Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. Today we're taking a look at the 2023 KTM 690 SMC R. Is it the ultimate supermoto? Let's find out. First off, let's talk about its powerplant. The 690cc single-cylinder engine pumps out 74 horsepower and 54 pound-feet of torque, and it's mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. This thing is a lot of fun to ride, and it'll definitely put a smile on your face. The suspension on the SMC R is top-of-the-line. Up front, you've got WP APEX USD forks, and in the rear, you've got a WP APEX shock. The bike is really stable and handles incredibly well on the street and in the corners. The brakes on this bike are nothing to mess around with either. You've got Brembo M4.32 calipers up front with a 320mm rotor, and a Brembo single-piston caliper in the rear with a 240mm rotor. Braking is smooth, controlled, and powerful. Overall, the 2023 KTM 690 SMC R is a fantastic supermoto. It's a ton of fun to ride, handles incredibly well, and the brakes are top-notch.
