@@sledge1960 ‘small guitar’? It’s not a small guitar. It’s essentially a dreadnought with a thinner waist. Taylor has 4 guitar bodies that are smaller than this, baby, gs mini, gt, grand concert. My favorite Taylor’s are the Grant Concert series. A similar comparison would by 322ce vs 312ce.

Great playing. Very precise. Yet beautiful I am amazed by the distinct tones of these two models. The 324ce is rich and mellow. 314ce is bright and crisp. Can’t pick one.
Honestly the differences are minor, and only so pronounced because they’re side by side. Regardless of which one you buy, when you get it home and that’s the only guitar you’re playing, you’re going to love it. It’s like buying a TV from the wall at Best Buy. They’re both phenomenal guitars.
I Tried to find that Tasmanian Black Wood model, but when I bought it, the website site it was that one but sent me a full mahogany one..sounded great but Ended up returning, it lacked that clarity that the black wood brings to the table
The guitars I buy have slowly been changing to electric but that may have to change in the coming months. Acoustic will always have a special place in my heart
Please please give us the chords for 314 song. Or all if possible. Trying to learn these new airy chords. Would love to expand my vocab but I can’t figure out most of them.
Both sound amazing . . . 314 sounds a little more balanced but I like deep like the 324. Either way, play them both and take home the one that speaks to YOU. No wrong decision.
They both sound amazing yet totally different. On my AirPods Pros I can definitely pick up on the more contained yet somehow louder low-mids of the 324ce. The 314 can definitely stand out in a mix though. Beautiful guitars. I ended up ordering the 324ce. I like the idea and sound of the mahogany top. I might eventually also get the 224ce dlx and a big-baby as well. Great presentation. Thanks!
My take: the 314 has a nice bright tone that sounds great for most application. It starts to wash out the low end with heavy strumming. The 324 provides a more balanced sound with heavy strumming. But it does lose some of the bright tone and resonance. I was really impressed with the ES2 pickup system when I played the 314. It’s not as “hot” as the Fishman electronics in my current guitar. It can clean up some of the extra bright tones that the 314 has. I think the 314 is the move. Especially if you are using the in-line pickup. It sounds great plugged in.
i prefer the 314ce here but really want to like the 324ce which I do but not enough, seems muffled in the mids, going to try 212ce and 12fret then Martin standards
Wow, quite a difference in sound…. A matter of taste I think. The 324ce very clean sound, But it almost sounded like two guitars playing at times with the 314ce. I’d give the 324ce the overall win, but that 314ce is nice too. I actually own the 314ce along with a Martin D28.. I find myself playing the Taylor more often mainly because the neck feels better to me and makes it easier to play.
4:14 vs 4:58
5:41 vs 6:13
6:42 vs 7:38
8:35 vs 9:03
Thank you!!
Thanks!!
This is awesome thank you! Really made me appreciate the deeper sound of the 324. The 314 sounds almost like it’s more open
Both sound very good. I have the 314ce, amazing guitar!
I agree with you on the 314ce, I prefer small guitars and if you have a really good acoustic amp you can make it sound like a beast.

Great video, I love my 324 CE and my Taylor 814CE-n. Can’t beat Taylor
The 314 sounds a little brighter .. but also dynamic.. can hear the high kids and lows. The 324 is all lows?

Great Review! Thanks. They both sound good but think I would / will go with the 324ce.
Yay! I made the right choice. I bought this pm a 314 CE thank you so much for these video. More power👍

Phenominal playing, beautiful sounding guitar,,,, been searching for my old age guitar, this might be it,,,, thanks
Great playing would really love the tabs and chords for your playing starting at 6:45
Please can you tell me the chords/tabs that u played at the starting please it was amazing
Anyone ? Is this standard tuning ?
@@supahuu3337 i think its in D major tuning because it sounds similar to D tuning
i think first i DADGAD tuning
Both guitars sound great!
I own a gs mini (walnut) and a 322ce. The mini is louder than the 322. But the tone and balance of the 322 just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
I have a 322e and it’s my favorite guitar. Followed closely by my Martin 000-15sm.

Gosh dang that's beautiful playing on beautiful sounding guitars!! Did you write those songs? I'd love to learn some of those
Thanks! Yes I did!
Nice comparison. The 324cs is still my favorite Taylor.

Did you get that 324ce? If so, do you enjoy it?
Is the neck a bit wider than the 214 model ?

Nice video and beautiful sound guitars. Could you do a comparison of a 412ce and a 414ce?
Its on our list of videos to make! Thanks for the feedback!
I'll put it this way: the sound of the 314 is as if heard in mono and the 324 in stereo.
What is that being played??? I want to learn it , but it is hidden by his mic :) (the second song on both)
I just made it up on the spot 🤷♂️. stoked you like it!
I tried today them both in our local shop and for me 314 sounds better. More pronounced and deeper sound to me.
if you want more bright sound, then go for 414ce or 724ce.
If you want more bright and "deeper", boomy sound. Just use any kind of dreadnough :)
@@Therapyxx nice! :) thank you for advice! 👍
What mic is that used in the recordings? Also, was that a blend of the mic and DI? It's mixed very well!

Try in person
i can't imagine having one and not the other
Excellent!
Perfect test

Try a good setup. I setup all my Martin's like a Taylor spec they play like electric guitars
324ce
L❤ve the 314ce
For me 314 sounds better
Can you please tell me whats the last song ?
324’s sounds more of a strumming guitar and 314’s a finger picking guitar 😊
Horse shit
Hi, Tim....
Hey there Antonius!
Tuning??
Drop D I think
It was Jim
342 shines out a lot to me the other is too midi kinde of tiny
324 sounds more subdued
Bought one in Valencia, Spain in August. Nice sounding guitar.
the 324ce was love at first strum lmao I want it so bad but I can't afford it.
@Kepler 186-F hi
@Kepler 186-F good
You can trade up like I did as well as trade in some of your gear. Depends how’s strong the GAS is.
@Kepler 186-F hiiiii how are u??
You can get an ‘Excellent Condition’ used one from Guitar Center for around $1300. New (9/2024) they are $2700.
324 sounds better to me
Why do your guitars sound so out of tune?
We tune to 432hz instead of 440hz because its more in tune with the universe. Tim believes the healing energy produced will regrow his hair.
What???
@@cranbournemusiconline 😂😂😂💪
@@cranbournemusiconlineI didn't understand this comment until I watched some basics in notes theory.... xD
so out of tune or maybe just a little out of tune...So out of tune is a bit extreme... Did you get a tuner out ?
V bracing ruins it. Very washed out sound.
lol
Tambien depende si esta calibrada
