Dizzee’s I Luv U basically introduced Grime to the world. It was the first one to really blow up and travel beyond the local/early grime audience in the UK and reach the ears of the mainstream audiences despite there being absolutely nothing mainstream or traditional about it. It broke all the rules. And still sounds fresh today - 20 years later. And he wrote it when he was still at school, like age 16 🔥🔥🔥
dizzy was the first uk grime artist i can remember and im 49 went to my daughters high school for her to recive an award and they played his track BONKERS llloooolllll cant belive hes still going
