Dear Kate, I think your work is amazing! And I so appreciate these posts, I've learned so much from watching you work. I am so very sorry for your loss - you are doing such amazing work which I know brings joy to those who get to see your work, and I am hoping that you are finding healing and comfort in your creativity.
Thank you so much for encouraging me with your appreciation, grace, and condolences. I'm moving along one day at a time, and yes, I am finding healing, comfort and peace in my creative gift from God.
I'm not sure, but it's probably Somerset Velvet paper from Dick Blick. There's a direct link in the description below the video. Thanks for your questions & comments, Susan. Peace 🌿
This is lovely! I actually liked it better when you turned it around. I have no problem at all with the background music, just saying. Keep on rolling!
You ars not alone with circles they are never ending and that makes them so attractive to artists. I once read a book about circles used in architecture which was very interesting.
Always enjoy your Videos & Art, very inspiring... the last clip on this video you show the final print hanging on somekind of fixture, what is it and are they available? thanks
Yes, Tony. I knew people might ask. There's an Amazon link in the description below the video for you to find the magnetic strips. They work great! Thanks for the inspiring comments!
so you didn't need to add paint to integrate the collage in because you accomplished that with color harmony and placement choices in the first place? its lovely and all seems to belong together as it is. i am trying to learn more about the collage integration part, and i think i just did. thank you! : D
Thanks so much, Judith. I would only need paint if there was a distracting, hard edge of paper, especially in a focal area. I'd use a paint color that would help blend the two and reduce contrast. I may use some yellow ochre in the upper left if the hard edges of the horizontal paper starts bugging me. And I'd use a dry brush scumbling technique with my brush, with not much paint, adding a little at a time.
@avanellehansen4525 my editing software doesn't allow me to mute music while I record narrative. Older version of my video producer. I'll try to dial it back a notch. Thanks for your feedback. I'm launching again on Friday & I'll check it out. 🌿
It's my 1st time. I saw another artist display like this at a show. I've already mounted one on a cradle panel. It looks pretty good. Just needs a floater frame.
I'm loving the tomato red bowl scraper against the turquoise and ochre.
Yes, I can see that potential! 🌿
So glad to find you through the collaboration you did with Fulton! Now I have two favorite people to watch and inspire me!
OMG, thank you sooo much. That was lots of fun! Keep watching! 🌿🌿

Thanks Kate, great print, and once again inspiring.
Thanks again, Linda!
So great that it looked great upside down! Which paper is that?

I loved this print when it first appeared as a ghost! I knew you would make nice additions to complete it!
Thank you for your lovely comments! I love it, too!

Thank you, Cora Anne, for your comments about circles. I know circles are huge influence on many artists. Architects are artists, too. Peace 🌿
Beautiful! Thanks 🌸

@@KateWordArt woo! thank you!! helpful!!
Lovely. The piano music is distracting and not needed. Your commentary is enough. 😊
Thanks, Avanelle. Is it too loud? How about if I just soften it?
Yes. Or Perhaps mute it while you’re speaking.

So, do you hang your prints while you’re deciding what to do next? Interesting idea.
