I've been watching you for years, and you have been so helpful during my skincare journey. I absolutely love how intelligent, compassionate and non-judgmental you are!
Hey cassandra, a brand called ‘LaSheild’ in India makes several types of sunscreens that are recommended by most of the dermatologists here. They make physical/chemical/mixed sunscreens, they are an explicit sunscreen making brand, I guess. Have a look, you should review this!!!
No they are not a sunscreen brand. LaShield is a product of Glenmark which is a well known Indian pharmaceutical company. It's just one of their products. I mean just to let you know. I have used LaShield for a long time (the original one) because I couldn't find any other good sunscreens in India which did not leave a white cast. But recently I started using loreal aqua essence which is a water based sunscreen. Works well but was too pricey for such a small pack. Shifted to derma co's latest sunscreen (the older one left me looking like a ghost). This new one is water based and has hyaluronic acid in it too. Does not leave a white cast at all. Very light. Non greasy. I am liking it much better than la shield.
@@wittypediay you can check out minimalist sunscreens. they are available in 2 versions but i recommend you the spf 60 cause the spf 50 one has avabenzone so it might get absorbed into the bloodstream. this sunscreen does leave a white cast but it is very light and also the consistency might be thick when you pump it out of the bottle, but i swear it is very fast absorbing. again the minimalist sunscreens arent pricey so it will do good for you.
Before finishing this, I would like to comment on how lovely Cassandra looks in this video. I think she looks more rosy here than usual and that outfit look great on her too.

Love your content, Cassandra! As a former vegan myself, I know you're coming from a well-intentioned place when you talk about veganism; all the same, veganism and ableism often go hand in hand; for people with medically necessary dietary restrictions (gastroparesis, food allergies, celiac disease, IBD, SIBO/IBS, etc.), getting adequate nutrition often necessitates the consumption of animal protein. For individuals with a history of disordered eating as well, eliminating entire food groups can be very unhealthy; it is in everyone's best interest to resist the notions of "good foods" and "bad foods". There is also much more nuance to the long-term health effects of red meat consumption than the Group 2A Carcinogen label suggests. We have low- to very-low quality data on the long-term health risks of eating unprocessed red meat. Meta-analyses of the currently available evidence actually make the "weak" recommendation that people *not* change their eating habits with respect to red and processed meat, based solely on health data (ethical and environmental concerns aside). This recommendation has weighed randomized controlled trials higher than observational studies, considered the limited quality of the evidence overall, and assessed the small absolute effect sizes and the limited statistically significant outcome measures. The metadata on *decreasing* (not eliminating) unprocessed red meat intake creates a *very small risk* reduction in major cardiovascular outcomes and type 2 diabetes, with *no statistically significant differences in all-cause mortality, including overall lifetime cancer mortality, and no statistically significant differences for 8 additional cancer outcomes*. The metadata tells us that, while there *is* good evidence for the health benefits of eating plenty of fruits and vegetables (at least 50% reduction in cancer risk when eating 5-7 servings of fruit + veg/day), there is not sufficient evidence to support any significant health benefit to eliminating unprocessed red meat, and there is very low-quality evidence to suggest a health benefit to reducing intake of unprocessed red meat. I know you understand how powerful it is to have a platform, and for young folks especially it can be very easy to hear "meat is a carcinogen" and eliminate entire food groups from their diet and demonize those foods, which can sometimes veer into the territory of disordered eating. Plainly asserting that meat is a carcinogen is not totally factually correct (as always, the dose makes the poison and the evidence is much more nuanced), and this also casts judgment upon individuals with medically necessary dietary restrictions who do eat meat and for whom it would not be medically advisable to eliminate meat from their diets. This very thinking was what brought me to veganism as a teenager, and kept me there for multiple years, which ultimately led to a very persistent eating disorder. It's worthwhile to be nuanced and careful when speaking about this issue as the evidence is nuanced and the implications can be very complex. www.acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/M19-1621 sciencebasedmedicine.org/the-red-meat-controversy/

Your reactions are wildly entertaining. The genuine shock and awe in your face, body contortions, and hand movements from something like an essential oil become almost like performance art, or silent film acting. I genuinely wasn’t watching whoever this was. It’s almost parody? But you seem so passionate about eye creams and ingredients, so I know this is supposed to be serious. Thanks!
