies of the explorers. I would like to correct this very important oversight of your audio comments.
i did really enjoy the trip and is just another on my hopefull bucket list . i do look forward to seeing new stuff but also enjoy the old as well.. please keep it coming .. i wonder how many flemmings have sold after watching these viideos. i cant think of better marketing than the sucecssful voyages in a company boat ..saying, better than any salesmen could ever acchieve... you too could do this and follow in tonys wake... dont delay start your flemming voyage of discovery today
Thank you for the video cruise to areas that I am unlikely to see - I have retired to Mareeba, a pleasant village on the tablelands above Cairns in FNQ (Far North Queensland 17 degrees South)...
The NW is such a wonderful place to explore, I love living in Oregon. Upon first moving here I met a woman who informed me that Clark had a Slave named York who accompanied them across the continent. At that time Indians had no patience for white man but were curious about this big black man who it turns out was very entertaining. Why this is hidden in history is strange, took some research. I would say York led this group, because without him they would not have gone far. You can see York on the Astoria Tower and at the State Building Mural in Salem.
I've always wanted to travel to my home state on the river.😊 Edit::; hells canyon in Idaho has the distinction of being the deepest canyon in the United States..
As always, I've enjoyed your travels for many years. For THIS particular one, I can tell from the terminology you'd used that you've done some study of geology. Well spoken, Sir. I was particularly fascinated by the columnar basalt at ruclips.net/video/Rv0iYqcHmwA/видео.html.
Wonderful capture of this journey. How available is fuel along these two rivers, and how often did you take advantage of fuel availability? What speed did you maintain against the current along the Columbia? Many Thanks!
We run at 9.5 to 10 knots.. There is almost no current above Bonneville there is very little current because the river between the dams is virtually a series of lakes. We took on fuel near Portland and had sufficient to make the return trip without taking on more. There is fuel available along the route.
Thank you so very much! My wife and I are riveted to your series of videos. We absolutely love them. As a math geek, might I compare numbers. Running at 9.5 to 10 knots, I have you using somewhere around 13 gph with a cruising range around 1100 NM. Is that close to reality? This is why we are so impressed with the Fleming 65. Its passage capabilities both handling wise and fuel efficiency wise are unparalleled. Awesome boat! Safe Travels!
Im curious about going through locks. Is there a fee for going through them? If yes then how much does it cost? Also, are there fees for staying at each marina? How much fuel does Venture use for a trip like this?
If you're referring to the change in rainfall at a little past 16 minutes, that's due the rain shadow east of the Cascade Mountains. It's a geological effect seen in Oregon and Washington. It's very abrupt in both states. If you are referring to something else, my apologies, I misunderstood.
Best one I’ve watched yet, thank you!
Tony never disappoints!
just a single word: wonderful!
👍Never get tired of this.👍
I think I have watched all of your videos. As a photographer and a former cruiser, I can appreciate the effort you have put into making these videos and the commitment to the live style you have made. A heartfelt thank you for sharing.
Outstanding in every way!
Loved it beautiful and thank you👌👍👌👍👌👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I am living vicariously. Thank you Tony.
Boy is it easy to get carried along with your travels. Such excellent editing/post production (music) work.
How do only have 39k followers? Your channel is true hidden gem. Thank you for taking the time to produce and post your amazing videos.
Thanks Tony for sharing this! Very well presented!🎉
Great video, and fantastic narration
Loved this piece by Tony (well really like them all…) my home twenty growing up. Just did a the same cruise in reverse several years ago. (Now a long time Floridian) Tony’s video and narration is priceless…
Wonderful! I lived in eastern Wa for some years. Sure brought back some memories of the landscape.
I wished i had paid more attention. Thanks again.

Amazing, stunning. beautiful...everything, the voice, the comment, the expertise
Just watched it on my computer. Fascinating. Loved the history as well as the scenery
Watch wonderful travel logs. I was thinking of taking a river cruise up to Columbia and snake and now I don’t have to. I would never have seen all the sites that you have shown in this step. Thank you so much. PS, your boat is in beautiful.
This is the best channel on RUclips in my opinion; keep them coming Tony
Tony, the quality of your videography just demonstrates the quality to be expected from Fleming yachts, if only I was ever positioned to own one....
In my younger years I spent many months as ships engineer on salmon tenders between Seattle and South Eastern Alaska. I know the feeling of crusing Alaskas' beautiful scenery at 10 knots. Your adventures are incredidable. Tom Fleming
Thanks for all your outstanding videos. You took me to places I never saw before and told me things I never knew before. Great work.

I saw this a while ago and watched it again and I am watching it today. I just like to see these well made, well narrated films.
Well worth watching again and again!
most amazing boat ride i have ever seen. I knew nothing, not even photos, of this region.
It is spectacular. I have lived in the region for a bit over 50 years and never tire of our sights.
some of us call it home.
I'm 10 min in, and WOW what a great video so far. I've lived in this region most of my life and I've learned alot watching. Great work!
We have enjoyed your videos immensely, especially this interesting one of the Columbia and Snake rivers as we live in Washington State. We've seen from the ground many of these sights, so it was especially educational to see them from the water level. Thank you so much. Kate and Pat Brougham
Fascinating. I kept having to pause the video so I could open another tab and educate myself on the places you visited.
Awesome!! I so enjoy your travels on Venture through your eyes and thoughtful narrations . Thank You for Sharing. Truly Amazing! My dream is to one day own my on Fleming Yacht and retrace Venture’s Great Adventures.

Yes keep them coming it’s a joyful journey for me ,
Awesome Adventure ......
Every minute of every video is worth watching multiple times... Hope all is well with you all :-)))
I've been on the roads both sides of that river. Thanks for sharing a new perspective with me.
Same here. I use to drive a commercial truck and I thought I seen all the Columbia river had to offer... I guess not.
What a wonderful trip! It is amazing to learn of the navigatable waterway's to the sea, that are throughout the U.S!
The narrator makes me feel like am in the yatch. Luvly watching from kenya

Awesome journey with the most powerful voice...I just love the voice....
having driven down the Columbia on I80 a multitude of times, it was wonderful to see if from the river.
Tony; Magnificent ! Thank You !
River cruising is an aspect of boating I hadn't considered... So much on the Bahamas, and globe trotting.. but rivering looks absolutely fun.

Fascinating as always, but they’re not windmills as the lack a millstone, they’re wind turbines
Aaaa lovely Venture! My favorite on RUclips!
Most excellent video
I'm kind of sad that I'm too busy with work to go to the gym because I loved watching your videos on the treadmill.
What a great trip.
Thank you for the video cruise to areas that I am unlikely to see - I have retired to Mareeba, a pleasant village on the tablelands above Cairns in FNQ (Far North Queensland 17 degrees South)...

So interesting thank you so much. What an adventure. And with my all time favourite yacht. Can I ask is it a Fleming 55?
It's a Fleming 65
@@FlemingYachts thank you. Sorry for my ignorance. I've just worked my way backwards on your channel. ;) Your boats are stunning:)
Superb.
Have you given any thought to going up the Mississippi River? And the Missouri as well? That would be worth a dozen videos at least! Lol
I am sure that trip would be very interesting and worthwhile but no thoughts of doing that right now.
Im curious about going through locks. Is there a fee for going through them? If yes then how much does it cost?
Also, are there fees for staying at each marina?
How much fuel does Venture use for a trip like this?
From what I could find, by doing very cursory and EASY searching: no, there us no fee.
Just Awesome !!
Best beautiful 🤩 amazing
