Once u start listening to Cody man u literally can't stop, guy is so well spoken and he carries himself with so much elegance..not to mention that he always looks on point
@@lindelwemavimbela1115on TV, yes but off tv and especially as he got older, Dusty's lisp left him. And Cody's lisp isn't as pronounced as Dusty's was.
I Agree with you 100% when Cody left after the Stardust thing and went to the indies, he knew he had to step up and set a culture in every locker room he stepped into until he got to AEW. By the time he got to AEW, the suits had become apart of his character and made Cody the star he is today.
My dad passed away unexpectedly 7 months ago. We were best friends. I can still barely get through each day. I really appreciate the perspectives of Cody and Dale about their dads and how they keep them both alive by honoring their memories and legacies.
I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my FiL and Mother a year apart. I try to focus on their best qualities and incorporate them into my relationships. I hope you have a good support group.
I love how Cody is laser focused on Dale Jr when he is asking Cody a question. And the thoughtfulness in his answers is simply awesome. And to top it off, Cody is dressed in a three piece suit. Come on now! Talk about presenting yourself in such a positive light and respectful manner. Kudos to him for setting a great example.
He always credits Cena and Hunter as his role models and I can absolutely see what he took from both guys, and obviously he looks up to Dusty as much if not more as he did with those guys I just mentioned. And you can tell leaving and going to the indies and eventually with ROH and AEW, was something that absolutely needed to be done for him to not only be perceived by WWE management as a top guy but also as a grown adult and not the same 19 year old kid they signed in 2006.
"Your work creates the process" That is 100% true. I've had experiences where I followed a process but wasn't putting in the work, and things weren't happening for me like they were for others who did put in the work.
If there's one thing Cody has going for him is that he learned from his father, Dusty, well because he was one of the greatest voices to ever grace a mic and go in the ring. The fact Cody is where he is today is all on him deciding to give what his father taught him an update which has really made him one of the most successful son of a famous wrestler stories in wrestling.
At first I was planning on binge listening to the 2023 season episodes once the racing season was over but seeing that Cody was going to be the guest I had to listen to it the day of release, and it was worth it.
@@HiPHOPx87 you actually believe me? It was after their match against each other on their way out of the ring, I was around 6 years old, not an introduction handshake...lol
Quite the interesting crossover. If you’re going to censor your podcast tho you should change your bleeps to a tire squeal or a horn or something. Helps make the censorship less annoying and adds a bit of humor.
I've been watching a lot of wrestling interviews lately whether it's Cody or somebody else. I keep on forgetting that it's Dale interviewing him so everytime the camera cuts back to Dale I have to do a double take.

Dusty was also when out of character, both very well spoken
He sounds just like his dad, minus the lisp. Candace, mannerism, words he's chooses.
@@devinaschenbrenner2683 didn't Dusty also have a lisp...I don't quite remember but I think he did

Cody Rhodes is such a great speaker, and keeps you hooked. Great episode.

lost my dad Summer of '22 and Im still wrecked. You have my sympathies.
Love listening to Cody. Dude is so well spoken.
Probably one of the best episodes.
This one hits especially hard today. Today us the 6th anniversary of my dad's passing. I completly get every word Cody said

Probably one of the best episodes.. Touchette. Thanks.
interview of the year right here.
I wish Cody all the success now and in the future. Seems like such a great guy
Thanks for having him on... Always and forever a fan
Cody is class act. Glad these two did this

I actually had no idea who this guest was at first, but it was entertaining. Every answer he gave was better than the one before.
Funny thing is that there will be some fans of his who find this video and have no idea who Dale Jr is lmao

I saw Cody as Stardust at a live show a few years back. So happy to see where he's at now!
You know I went in to this with the wrong mindset thinking who cares but I was sadly mistaken great interview
Awesome interview
Great video!

This is awesome
Why is the lead in music so much louder than the rest of the video?
Things have felt amateurish since Matthew Dillner left.
Touchette. Thanks
When I seen Cody rhodes on here I thought. What in the hell? But show the whole dang thing please!
Easily the best dressed guest on dale jr dl so far. Wrestlers sure have come a long way since the wildmen of the 80s that i remember lol
Y’all got to fix the audio. It’s loud intro then quiet talking then loud beeps
I shook Dusty Rhoad's and Harley Race's hand at my first wrestling match when I was a kid back in the late 70's...lol
That's cool AF. I actually believe you

Gold dust and the rock...hit different it just works . And they can call him duey

Seriously. Hearing Dale Jr be like, “so lemme ask ya about stardust” is such an unexpected crossover.
When will this be on peacock
❤
Intro- bleeding ears, searching for the volume. Only to be able not to hear the voices 😂 every time.
Good podcast, you should interview jelly roll
Did dale just do very good research or is he an actual fan? It's cool how much he seems to know
Don't quote me, but I feel like I remember dale saying they were friends a while back
He was a NWA fan growing up, they were big in the Carolina's back in the 80's and early 90's...
Cody Rhodes with the Geese Howard vibes!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm not being disrespectful, but is something wrong with his face? or looks like he has a wig on?
Cody's natural hair color is black, so he's dyed his hair blond.
He dyes his hair blonde to match Dusty
He should have John Cena on his podcast next
The thumbnail of this guy looks fake!
Did Max Headroom from the 80’s come to life? 😅
Watch wrestling till i went to a match and saw it live. So phony.
Who is Cody Rhodes???
He be the son of the legendary Dirt Roads,, better known as the American dream DUSTY RHOADES.
