    To me, this song is about healing your inner child. He is looking at his younger self with compassion and calling him come with him.

    • @GMlilEASTSIDEcharlie
      @GMlilEASTSIDEcharlie Год назад +9

      For me it’s like being a child for a few minutes and being able to “play” with people who have passed away. The joy outweighs the butterflies of pain.

    • @lissyperez1
      @lissyperez1 10 месяцев назад +6

      To me it was about his lost child who is no longer here. In some cultures, they refer to their children as their own self. For example, when my husband and I would be talking about grown up stuff, or (for example) what Santa was bringing, and my husband would catch that our son was nearby and watching/listening, my husband would say "my eyes are watching" or "my ears can hear." It took me a minute to catch on to that one, but my husband would explain that it might have been a cultural thing for him because it was very common in his country. So, perhaps this singer is talking about his child. We played this song at our daughter's funeral because we/I would like to hold my little hand, and we would run, and we would crawl, for as long as we could. ❤️

    There are some phrases in this song that if you believe hard enough can form real words, but are really just made up. One part sounds like "Oohmaseeyou," and another like "Mamasaydobeddyalong." Michael Glabicki says that these words aren't supposed to make rational sense. He explained: "I was in the process of coming up with lyrics, and it just sounded so good and felt so right that it had a meaning of its own that you couldn't make better by making it a word. So I left it."

    Sid: "Gee thanks for waiting"
    Diego & Manny: "3, 2, 1"
    Sid gets launched
    Manny: "Sure is faithful"
    This song is ways remembered as being the Ice Age Song and I love that people still talk about Ice Age

    This song makes me happy for no apparent reason. And it's got nothing to do with the fact that Matilda and Ice Age were both part of my childhood. It's just a really happy tune! This goes to my "Breakfast/Good Morning" playlist.