Oh lol I was right on the poll! Thank you so much for this, I’ve never seen anyone react to her skincare routine and I’ve always seen her do it all the time in her vids and wondered if the products she uses are actually good
The belief aqua bomb is how I figured out that I was sensitive to Denat alcohol. Everytime I put it on, it would make my face go bright tomato red immediately and sting. I took it out of my routine, put it back in a week later and the same thing happened. Worked another product in that had alcohol and the same thing happened. I wanted to love this brand but with my reactive, acne prone skin, my skin just can’t get along with it. Love her skin, she looks so beautiful 😍 I’m glad it works for her ❤️
@@sharonharris9782 That was kinda my point with the comment. If I’m sensitive to alcohol and Essential Oils with combo, dehydrated skin then idk how it works for her with her being so dry. I was just trying to not be rude about it lol because I do like her and enjoy her content. But if it does work for her than that is cool. It’s just crazy to think that her dry skin can take that much alcohol and fragrance. And that’s not just aimed at Belif, she uses a lot of alcohol, essential oil, and Fragrance heavy products across many brands. But like you said, she takes a lot of sponsorships. Which, get your bag girl, but maybe put a disclaimer and say, this product has a large amount of denat alcohol, so if your sensitive to that than you may want to skip this product.
I have a red, irritated reaction to Aqua Bomb cream as well. I have not determined it is the DA causing it, but it is a consistent response within 2 minutes of application. Love the consistency and non sticky dry down but unfortunately, I cannot use this product..

I use a lot of different cleansing balms it's the experience for me and I always use "too" much product because I like it because seeing the milky mess is so satisfying to me. It's her money she can use as much product as she wants. I hate judgement when it comes to people likes.
My skin loves the belif true cream moisture bomb. It’s amazing for dry/dehydrated skin and goes really well under make up. It’s one of my faves, but it’s pricey. That and the skin fix triple lipid peptide face cream are my holy grails in winter (I live in the frozen tundra of Wisconsin). Also pricey haha. I can kind of justify the price since the other products I use are $10 and under. It evens out in the end.

I used to use the belif moisture bomb and I loved it, but I also stopped using it when I went fully cruelty free because iirc belif is not. But yeah, the clean beauty thing is... just marketing. I think what is always important to understand is that with skincare, one size does not fit all. What might work well for many doesn't for others. Even sensitive skin isn't all the same - it's genetics, baby! Thanks!
Her skin is glowing and I want mine to glow that much. 😍
I love that cleanser
When it comes to the undereye area, I usually just like to focus *gently* with whatever my gentlest products are
Belif has sooooooooooo much fragrance, their moisturizer reminds me of something I’d buy at bath and body works
Cassandra you need to make a beauty line I would buy all your skin care products! 🙏🏼💜💜
A lot of people have really taken to cooking at home from the first lockdown in the UK, now we’re heading into a second I anticipate the same, so that is a positive I would take from this crazy year!
Omg CASSANDRA!! More videos on nutrition and tips I know a lot of people like myself who got into skincare but then it extended to diet and everything else 😊 it would be cool to see what types of food help with your skin
You and Dr Dray have saved me so much money time and energy. Thank you for the information. Love learning from y'all. I'm a sunscreen addict now:)
I’ve been watching her years to learn about my hair this video makes me so happy❤️
Thank you for clarifying the eye cream situation i was skeptical but i thought i was wrong cause i woke up one day and my undereyes had lines outta nowhwere! I think i just needed sleep though. The second she said way but “i see what you are doing Belif and I don’t “belif “in it” I subscribed 😂
Cassandra gives me good positive vibes
Cassandra we actually don't deserve 29 minutes of your beautiful face 💞💞
I love love loveee Lusette soo much, she’s honestly such a sweet soul and has taught me soo much🥺
I love when my skin is soft and supple.
