Is the rj stampings like for example 609 stamp number and that's it or how can I tell

RJ Stampings are Vietnam era helmets with 3 digit heat stamps. Ingersoll will have a 1- or I- ahead of the numbers and Dana/Parish have small 4 digit heat stamps near the rear of the crown.

@SimonOfFortune thank you for the information. I have been looking for a Parish M1 helmet and a few have told me they have never seen one in their day,but another had two but never said what how to spot a Parish. I believe that guy may have said that the Parish has a P stamped normally by the right side bale if the helmet was on your head. Thanks again

@jimmymarsh2489 Parish-Reading and Dana-Parish are two different things. Parish-Readings were made at the very tail end of WW2 so their contract was quickly cancelled and they're very rare, which are the ones with the P heat stamps. Dana-Parish helmets are from Vietnam and are much more common, and have the 4 digit stamps.
