Look. I don’t really have context for this. I just like watching the animations for dimension 20. But let me just say, Brendon is one of exactly 2 dms who I believe can say “[character] is covered in blood, [character2] is covered in corn…” in a serious tone and Griffin McElroy is the other. In other news, this took a hard left turn that I did NOT see coming, especially not after the corn

This is awesome. It was around a year ago that one of my former players (and then later DM) told me to watch Fantasy High. Fell absolutely in love. Brennan Lee Mulligan is a damn treasure, and everyone else in the cast is just absolutely awesome. Brennan is the fucking GOAT. I'm by no means anywhere near his level, but as an almost first time DM, I can't imagine pulling this perfection out of nowhere after two PCs dying in the first session.
This was so expertly done. Fabien's reaction the split second before Augefort shoots himself, Fig's eyes moving down to follow where the body would be falling, amazing attention to detail!
I really want the next Dimension 20 animated to be either when Gorgug thinks he's his own dad, or when he tackles the fire elemental from the second story onto a table.
Genius animation this is exactly how I imagined this, especially Riz running out then turning back again, and Adaine just rocking back and forth poor kid... Also the fire animation was awesome
I was introduced to D20 from the original clip on Tiktok of the actual table reaction. Having zero context into the episode I've never laughed so hard in my life. Lou and Murph's reaction are the icing on the cake.

Fantasy High Freshman Year was what got me hooked into Dimension 20, specifically this episode. The Unsleeping City Season 1 ultimately changed how I play D&D, it also encouraged me to DM and got me thinking about making Homebrew contents. The Seven was what ultimately made me subscribe to Dropout
I love that Riz, the 15 year old son of a police detective and amateur investigator with a bit of a hero complex and a deep desire for justice, _immediately_ attempts to destroy evidence and tamper with the crime scene LMAO He's so thrown off and distraught by everything that's happened in the last, like, 20ish minutes that his morals and sense of justice and the law are just thrown out the window and only self-preservation is left lmao
I love the trigger warning has Jawbone hold that sign. Such an adorable touch, but such a respectful addition to validate that, yes, if any of those topics upset you, caution in watching this -or choosing not to watch it are legitimate and important decisions.
When they came out with the first one of these. I literally thought (they couldn't possibly do "the price must be paid" on RUclips.) Now I'm here. Loving this scene more then ever before now that it's animated.
This is a great scene to choose to be animated. Pretty much what truly got me hooked into DnD. I would also love to see the scene where everyone's working together to bring the golem down in the Half-pipe fight.
I as of recent got into D&D and asked my friends what I should watch in order to get myself accustomed to the game and have a great time. They said "Oh check out Fantasy High, but beware episode 2." I had no clue what the fuck they were talking about. When I finally reached the end of episode 2, I was floored. Brennan Lee Mulligan doesn't fuck around. This singular moment cemented my love for D&D and Dimension 20. It's so fucked and comes out of nowhere.
The fact that this _epic_ plot twist and death of important NPCs was completely improvised because Brennan did not foresee TWO player characters dying so soon, like literally in Episode 2... _chef's kiss_ just spectacular.

