Family Holiday Trip to Gladstone

Our holiday trip to Gladstone was a delightful escape filled with simple joys and memorable moments. The journey took us just three hours, a pleasant drive that set the tone for the day. Upon arriving, we headed straight to the city center, where the town’s charm welcomed us warmly.
We decided to grab some essentials from Woolies for lunch, a quick and easy stop. But the real treat came afterward when we indulged in creamy, delicious ice cream that made us all smile. To our surprise, we stumbled upon a free ride attraction in the area-it was unexpected and fun, adding a whimsical touch to our day.
After soaking in the lively atmosphere of the city center, we continued our adventure, driving to the Gladstone Botanical Gardens. The gardens were serene, a perfect contrast to the buzz of the town. We found a shaded spot by the lake and unpacked our lunch, enjoying a peaceful meal surrounded by nature.
The highlight of our time at the gardens was feeding the turtles. Watching them eagerly approach the water's edge for a bite brought so much joy, especially to the kids. It was a simple but magical experience, one we’ll treasure.
