The Black Keys’ music invokes a feeling of nostalgia. Even when listening to a song that you’ve never heard before and don’t have a specific memory connected to it.
Should be top 10 on the hit chart like many of their other songs, The Black Keys music is way to underrated. But the masses prefer generic rythm’s, chord progressions and autotune instead I guess.
I didn't remember how good this band could be. Now I do. They're still able to put one of their greatest songs, after 22 years of activity... Who does better?
Now have three new singles for the new album. Very exciting these guys are pumping out music quickly.... Delta kream, dropout boogie, Ohio players, all within last four years. Best blues band ever. Favorite album probably still is Rubber Factory or El Camino but this is one of those groups that anything they do is amazing
@l.l133 : ...but not a true bass guitar -- just a regular guitar made to sound like a bass via a combination of tuning manipulations and pedal effects
: All that being said, while this band is classified as a "power-duo" (like: The White Stripes; The Kills; Wye Oak; et. al.), they do record with session musicians in-studio. I think Dan sometimes plays keyboards on select songs during the recording process of given albums, but they obviously have other musicians play keyboards on tour so that he can focus on his guitar parts. And, yes, this is very likely a real bass being played by a session bassist rather than my aforementioned suggestion of Dan playing a regular guitar that's been super-downtuned with additional pedal effects. I was just offering that it's possible, thru a combination of instrument and equipment/gear tweakage, as well as studio trickery, to make a regular guitar sound like a bass. Jack White did this a lot with his guitars during his White Stripes days. Plus, he liked to use a lot of hollow-bodied electrics, which help enhance that effect as well
I've heard of them but don't think I've actually heard them. Came on a reccomendation playlist. Loving this. Band Hyukoh might interest those. And possibly car the garden.
I recommand you to check their album Brothers came out in 2010, it's their magnum opus. Then if you like you can just check the discography in order since 2002.
@paula You all are the damn best. I'm honored to have the kind of support that you show me, thank you. How are you doing? it is nice meeting you here btw
This band is so good. Almost 20 years of good music
Almost? lol They started in 2001 so....
@@strangewayfaringstranger thanks for that you are definitely smarter than me
Great to see how the music has evolved. The big come up, raw af to more R & B influenced stuff. This song sounds like Beck. All good tho 👍
@@strangewayfaringstranger Yup, saw my first Black Keys concert in 2003 at the Crystal Ballroom when they opened for Sleater-Kinney!
Great music. Even their deep cuts are gold baby!
Any place, even nowhere, is nice if you're listening to the black keys.
That's a good tune too!@@BolognaShip
Nowhere is the place to be - once you get it, you get it
Indeed!

Good one, we lost listening!
That retro & vintage feel with a touch of nostalgia... The Black Keys have perfected it
thats because they ripped it off.
@@timothy790110 nothing new under the sun....

Not a lot of songs that speak to me. This one SCREAMS at me. Summer anthem 2024.
I just love their stuff. I’m 14 and my first concert was The Black Keys at red rocks so I’ll always love them.
Shit, I'm Old. I'm 14 when they release Turn Blue.
Red Rocks? I've always wanted to go there 😭Forza Horizon was my favorite game of all time and seeing that place, listening to Black Keys, what a jam!
Lucky you! Always cherish that memory!
Mine was Metallica/godsmack and this is great music, awesome band to see for 1st time concert
My first concert was at Red Rocks as well. No other concert venue will ever compare.
Dan and Pat are the gift that keeps giving!

You can totally hear Beck's "influence" on this song...loving the new songs so much!!!✌
Is Beck producing their album?
@@kevinbernatek7875 - not the entire album...several songs though. There's a lot collaboration on this record...Beck, Noel Gallagher, etc..

It definitely sounds more indie.
Totally agree but I'm not sold. The creativity and rock and roll core is quickly evaporating.
Vintage theme makes it even better, superb atmosphere
2024 is a going to be a good year with the black keys by our side.
Man got my head bobbing. Driving in beautiful weather. This song hits!!! They never disappoint!!
This album is shaping up to have a little bit of every style they have done, getting The Arcs vibes from this song as well. Rock on guys
The way the start comes in is absolute fire, love you guys so much, peace everyone.

Akron's finest.
Song after song… pure class. whoever is in charge of your drum sound, you are a mastermind