I first time I saw this episode, my jaw dropped and said "WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED!" I was very much like Lou 🤣🤣🤣
The lighting effects on Arthur's suit must have taken a minute, but I respect a dedicated animator when I see one!
I really love how much the D20 crew cares about mental health and safety ❤️ As someone who struggles with moderate to major depression it makes me really happy to see the effort you put into having trigger warning in you videos.
Wizard etiquette 101: If a wizard is about to pull your bum off the burner the least you can do is let them monologue first. It is the one perk of the job!
Harry should animate that one moment where Lou/Fabian got that one epic Box of Doom roll
thank you so much for having me on! what an honor to handle this moment!
Got this notification and knew it was everything I could’ve ever hoped for 💜
Fabians breakdown after everything goes down is my favourite part of this whole scene and is perfectly displayed here. 2:10
***SPOILERS***
Someone needs to animate Aguefort grabbing the sun!
Easily one of the best moments in Fantasy High. It figuratively blew my mind even more than Aguefort did Mister Gibbons' and his own XD
I like how the only magic he visibly showed there was the egg, otherwise it was concealed in the gun, and then Arthur pulls probably one of my favorite one liners before death.
Murph's cadence as Riz complaining about aguefort's monologues is soooo good
Harry Clabon you are a glorious individual and I appreciate this wonderful experience you have given us all
This is awesome. It was around a year ago that one of my former players (and then later DM) told me to watch Fantasy High.
Fell absolutely in love. Brennan Lee Mulligan is a damn treasure, and everyone else in the cast is just absolutely awesome.
A lot of my gaming group are scattered across the globe now, and we sometimes gather and watch episodes together remotely. Great times.
This showed up in my recommendations when it came out and after I watched it I immediately purchased a Dropout subscription and have almost binged the entirety of the series. You guys are gold
The most wtf start to a campaign. I remember my jaw dropping when I heard this play out for the first time.
I love in the animation how Fabian and Fig react to realising that Aguefort is gonna pull the trigger on himself a split second before he does it.
I was introduced to D20 from the original clip on Tiktok of the actual table reaction. Having zero context into the episode I've never laughed so hard in my life. Lou and Murph's reaction are the icing on the cake.
Riz's expressions are everything 😂
Riz is so cute in this animation!
This is even better than what I imagined. Thank you so much Harry Clabon!
It's always a treat to see ANY dimension 20 content animated.
Ah yes, the scene that set the tone for all seasons of Dimension 20
That plot twist when i was watching the series really got me good, Its still amazing watching it animated!!!
This clip is so well animated! I've seen other "animated" clips where they're just 1 frame per second sketches or have no scenery detail - I love all the detail and time spent to this clip! Amazing.
The moment we see Arthur Augefort was batshit insane, but the precursor of the question of ‘how much?’.
I showed Dimension 20 to the rest of my group and when this happened they were just stunned. Good times.
Fantasy High Freshman Year was what got me hooked into Dimension 20, specifically this episode.
The Unsleeping City Season 1 ultimately changed how I play D&D, it also encouraged me to DM and got me thinking about making Homebrew contents.
The Seven was what ultimately made me subscribe to Dropout
he just carries that phoenix egg on him at all times. an extremely valuable object that's just in his coat the entire time
Well he did fuck the Phoenix that laid it.
I was literally relistening to this episode today and thinking how an animatic of this scene would be great! Thank you this is amazing!!!
This is the moment where they hooked me and most of us into Dimension 20. We got Episode 2'd.
I love that Riz, the 15 year old son of a police detective and amateur investigator with a bit of a hero complex and a deep desire for justice, _immediately_ attempts to destroy evidence and tamper with the crime scene LMAO
He's so thrown off and distraught by everything that's happened in the last, like, 20ish minutes that his morals and sense of justice and the law are just thrown out the window and only self-preservation is left lmao
i renewed my dropout subscription 40 minutes ago to watch this animation (also to watch more content lol)
Great news, we have a LOT more coming very soon...
I want Jawbone to give me all the trigger warnings I'll ever need.
2:06 Riz taking the words right out of my mouth
This is a great scene to choose to be animated. Pretty much what truly got me hooked into DnD. I would also love to see the scene where everyone's working together to bring the golem down in the Half-pipe fight.
Been waiting for this scene!!!
I remember seeing that part of the campaign, and this short is exactly how I thought it would play out lol
That's what makes the scene so shockingly funny
i gotta give props to you, this wouldn't nearly be as funny without the animation. good job.
I ADORE how Riz is animated here. Also, just everyone has so much personality how they're animated!
if the chaotic chaotic alignment existed, aguefort would be right there in that category
This moment will always be one of the HARDEST in the series EVER, and Fabian's reaction could not be any more accurate.
Imma just rewatch it all, this is the best campaign ive ever had the pleasure of watching
The fact that this _epic_ plot twist and death of important NPCs was completely improvised because Brennan did not foresee TWO player characters dying so soon, like literally in Episode 2... _chef's kiss_ just spectacular.
Yoo, this is pretty good. This scene definitely deserved an animatic. Huge props to Harry here.
I remember going into Fantasy High thinking "this is just going to only be like SLIGHTLY better harry potter I know it" and then this happened. And all I could hear was that one Brendan quote of him saying "do you think I fuck around?"