Watching her talk about nutrition made me hungry
Cassandra you look more radiant than usual
Lmao we both made the same face when she scooped a handful of that balm 🤣🤣
You're 6 ft awesome. I'm 6 ft 1. Tall women are :) 😁. I love the recycling aspect of the meal kit.
love seeing you talk about nutrition! i have a nutrition diploma and i find it all fascinating. i’m an ethical vegan too! 💖
Cass, we need more of YOUR videos where you are playing with cats and being all cute and fluffy! Also please, pretty please, make more videos about nutrition and gastrointestinal well-being, here's "another one of those" subscribers. :-)
I LOVE Belif moisture bomb. Even though I try to avoid fragrance-this was my holy grail for forever!!! Now I’m all in on the milk makeup one!!
Kim
Is the milk one as hydrati g?
@@sharroon7574 it’s actually a little
Thicker and more moisturizing!
Just discovered this channel and I'm loving It! I love how honest Cassandra is. We need more honesty on the internet.
I felt my soul leaving my body when I saw how much she used from the cleansing balm. Like, sis! Even half of it would be more than enough to remove a fully beat face 😨
I always learn new things from her new videos, she's very smart.
13:26 Keep bergamot oil in your Earl Gray. Not in skincare.
Wild caught salmon , steam your own fresh cut/peeled veggies... brown rice , OYSTERS YUM 🤗 and sardines ... I love seafood and it's good for your skin ♡ lots of almonds walnuts and Brazil nuts too :)
put the part about oily scalp but dry ends on curly hair ON REPEAT to my straight haired mom so she'd finally understand why I go through my hair mask so fast - thank u queen for making her understand in scientific terms I do not understand but she does (:
Cassandra, once you told us that you would teach us how we're actually supposed to use that dermalogica exfoliating powder, I guess you forgot ?
Yes please, Cassandra do a video on exfoliating powders
I remember her showing it on her amazon dermalogica live. Not sure if it's still available. But basically, it's easier to whip into a foam with a brush.
www.amazon.com/live/broadcast/981a91bb-23db-445c-9cd1-cd6a4d3404fe
I hope that link works for you. It's called desmistifying dermalogica.
@@sexydoorframes ohhh ok thanks.
I am so so jealous of her skin😍 and i love her cat 🥺
The camera she uses blurrs her pores. Beauty influencers use it...
You can’t just POINT OUT A HEART MONITOR and NOT explain why you have it! Are you okay? Do you need a hug? Honey, what’s going on!!!
ive been trying to figure out what that is!
When I get some coin imma check out that green chef. I have been having a hard time with food while trying to get my home business going. I keep watching you cause you are one of the few vegan skincare vloggers. I really appreciate that nearly all of your recommendations are Vegan. I think the only thing I saw that wasn't were a couple of acne treatments.
I've got really oily skin and I love using an oil cleanser! I really noticed a difference.
The brand is not cruelty free.
Yup! They've been selling in mainland China since the get!
Thank you, I was going to say that, too! 👏🏻
Whatt. I thought they were :/
I’m soooooo happy I’ve found you!!!! I learn so much
I’m just going to say it..... I’m in love with Cassandra!
I use a lot of different cleansing balms it's the experience for me and I always use "too" much product because I like it because seeing the milky mess is so satisfying to me. It's her money she can use as much product as she wants. I hate judgement when it comes to people likes.
I was quite the INCREDIBLE Raw Vegan chef 2 decades ago! 😁
Now we need a channel on nutrition from you Cassandra!
