- A warm late September solo hammock camp in the Galloway forest. It was about as perfect as it gets, no wind, no midges, it only rained while I was asleep… it was just perfect!
Great spoon you made 😊👍
Thank you, thats so nice of you to say :)
@@annieoutdoors sure ☺️👍
Please have some self defence protection with you.
The knife is good and also an ear piercing alarm to scare off any would be attacker, Some kind of spray as well that leaves invisible tains the a UVI light can pick up that are used for criminal identification. Apart from that enjoy. Hey im a man and I am mindful when camping.
@@thegroove2000 appreciated… you’re right, being aware of threat is important. For a bit of context - this is a very rural area with really low crime rates. I’m more likely to meet a lost badger than someone dangerous. However, I do have lots of potential protective items with me… several knives, axes and I used to coach BJJ & Thai boxing (also ex military)…. My friends tell me I’m the scariest thing in the woods lol … I’ll investigate the UVI spray thing though, sounds interesting! Thank you for you’re thoughts 🙂
@@annieoutdoors ha ha you seem well prepared. You enjoy yourself. I am to get up there next spring as im down in england. You got it good up there. Have a nice weekend.
I found places city's way more dangerous than the great outdoors not only in Scotland... Also encountered cougars and bears and the main stuff scared me where hunters with the unnecessaryty of firepower they bring. As well city's and hiking by a road cars Are so dangerous.
@@BackpackerScience Enjoy the wonders but be vigilant.
