Do you find 8.7 inch screen too big? Would 8inch be better?
The 8.7 inch fits fine as long as you can move down the windscreen. I would choose it over 8 inch so its easier to read the map in DMD2.

Werkt de ODB2 ook niet met een 10-pin stekker GS-911 naar ODB-2 adapter?
Hoi Pascal, helaas gaat dit niet werken. Dmd2 ondersteund alleen nieuwere modellen.
can you get OBD2 on the dashboard? Info from you ECU?
Only on newer models, not on the R1150
Did you connect this bike with an obd2 Bluetooth connection? Can DMD2 read the computer protocol? I have an r1150gs but I'm not sure the app will connect to the bike, and I don't know if it's worth spending money if I only have the GPS speed and maps...
Hi Jelle, I did do some online research as I had the same questions. The r1150's use gs911 instead of OBD2. Dmd2 currenty only supports OBD2 used on more recent motorcycles. So for now it's not possible to get any readings from the bike in DMD2. Hopefully in the future gs911 compatibility will be added in DMD2. The GPS speed works fine and as GPS the DMD2 app is very versatile.
Thanks! Yes, but I can use the MotoScan app with an OBD2 Bluetooth device and connection adapter, so the hardware exists to make it happen! I don't think there is much demand for DMD2 to add the capability, though.
Hoe bevalt de tablet en de tablet mount? Ik wil dezelfde opstelling gaan installeren op mijn motor. Ik hoor graag van je!
Ik zal binnenkort eens de review video maken om mijn ervaringen te delen. In het kort: over de tablet ben ik erg te spreken. Altijd goed leesbaar en geen storingen door trillingen etc. De usb-c aansluiting is wel een must, want anders gaat de batterij van je tablet echt snel leeg. Bij zwaar regenachtig weer zal je de tablet toch een extra bescherming moeten geven, want deze is niet geheel waterdicht. Tijdens mijn rit afgelopen weken naar Engeland heb ik een navigatie echt nodig gehad en hiervoor in eerste instantie DMD2 gebruikt, maar na een aantal gemiste afslagen ben ik toch teruggestapt naar google maps aangezien deze mij toch beter bevalt. Op wat voor motor wil je de tablet installeren?
@@nielsonwheels83 Bedankt voor je uitgebreide reactie! Ik wil graag een tablet op mijn Yamaha tracer 9 monteren ivm navigatie. De Samsung tab a9 is dan een niet te dure optie, twijfel alleen nog over de steun. Hoe vind jij de tabletsteun die je op jouw motor gemonteerd hebt?
