- The problems all started with the Infotainment Center powering on-off-on-off at will. 2nd VW Dealer had it 2 months, fixed some issues and opened up new ones.
05/05/17: Been a year now since the battle started, we go to Court next month. How you like me now VW?
07/20/2017 Update: Court proceedings were scheduled for June 27, 2017 but VW's Attorney injured his hand in a car door just prior. Then shafted my Attorney and had it rescheduled for September 27, 2017. Let VW keep stalling, more problems are showing up.
Mine dose that same thing but it will restart and work for a couple seconds and freeze again.
Another new "non-conformity" with the Passat SEL Infotainment Center. After the "wire-overlay" to detour the wire-harness...? Still waiting until June or July to see what the Court says about it.
I’d sure like to know where the splices and shorts are. My information center stopped working altogether two days ago.
How did you fix
VW spliced jumper wires over part of the wire harness to eliminate a "short" they said. So far, it's been much better.
Any update to this saga?
Stereo hasn't "lost power" for a while now. "Normal quirks" Just getting stone-walled by VW for other Warranty repairs (leaking windows, trunk still not opening "hands-free, etc). Still set to go to Court in May. My biggest concern now is why the front rotors are very grooved with 35k miles and 95% of pads left. Front right tire wear is excessive, maybe a bent frame from transport...? Check out my other videos. VW has gone WAY DOWN in quality and Service.
My 2012 Jetta SEL has same problem - just stopped playing - it connects to SiriusXM, can see all stations and it connects to my phone Bluetooth - But NO Volume - VW has worst electronics, I’m done with VW - there are much better and even much cheaper cars today -
