Spain 7 - Northward bound and the Haro tapas Hunt.

- Our camper van heads North for the first time in two months, as we head up through Spain. We do manage three nights in Haro before the ferry, because we feel that finding the ideal tapas bar requires some dedication!
That area of Spain looks amazing.
Hi Robert🙂. It is. To be honest we'd like to spend more time in Northern Spain but its still too cold in the Winter for us (for camping at least). Sometimes we were able to get over in May and it was just perfect then.

La Rioja, what a lovely area of Spain, we had planned a trip (pilgrimage) to the Campo Viejo vineyard in the next town Logroño. Can’t think of anything better than Tapas & vino tinto……trust you tried the pigs ears🫣

Hi Andy and Bev😁. Unfortunately the next day was Saturday and the Tapas places were all mobbed! We got a little corner in the first place we were last week and stayed in it. We're not really cut out for fighting our way to the bar!

Awww every time you get me with the ‘hello to Cleo, Charlie and Joey’!!! Just been away for the weekend in the van and as we pulled up one of our granddaughters was outside the house and so happy to see us. What a joy they are. Hi Ruth😁. Years ago before we had grandchildren, someone older than us told us they change everything. We had no idea what that actually meant until they arrived! Change for the good obviously🙂.

Another great video, can I ask, do you find in Northan Spain they speak Catalonian (not sure spelling correct😝) or spanish, we are coming later this year, last time we came we found in Bilboa they wouldn't speak spanish it was very confusing xxx
Thanks Jackie, much appreciated😊. I think up in that area (North East) it's really Basque country. I know that down in Catalonia (South East) , any attempt to speak Catalonian (not sure myself if that is how they say it), is welcomed. I just use Google translate, but really try to get the accent right. We were once at the little tapas stall in Tarragona covered market (it's in one of our videos) and I asked to pay please in Catalonian. Two guys at the bar heard, and we ended up having a drink with them and learned a lot about Catalonia😁. It's really worth having a go.
