Thanks (from New Zealand). .This video brought back a lot of memories - even the police panda car that my dad used to drive. Loved the Rover P6 3500S in Harvest gold - (2) of the best and most comfortable cars that I have owned..
Hi Chris - you're very welcome, and thank you for watching. These old cars really do resonate with so many of us, don't think? You will find several videos filmed in NZ on our channel if you havent already seen them.
Thanks for a great walk around. now seventy one I remember so many of these cars,I worked in an Austin Rover dealership in Chesham, so saw many new models over the years. Happy Days😀
Hi Guys watched a few of these you tube.. It was so lovely that you also showed the 1977 Daimler 4.2 VDP... My very first classy /executive was Daimler VDP mine was in black with grey vinyl and sumptuous leather interior. Worked real hard to buy it as I was a taxi driver. Sadly I fell ill and ended up in hospital and my mum allowed temporary storage of my car because it broke down. After getting well again my mum started to say it was only temporary, but such a car I needed time to think its issues and possibly start working on it.. My mum sadly didn't give me any time and her lawn mower was far more important. She made me scrap it and I got just £80. Many things have suffered me I eventually owned my parents house be it I owned half and half on mortgage but realized paying a mortgage of £420 back in 2002 felt like a lot of money. As practically all my life was about renting.. But recently I bought a lovely Jaguar Sovereign 4.0 LWB 2001 My Jaguar before that was X registered 3.2 2000 and I owned a 1991 3.2 and the one before that was a 1988 Daimler Sovereign. Right now I have 5 cars and 1 van but I still fancy a Morris Minor 1954 split screen as my dad owned when I was growing up. My ultimate dream a house with driveway and double garage at least. Keep these videos coming. TJ
Hi @sarahrobinson410 - thanks for watching and so pleased it brought back all those memories for you. Good to hear you have bounced back and are enjoying your cars again. Our next video (a driving tour) is close to completion and of course we will be at the Restoration Show early next year, so watch this space 😎
I loved this. I have watched three versions of this show now, [yours being the fourth] and it's amazing how everyone looks at things differently. This is a great thing.
You're very welcome @barrydavies998 - we're pleased to hear you enjoyed it! Hope you're in better health for next year's show - but don't let that stop you following us!
