    Hi Vince,
I thanked my direct manager when she met with me about my desire to receive disability accommodations.
In the meeting, I explicitly stated my disabilities, explained I had been under significant medical treatment, and a provided a printed list of accommodations I hoped to receive which we discussed. She asked me questions and I explained how the accommodations would help me. I explained I received these or similar accommodations at my public state high school and college.
I was relieved when she verbalized that the accommodations I was requesting sounded reasonable.
I audio recorded that meeting and followed it up with an email and copied the HR director. I attached the same list of requested accommodations. The HR Director replied and asked me to follow up through the formal ADA accommodation request process, to which I agreed.
I was in the process of working with my physician to complete the formal request paperwork when I was unexpectedly terminated, just three days after disclosing my disabilities and requesting accommodations.
Am I protected by the ADA, despite not having completed the company's formal request process for accommodations?
    Thank you,
    May H. M.

    Hi Vince,
If the EEOC is investigating your complaint, and you don't have a lawyer, how much documentation should generally be uploaded to the portal?
A.) The bare minimum, a.k.a, only what the EEOC specifically requests
B.) Only critical documents (as determined by the charging party)
    C.) Only directly-related documents
D.) Anything that could be used as evidence even if not directly related
    E.) Other
    Many thanks!

    Hi Vince,
If you report you have a disability to your employer (e.g., migraines) and they gladly make accommodations for you without a physician's note and without you filing through the institution's formal ADA accommodation request process--but they do not honor reasonable accommodation requests when you later report other invisible disabilities--could that be considered a sign of discrimination?
    Thanks,
    May H. M.
