Aw lol poor Shireen (and apparently poor you hehe). She's doing so much better now at grabbing onto her food. We make a good team now that time has passed :) and she's nice and chubby, too.

This is the first time I see a hornworm, and that looks like a toy and/or a candy and/or a long beans but not long with legs.
when I first saw them I thought they were super cute. Then I felt bad because I knew one day I was going to start feeding them to my leos. Now I cant stand them. They're very messy and when they get big they have a mean bite.

Great vid 💛 I'd love to have a gecko with enigma. I'm used to it anyways; for one, my brother has downsyndrome. For two, I petsit for my friend who has a Leo with enigma. Plus, they hardly ever get adopted, no one else I know that doesn't already have one wants a 'disabled' leopard gecko... Except for me!

Cute video. So wish I had the courage to feed my little one's horn worms. I know they are a great food source but I have a problem that I think horn worms are adorable! Their little feet are so cute and they are such a pretty color. I'm weird I know.🙃

Hey jessica! I was wondering if you could answer a question I have? My leopard gecko hasn’t been as interested in food lately? She is almost 4 years old, and she seems healthy, she gets her calcium, and I feed her mealworms. She had a bit of a problem with stuck she’d a while ago but she’s doing much better now (I’m pretty sure the stuck shed was caused by the weather we were having). But do you have any idea why she wouldn’t be wanting food? She normally loves to eat, but recently she just ignores it or goes into her hide again?

Hello I’ve been raising leopard geckos for a while now but I still can’t tell completely, how do you know if a gecko has enigma syndrome? My little buddy is about 3 months old and will not hunt for himself, he only eats off the tweezers. He bumps into things randomly and climbs all over his tank mate(both same age soon to be separated) he won’t chase things he sees moving and gets freaked out when his tank mate touches him even if he could see she was there. He’s not blind as every time I put my hand in the cage he runs out and jumps onto it so he can hang out in my hair. He just seems a little dumb like there’s no thought behind his eyes lol
enigma syndrome only occurs with the enigma morph. if you know your leo's morph and it's not enigma, then it's not ES. ES symptoms usually involve stargazing (looking upwards at an unnaturally bent back angle), circling (kinda like a dog chasing its tail) and a wobble or being off balance.
theres nothing wrong with a gecko that only eats off tongs :)
(i would also separate sooner rather than later because cohabbing a male and female leads to more harm than good, as is with cohabbing any leos at all. watch out for eggs in the female and freeze and discard them if you find any)

Breeding hornworms is really difficult from what I’ve heard

It is flexible, not sharp, and will not hurt them

hi! I have been using a gecko bookshelf now for over three years. I have changed the model over time to address any issues. the current bookshelves I use do not have any issues with heat, and my geckos do not jump off the shelves when their doors are open. regardless, I would not leave them unattended. would not want to risk it.

I commend you! They're hard to find unless you have connections in the reptile community. You can always ask breeders if they have any pet only geckos

These are old enclosures, but the heat mats were placed under the kitchen cabinet liner on top of the shelves

leopard geckos are less maintenance and less expensive IMO but I love both beardies and leos
so why you didn't make you gecko vegetarian? There are so many options from beans and romane lettuce and beans.

I'm trying to do research because I might want to get a beardie or a leopard gecko with leopard geckos how often do you need to feed them and how many worms or insects would I need to feed them every time I fed them? I also currently have two turtles
+Gwen Taylor I feed my leos every other night, though growing or malnourished leos require more feeding. It all depends on the gecko honestly some prefer mealworms others like superworms or Dubia worms or horn worms. One rule I follow when feeding is to not feed food wider than the space between the animal's eyes. If you want you can email me or DM me on FB/IG to have a more in depth conversation

I have both one is a bearded dragon and they tend to eat more than leopard geckos and I got my leopard gecko 1 week ago and my bearded dragon 2 years ago
