Ridge Racer Revolution - How to get the White Angel, Devil, and Devil Kid Cars

Again, like in Ridge Racer, play the mini game at the beginning and kill all the enemies to get access to more cars. And just like last time, I used Car #6 Galaga RT Carrot. I found that car to have the best stats for my type of driving, but you're free to choose whatever works best; your mileage my vary (pun intended).Win the Novice, Intermediate, and Expert tracks with the 12 other racers. After that, play the Extra tracks Time Trials with 3 cars to gain access to the secret cars.
Win the Novice Extra track to get the 13 Racing Devil Car, the Intermediate Extra track for the 13 Racing Devil Kid Car, and the Expert Extra track for the White Angel #0 Car. Just like in the original Ridge Racer, the Angel/Devil car will be waiting to blow your doors off on the first lap. Don't be a hero (or a Rare Hero, ha...) - just let the car pass instead of blocking on lap one, as it won't do anything to help. It's the second and third laps where you will have to stay ahead.
1:30 - For the White Angel car race (Expert Extra Time Trial 3-car race), since you don't have a super car, it's rather difficult - in fact more difficult than the original. You might think acquiring the Devil Car will give you an advantage against the Angel Car, however the inability to drift easily actually makes it harder in my opinion. Although you have a rear view mirror to block the car easier, the opponent super car will be much more aggressive in trying to pass, sometimes juking left and then going right or vice-versa in order to evade your blocking. You really have to be on your toes to watch the track as well as the rear view and steer accordingly to block, sometimes so much so that you end up hitting a wall. The faster you go and less walls you hit, the less you give the super car chances to try to pass.
After you acquire the Angel Car, the Novice Extra T.T. race for the Devil Car (6:04) and the Intermediate Extra T.T. Race for the Devil Kid Car (9:19) are pretty easy. A tip for drifting with the Angel Car - since the handling is so good, you will actually need to hit the brake after letting go of accelerate while turning left/right to initiate the drift.

ah that old Galaga 88 Bonus theme! takes me back to playing this on demo 1 way back in the day. I've never beaten the Angel car. i think i used Action replay to get it back in the day.

The reason the WHITE ANGEL is the hardest rival to beat, is because your racing on the hardest track with the highest engine class Z and the WHITE ANGEL has max acceleration, that’s why it could keep recovering and going after you.
It still puzzles me to how 13th RACING is on a much easier track and has almost perfect stats, let alone it’s low acceleration

There is something very suspect about this footage... for 1 thing the Carrot car doesn't handle like that (the steering is very snappy in this footage like some kind of Cheat Code is being used), its also not as fast as this video suggests. I have just setup the exact same Race, NTSC U version of the game, Real Hardware used and its no where near as fast or as Snappy as this footage.

I would think the HD quality, 16:9 aspect ratio, and high framerate would all be indicators that this is footage from an emulator (Retroarch), not original hardware...

@@DaveDoc1984 I'm using the NeGcon setting of the game to allow analog input. When doing that it makes the screen tilt back and forth over using digital input.
