The line about crypto has aged so well. I date women and while they can emotionally gut you like a whale on a Japanese fishing boat, at least I don't have to hear about crypto.
Yeah, it's annoying to hear about world changing monetary revolutions and the solution to the digital double spend problem that took decades to solve.
@@zarbinsthey're not complaining about the existence of crypto or saying it's a negative thing. They're saying it's grating when something becomes ubiquitous enough that people make it their entire personality and jump at any chance to sing its praises or defend it from the tiniest perceived criticism. For instance when someone points out that the anonymity and untraceability, which are key selling points of the currency, make it a hotbed for scams and money laundering and they get told "that's just fud" and "just don't get scammed". Or the fact that the ease and stability of crypto is a well crafted lie when the platforms that make it "easy" are the same ones that offload the accounts they manage to a "third party" and then pretend they can't get you your money back because they invested it. Just because SBF got caught doesn't make crypto safe for the average person to dump their savings into.

I saw Garfunkel and Oats and got excited because I thought they had something new. Oh well, this is still good. But not quite what I hoped.
Oh WOW! I was just watching 'Wednesday' and I saw Garfunkel 'Riki Lindhome', who plays the therapist, Dr. Valerie Kinbott in the 'Wednesday' Netflix series. I knew I had seen her before. She has the one eye that looks over to the right.

Too many of our base needs are met so we fight over mainly ideological issues. Like you said it doesn’t really make a difference in anyone’s lives (compared to, say, reliable power to our homes, access to food, access to education, etc.), but by god we have to have something to divide us and fight over.