This sponser ship makes so much sense for this channel and I really want to check this out
I hope one day you'll have your own television show♡♡
My skin loves the belif true cream moisture bomb.
You should do a nutrition series! In your signature scientific way.
Does anyone else watch Cass so much that you literally DREAM about her? Yes, I said dream! Apparently its a thang 🤣 Like at least twice a week lol. Love ya Cass, your def in my subconscious. Weird but yet not so weird lol.
Ooohhhh! Kitten again! Playing with the toys my cat owns.
I love balm cleansers, but I've switched to oil based cleansers because of the microplastics 😪
if you still want to use balm cleansers the burts bees and inkey list ones are good cheap options. if you can afford it though i absolutely love the original banilla co one
@@soplea23 banila co is not vegan and cruelty free, which is why I am not a fan. Nor is Burt's bees but the inkey list is the bomb.
The Drunk Elephant Slaai balm cleanser is free of microplastics!
I love lisette😍 been watching her since the begging of her channel
There’s this podcast called Ologies where this nerdy woman interviews various experts (ologists). 1. You should get on this show 2 . There is an episode about butterflies. What I remember most about butterflies is they love rotting corpses and poop. Doesn’t make me love butterflies any less but interesting tidbit.
Oh my godddd you talk alooyyttt . I love ittt you deep dive into everything 😁😁. Knowledge overflow in one video
I'm Keto (grass fed finished only) and I love you for not judging. I also love Brocolini!
The aqua bomb is so good, I love it🥰
I would love to see you reviewing few indian products like dot n key, minimalist, Sugandha , juicy chemistry, etc etc
Im so grateful for your channel 🙂
Hey doc !
I have large pores on my face
I have been using T.O retinol 0.5 in squalene since last month but I don't see any difference
Can I start using retin - a cream instead of retinol serum ?
Love from India ❤
Yes for nutrition videos!!
You gasping over James Welsh is giving me life! 💓 I love watching one of my faves gushing over another one of my faves! 💖
Really enjoying your videos but damn the white background is bright! I need a dark mode so I can binge your channel instead of sleeping like I should be ;)
IKR....same
@ 0:51 OMG I know what that is. I was not expecting to see that. My mom had to get that as well a few days ago. I respect your privacy and your channel a and just you as a person and it would be so rude for me to speak on what that is ..so all I wanna say is I hope you’re doing well and feeling well. And whatever you’re going through you’re not in it alone. Your an amazing soul, continue to SHINE. I love you and your channel. ✨✨
I love your videos so much! You inspire me to be a nutritionist and a skin expert like you💕
Happy first november! Let the christmas feelz begin
and thank you for the murad recommendation! :)
We are definitely asking! please Dive into nutrition in a vid!
Yasssss 2 queens in one screen!!! Wahhh I love u Cassandra and Lisette!!!🥰🥰🥰
🦋🦋💕🥰
Same here💖
I loved your videos, I stay learning a lot from you, my skin is improving every day, thank you
I love your videos. This was so helpful, I did not know the proper time to put on an eye cream until now. Thank You 😊
I knew Cassandra was going to get annoyed over the eye cream! 🤣
Lol me too 😂
I love it when u get extra nerdy 😍😍
Also .. i would love some more nutritional information videos because i know u totally know what you're talking about !!
Oh my god her skin is gorgeous, and I like that she's doing a long term partnership because skincare doesn't just immediately change the appearance of skin, it takes weeks.
Yay! Thank you for making this video. 😀
I would really really love to see you talk about nutrition some more, like how does my nutrition helps with sleeping, mental and health in general
I have really found taking vit b5 and b3 really helped increase my sleep if that is what you are struggling with. But do research into if you are able to take with whatever meds you are taking or any conditions you have as they obviously can react.
Yes do more nutrition videos. I’m going vegan for my skincare and gut care and over all health. I’d love more info and advice from people like you. Xxxx
I think she uses retinol ( she mentioned it in past videos) that could be why her skin looks so smooth
